Part 3

(I'm going to try to write this chapter all from Vidya's point of view, so all the I's will be Vidya talking.) For recap go to page 6 please!

"Four absolutely wasted years," I informed my reflection.

Sure, I had seen Tushar once school had started. But the first time I caught sight of him, he was standing with a bunch of popular guys that I recognized from middle school. When I walked by the group, Tushar didn't seem to remember me.

That morning I hadn't had the guts to go up and say hi to him. And, four years later, I still didn't have the nerve. As far as Tushar was concerned, the girl from the skating rink, didn't exist.

If only he would notice me, I thought now, gazing into my chocolaty brown eyes. Where were the fairy godmothers when a girl really needed one? If only some fluttering, floating, Tinkerbell type would wave a magic wand and make Tushar fall head over heels for me.

Abracadabra. I would walk into English class, and the air would crackle with electricity. From across the crowded room Tushar would stare at me, his eyes smoldering with passion.

"Vidya," he would murmur. "I never realized that you are that girl from the skating rink. For four years I've dreamed of this day.."

And then he would ask me to the big dance. My fantasy was so real that I found myself smiling to the mirror. I flipped my ponytail and fluttered my eyelashes.

"I would love to go to the dance with you," I murmured softly.

Behind me I head someone clear their throat. Oh no! My stomach sank to my feet. I bit my lip and spun away from the mirror.

Who caught Vidya? That will be revealed in the next part, either tomorrow or…actually never mind, it will definitely be tomorrow! The reason this part was also so short, is because technically I wasn't supposed to even update this ff today, but I still did…so!
