Are we complicating things?

Why does it have to be so complicated the whole Taru-Khanji-Khemi-Santu-Hiten story. Its good for Ekta as it keeps us glued to our seats and anxious to watch the next episode to see how Khemi & Hiten are related but could it not be that we ourselves are causing our own anxiety?

We know that there is a history between Taru and Khanji and he had a child. But we are ASSUMING that the child is his and Taru and that it is either Hiten, Khemi or Santu.

Why can't the child just be Khanji? Maybe he was married or widowed but had a child.

If any of them, Hiten, Khemi or Santu, is just Khanji child and NOT Taru then we can have Hiten and Khemi marriage for there is not blood ties:

If Hiten is Khanji child then he is not related to DM that means Santu is not his mother so Khemi is not his masi

If Khemi is Khanji child then she is not related to Santu and can't be Hiten masi

and finally if Santu is Khanji child then she is not Khemi sister.

So there we have it 3 possibilities that allows the marriage of Hiten and Khemi-but whatever they show I like the fact that Hiten stood up against everyone for his love-why can't REAL men be like that!

I don't believe Kanji and Moti had a child together, I think Khemi or Santo is Kanji's daughter but not Moti's and that Moti for some reason sent Kanji to jail and now is afraid that her wrongdoing will come out and since DM likes justice so much, is probably afraid how DM would punish her when he finds out, thats why she is so desperate to find Kanji's whereabouts.

I think probablity is that Khemi is Kanji's child but if Santo turned out to be Kanji's daughter it might make things interesting since then DM will be Kanji's son-in-law - might give us some interesting confrontation scenes.

Well, we don't know Kanji's age, it hasn't been mentioned on the show. Some people think that Moti and Kanji had a child together and it was mentioned in one of the threads that Moti seem pretty young in the flashback scenes so it was possible that Kanji and Moti were of a similar age and since Moti is older to DM, it is quite possible that Kanji is older to DM. So, whether DM is older or younger to Kanji is debatable since there has been no mention of his age on the show.

Anyways, whoever Santo's father is or was, Kanji or Chagan or someone else, he would be very close in age to DM.

I think there was sumthin between Moti n Khanji otherwise why wud he have a pic of her dancing n smiling...The probability of Khemi being Kanji's daughter is the highest...

The important thing is- HITEN AND KHEMI CAN MARRY!

hey ...it was 14 years back when kanji left the child there ...so it means the baby should be only 14 or maybe 15 years right? Not santu, khemi or hiten.

Granted nobody knows Kanji's age. No one knows Moti's age either. For all we know only a year may seperate DM and Moti and Moti could have fallen for a younger man (if at all there was something going between them). Even if Kanji was really older than DM, he may not be by very much as you rightly pointed out. We have thankfully been spared of any father-in-law - son-in-law interaction between two men of equal age. So I'd rather Santo's father is the dead Chagan rather than Kanji. Kanji and DM can still clash as Sambandhis. I would look forward to the two hotties do that.

Amidst all these strange relationship of older 'sons' and 'daugher' not to forget a 'son-in-law' who also happened to be in love with the woman who subsequently became his mother-in-law, hope they spare us of showing us one more weird relationship even if it between same age middle aged men.

Yes, it is more probable that Khemi is Kanji's daughter. However if that is true and Hit-mi get hitched, then there won't be any confrontations between DM and Kanji. Because in the culture depicted in the show, it's always the girl's father who is deferential to the guy's father and so Kanji is not going to be confrontational with his daughter's in-laws. Even DM, with his pride and arrogance and all, was like that infront of his friends Meghna and Rasik during Kaddu's bidaii.

Come to think of it, that would apply even if Santo was Kanji's daughter. Kanji would not have clashed with his daughter's husband.

So, I guess all the confrontation between the two men would have to be before the secret is out.
