Saagar's words from the morning echoed in Vidya's mind. How easily he had talked about separation. He might not remember Vidya but she couldn't just forget and leave. She couldn't and didn't even want to imagine her life without him in it.
She stared at a picture of both of them together remembering when they had taken it.
"Vidya, Idhar aao naa." Saagar and Vidya had been at the beach, and Saagar was dragging Vidya everywhere, showing her around.
"Ji, aap aaste chalenge." Vidya said trying to keep up with Saagar.
"Chalo naa, hum wahaan ek photo lenge."
"Potho?"
"Photo stupid. Hum dono ki tasveer. Tum bolte rahogi to tumhein aa jayega. Photo..photo.."
"Photo.." Vidya murmured as she ran her fingers gently over the picture. She didn't know what to do and wondered what god had planned for her.

"Humein ek plan ki zaroorat hai. Hum dadda aur bhabhi ko yuhi thodi alag hone de sakte hain." Chinu looked over to Bharat.
"Lekin hum kare to kya. Mujhe kuch samajh nahi aa raha hai.
"Party." Shalu interrupted her husband.
"Shalu tumhe party ki sooj rahi hai. Hum yahan pareshaan hain."
Shalu shakes her head, "Nahi, Sindoora Di ne aaj party di hai. Saagar ke get well ke liye. To party main agar hum kuch plan banaye Saagar aur Vidya ke liye. Fun hoga na?"
Bharat thinks a little but Chinu isn't sure. "Haan Chinu, hum party main kuch kar sakte hain. Dono ko each doosre ke paas lane ke liye."
Chinu nods, "Theeke."
Shalu smiles, "Tum dono Saagar key in-charge ho, aur main Vidya ke. Deal?"
Chinu just smiles at his wife and leaves with Bharat to find Saagar.
They find him in his room looking up and down for something.
"Dadda kya dhoond rahe hai aap."
"Hey Chinu, Thank God. Mujhe meri guitar nahi mil rahi hain. Have any of you seen my guitar?"
"Woh Vidya mami ko pata hoga."
Saagar stopped looking for his guitar and looked at Bharat.
"Vidya ko?"
"Haan dadda. Aapki sare cheezo ka khayal to wohi rakhti thi."
"Theeke Bharat kya tum Vidya se pooch sakte ho ki meri guitar kaha rakhi hain."
"Aap Vidya se khud pooch lijiye dadda. Kyu Bhabhi?"
Saagar turned towards the door having just noticed Vidya standing by the door.
Shalu was standing behind Vidya. "Arre Chinu, tum yahan aa sakte ho, mujhe tumhe aur Bharat ko kuch dikhana hai." She winked making sure neither Vidya or Saagar saw.
Bharat nodded and followed Chinu towards the door, as Saagar and Vidya just stood there awkwardly.
Chinu and Bharat smiled at each other then closed the door behind them locking it from outside, without Saagar or Vidya noticing.
"Uh..I was looking for my Guitar?" Saagar said not directly addressing Vidya.
"Aapki guitar woh cupboard ke upar rakhi hui hain." Vidya grabbed a stool from near Saagar's bed and positioned it next to the closet. She stood on it and attempted to remove it, but the stool shook as Vidya reached for it.
Saagar quickly rushed to Vidya's side, and held on to her to steady her, wrapping his arms around her knees
Vidya reached for the guitar and pulled it down. She tried getting down but it was difficult with the guitar in her hand.
Saagar took the guitar from her leaning it against the cupboard then grabbed her hand to help her down.
Vidya supported herself against Saagar's shoulders as she got down from the stool, and his arms moved towards her waist.
On the ground she was nearly at eye level with him, and in such proximity, she could feel the pace of heart beat increase. Afraid that he could hear it too, she nervously moved away but found that Saagar still held on to her waist, staring at her, as if lost in some thought.
Vidya blushed and averted her gaze, "Ji, Kya aap...Woh humein bahar kaam tha..?"
