^How about Mere Humsafar from Refugee?? 😳 😳
She felt lost. The ache she felt welled up into tears, but never fell. It was too painful to let them go. How could she let go, when everything reminded her of him? Even the soft breeze reminded her of his touch.
Vidya pulled he shawl a little tighter against herself, trying to shut out her senses. Sitting on the river bank of her home town Benares, she tried to forget how she'd first met him.
The towel had managed to slip away from her. Vidya contemplated wading into the water to get the towel, then knowing she'd hear from Chachi if she didn't, she stepped into the cold water reaching out to grab. Just as she placed her fingers on the towel, she was showered by water, as he'd come out.
She stared, unable to look away, but pulled the towel in between them as a small protection as he neared her.
He reached out to take her hand. Suddenly it started raining..
Vidya opened her eyes, wondering how the memory of that night had crept in. She smiled sadly. She could still see Saagar, as clearly as if he was standing right there in front of her. Reaching out for her, beckoning her to join him.
She closed her eyes again and took his hand.
*Raat Ka Nasha Abhi
Aankh Se Gaya Nahin*
Saagar pulled Vidya into the rain, and twirled her. She laughed, stretching her arms beside her to take in the rain, her red sari now completely drenched. She closed her eyes, looking skyward, the droplets gently trailing down her face to her neck.
Saagar traced the drops with his fingers, trying to catch them before they reached the bottom of her neck. Vidya turned to move away but Saagar wrapped his arms around her shoulders pulling her into his arms.
*Tera Nashila Badan
Baahon Ne Chhoda Nahi*
Vidya opened her eyes, and Saagar stood in front of her, waist deep in the water.
*Aankhen To Kholi Magar
Sapna Woh Toda Nahin*
He moved closer to her, leaning in to kiss her, touching her lips with his just lightly.
*Haan Wohi Woh Wohi
Saason Pe Rakha Hua Tere Hoton Ka
Sapna Abhi Hai Wahi*
Vidya touched her lips as Saagar disappeared into the night, just a figment of her imagination.
*Raat Ka Nasha Abhi
Aankh Se Gaya Nahin...*
Vidya stretches her hand into the river, wading her fingers in the cool water, gently splashing it beside her.
*Tere Bina Bhi Kabhi
Tujhse Machal Leti Hoon*
Saagar, moved to Vidya's back, pulling her hair aside, and tracing the rain water with his fingers, tickling her with each touch. She arched her back as his lips replaced his fingers. His hands trailed down her arms, holding them at her side. He turned her to face frontwards, burying his face in the crook of her neck.
*Karvat Badalti Hoon To
Sapna Badal Leti Hoon
Tera Khayal Aaye To
Balkhake Pal Jaata Hai*
Vidya shivered at the memory, the frenzy of his touches causing her senses to tingle. She placed her shawl beside her and walked into the water, letting the water drape her as she moved deeper into the river.
*Paani Ke Chaadar Tale
Dum Mera Jal Jaata Hai*
She could feel him again so close to her, yet knowing that he would ever come for her.
*Haan Wohi Woh Wohi
Saason Pe Rakha Hua Tere Hoton Ka
Sapna Abhi Hai Wahi*
She could feel his arms draped around her, warming her despite the coolness of the river.
*Raat Ka Nasha Abhi
Aankh Se Gaya Nahin...*
He'd come for her. Losing her, he'd understood what she'd meant to him. Saagar watched Vidya's tears and knew he was the cause for them. He had hurt her, despite what she'd done for him. He pulled her in his arms not minding that she was wet, just needing to comfort her and feel her close to him.
*Tere Gale Milne Ke
Mausam Bade Hote Hain*
Saagar remembered the day of the wedding, Vidya had promised to be his best friend, always remaining true to her promise.
*Janmon Ka Vaada Koi
Yeh Gham Bade Chhote Hain*
He turned her to face towards, wiping her tears with the pads of his thumbs.
*Lambi Si Ek Raat Ho
Lamba Sa Ek Din Mile*
Vidya hadn't realized that she was crying. Finally she could let go, just savor the feeling of his presence.
*Bas Itna Sa Jeena Ho
Milan Ki Ghadi Jab Mile*
She knew he couldn't possibly be here. The Saagar standing in front of her, comforting her was just another dream.
*Haan Wohi Bas Wohi
Saason Pe Rakha Hua Tere Hoton Ka
Sapna Abhi Hai Wahi*
Vidya touched Saagar's face with her fingers, but he didn't disappear like before. He was really here. She wrapped her arms around him, crying against his chest, never wanting to let go.
Saagar tightened his hold around her, enveloping her completely into him.
*Raat Ka Nasha Abhi
Aankh Se Gaya Nahin...*
