Episode 10

Early morning at around about 5.15am, Vidya reaches the shores of the River Ganga. Priests are performing their early prayers. Vidya goes down the steps and seats herself down for a while. She observes the beautiful river and remembers the first she saw Saagar coming out of the waters; she recollects the innocence, the charm….she smiles with a glow in her eyes. All of a sudden she feels a light splash on her face, she comes out of her dream world.

The ripples nearby seem more active than usual, something merges out, something familiar. Vidya continues to see a figure arising out of the river, she gets a sense of dj vu. A pair of hands on wet hair arise out and gradually the top half of Saagar is seen. Just like the first meeting, Saagar has no top on, he has his eyes closed which open after he has Vidya positioned in front of his eyes. He gives his naughty smile and saunters through the water, towards the amazed girl.

He leans his left hands towards Vidya as if trying to pull her in and she expects so too but instead he takes the towel placed beside her. He dries his hair while he is still in the river.

Saagar: (cheekily) Arre Vidya, tum yaha?

Vidya: (get suspicious) Aap yaha kya karahe hai?

Saagar: Mujhe toh adaat hai…swimming ki. Tumhe toh pata hai.

Vidya gets up and walks away, Saagar follows- he is wearing his black tracksuit bottoms with his towel on his bare shoulders. He's still not dry….

Vidya: (continues to look forward, ignoring Saagar) Aap mera peecha kyon karahe hai?

Saagar: (catches up and walks beside her) Main kaha peecha karaha hu??…tumhare saath chal raha hu…. (stops) chalna chahta hu…

Vidya continues to walk. Saagar catches up again as they both walk through the market, they get odd looks as Saagar still hasn't got his top on.

Vidya: (unawkward smile) Aap kapre nahin le aye…

Saagar: (sarcastically) Kapre toh pehne hai…

Vidya: (puts her hair behind her ear) Upar ka…

Saagar: Nahin toh…! Kyon mein acha nahin lag raha?

Vidya: (gives an irritated look) Sab dekh rahe hai

Saagar: (puts his hand on his chin) Toh?

Vidya: Acha nahin lagta…

Saagar: Lekin unn dono larki ko zaroor acha lag raha hai…. (points towards two young girls sniggering away looking at Saagar)

Vidya's face drops and she gives evils to the smirky Saagar. He takes advantage of this burning jealousy of Vidya's and waves to the girls, which makes them giggle more and eventually they run off blushing. Saagar turns back to Vidya….

Saagar: (trying hard not to smile) Kya hua?

Vidya: Kya Hua?

Saagar: Tumhara chehra ka rang… (smiles)

Vidya: (flicks her face) Kya hua mere chehre ko?

Saagar: I think tumhe pata hai!

Vidya: (firmly) Agar mujhe jalake aapko bahut mazaa aa raha hai toh aap vapaas Surili ke paas kyon nahin chale jaate. (Pain in her voice) Har din aap dono ko saath dekh kar mujhe kitni- (stops herself from saying the next words)

Saagar feels guilty.

Saagar: (tries to reconcile) Vidya…

But she storms off and Saagar puts his hand on his forehead.

aahh!! im speechless! u r tooooooo talented!!! 😳

Episode 11

Saagar reaches home on his own and comes straight in to the kitchen where Vidya and her mother are preparing lunch.

Saagar: Main madat karu?

Vidya smirks at the sound of Saagar helping out in the kitchen, Saagar has a smile on his face to see Vidya happy even the slightest bit. He continues…

Saagar: (pretends to ignore Vidya) Seriously maa, agar aapko koi bhi madat ki zaroorat hai…tell me (picks up a carrot and begins to eat it, after chewing away…he realises that neither mother or daughter understood what he said) Mera matlab…bataye…koi kaam ho toh.

Kaushalya: (smiles) Nahin Chote Thakhur..

Saagar: (corrects her) Uh??

Kaushalya: Mera matlab bete.

Saagar: (walks past Vidya) Vaise maa…aap mujhe jamai babu bhi bula sakte hai.

Vidya carries on making the rotis and tries to ignore her annoying husband. Kaushalya just smiles.

Saagar peeps over Vidya's shoulders.

Saagar: Yeh koi naya tareeka hai roti banane ka?

Vidya: (frowns and turns round to face Saagar) Kya hua mere roti ko?

Saagar leans over her and picks up the very odd shaped roti- not round, not even square. He waves the roti in front of Vidya's face.

Kaushalya: Vidya tumhara dhyan kidhar hai?

Saagar: (sneakily) Haa Vidya…kaha dhyan hai tumhara?

Vidya sticks her tounge inside her right cheek, showing an irritated face. Kaushalya walks out leaving the two alone, Saagar gives a thankful smile and then turns back to Vidya.

Saagar: Teekh hai Vidya. Main tumhe seekha duga

Vidya: (puzzled) Huh?

Saagar rapidly takes her arms and turns her round in quick sucession, not allowing Vidya to react. He presses his chest against her back, Vidya can't move as his arms are trapping her body. Saagar slowly talks in to her right ear…

Saagar: Pehle…belan ko lelo.

He takes her right hand in his and they both pick up the belan. Vidya is totally numb, she avoids looking at his face but his presence his overwhelming. Then he takes her left hand towards the flour and makes her squeeze it, both hands are tightly wrapped around each other. Vidya makes very little effort to let go as Saagar moves closer to her right ear…

Saagar: (whispers) Aur phir…isse gol banate hai (he then lightly pecks her ear, Vidya closes her eyes)

Their hands are still entrapping the flour, refusing to let go. Vidya is in a trance, after a moment or so Saagar leaves her hand and Vidya suddenly opens her eyes. She turns to her right to face Saagar intimately, she's speechless.

Saagar: (speaks softly) Roti jesi bhi ho (takes her fringe and gently puts it behind her left ear) main kha looga.

He sweetly smiles, moves backwards and walks away leaving Vidya charmed. Saagar celebrates outside the kitchen when Kaushalya comes- he straightens himself up. After a second or so…both begin to laugh. Just then Vidya comes out….both become dead silent.