Saagar immediately let go, and Vidya moved towards the door, when she felt her pallo tug. Vidya surprised turned around to find that her pallo had gotten stuck in Saagar's shirt.
Vidya and Saagar both attempted to free it. Vidya tried tugging it to free it, but Saagar stopped her. "Tumhaara pallo tear ho jayega. Ek minute ruko."
As soon as Saagar had freed it, Vidya moved away. She tried to open the door but it was locked.
"Ab kya hua?" Saagar asked.
"Ji woh bund hai."
"Bund hai to kholo."
Vidya looked at Saagar in frustration, "Wahi to main kar rahi hoon. Khul nahi raha hai."
Saagar yelled, "What? Kya matlab hai khul nahi raha hain?"
"Bahar se shayad..." she stopped as Saagar attempted to open the door.
He knocked the door but to no avail.
"Ji ab hum kya kare?"
"What the heck do you mean hum kya kare? I don't have time for this." Saagar yelled at Vidya who jumped at the tone of his voice, and moved away from him. "Mujhe sochne do."
Vidya just nodded and took a seat near the bed as Saagar paced.
"Abhi abhi to yahi the, sare family members kahaan gaye?" He knocked on the door again, but nobody answered.
"This is so stupid."
"Woh sab...bahaar honge." Vidya said in a small voice.
"Kya?" Saagar asked annoyed.
"Woh sab log bahaar honge, woh aaj shaam ki tayaari mein."
"To uska matlab jab tak no one misses us, we have to stay here. Impossible. Main yahaan, no way. Tumhaare paas master key nahi hai?"
"M..muster..ki...?"
"Chaavi. Kamre ki chaavi?"
"Ji nahi, woh to..."
"Stupid." Saagar hit his palm against the door, then yelped in pain.
Vidya worried rushed to him taking his palm in her hand. "Aapko chot lag jayegi."
"Don't come near me." Saagar pulled his hand away, like he had been shocked. "Don't touch me."
Vidya looked sad, "Aap..."
"Chup. Just quiet okay. Yeh aap aap...yeh ji....just stop it okay. Chid hoti hain mujhe."
Vidya didn't say anything after that, as Saagar continued to pace.
After a few moments of silents Saagar stared at Vidya, and sighed internally. He hadn't intended to be mean to her, but earlier when she was in his arms, he'd felt something. Something nigling at him, like he was supposed to remember something, but couldn't.
When she was in close proximity to him, he felt frazzled, and what irritated him was because he didn't know why. It felt familiar but yet so strange.
He looked at her, sadly hugging her knees against her chest and he felt like terrible. She'd flinched when he'd yelled at her, and he'd immediately regretted his words.
He sighed, "I am sorry."
Vidya looked at Saagar confused not able to understand.
"Mujhe tum par chilaana nahi chahiye tha. Mujhe maaf kardo."
Vidya smiled sadly, "Aap..." then paused realizing what he'd said. "Koi baat nahi. Pati patni ke beech yeh to aam baat hai na?"
"Lekin hum pati patni kaise ho sakte hain? Main tumhaare baare main kuch nahi jaanta hoon, aur tum mere asal zindagi ke baare main nahi jaanti ho. To phir, jab hum aisi koi samajh hi nahi hai, to phir hum kaise...How do I make you understand?"
"Jis Saagar se tumhaari shaadi hui thi, woh mann se ek baccha tha. Main aisa nahi hoon. Meri chaahatein alag hain. Meri soch bhi alag hai. Main woh Saagar nahi hoon jis se tumhaari shaadi hui thi. Aur main to tumhe jaanta hi nahi."
"Aap galat hai. Maine jis Saagar ko apna maana hai, woh abhi bhi mujhe aap mein nazar aata hai. Woh abhi bhi mere saath hai. Shayad aapki yaadein, aapki baatein, ya phir aapki soch alag hai, lekin aapka mann nahi badla hai, aapka dil bhi nahi."
*Sorry if that was terrible...*
