Quick! What has happened???

I've just started to watch this serial. Can someone briefly explain to me why on earth Santo married Malik? She always seems to be in a nervous disposition. 😕 What happened to Santo's parents? What do Santo's grandfather work as? Why isn't Malik's moti behen married? 😡 What's the relationship like between Malik's parents and Santo? How many children does Malik have? Why does Malik's son hate her (obvious answer really). And what's the deal with Jagmohan? He always seems to be up to something.

Ok , firstly - welcome to the forum !

In order to keep his best workman happy , with vested interests of getting his biggest consignment ready on time, Malik arranged for Madhav Solanki aka Santo's nanaji's eldest daughter's marriage to his office peon.. but since she was a manglik, the parents of the groom disapproved so the match was fixed with Santo instead...

On the eve of the marriage, Jagmohan the union worker and Virat influence the groom and he does not turn up at the wedding ..to save his honour and prevent the anger of all the workers, Malik aka DM has to marry Santo!

He has 5 kids .. and his eldest son hates him because he thinks he has never got a father, but a malik when he grew up ... and now even more so, as he thinks Santo will take his mother's place in his family.


Nanaji works as the best craftman in Maliks' Diamond Works ..

Okay, got most of it. But I don't understand why marrying Nanaji's daughter or anyone marrying any anybody would help him keep the workmen happy and finish the consignment...? I don't understand why Nanaji's daughters would agree to marry since they seemed so content as they were (I managed to watch the first and second episode on the internet sans subtitles). What's "manglik"? I think there's a shady business side of the story that's needs to be explained in order for me to understand.

Ok I forgot one point ..

DM's astrologer tells him that the he has a very bad phase going on his life and will face failure despite his best efforts towards success because of his planetary positions and asks him to re-marry .. on seeing Santo's kundali, he tells DM that she is the ideal person to bring him out of the misery and tells him to marry only for marriage sake and not have any relationship with her later.. DM is against it but later gives in as it solves both the purposes..Santo does not really have a choice ...

Oh. I can't believe he he fell for the astrology kundali nonsense. I don't understand why Malik married to Santo since he was totally against it despite what he was told by the astrologer. The whole marry-to-Santo (or her sister) thing was going on before Malik tlked to the astrologer. Why was Santo or her sister arranged to be married in the first place so quickly??? Who is Jagmohan and why is he trying to sabotage everything.

I get it (almost). But it is still ridiculous that he felt he had to do this just to please a village full of idiots. He's the boss anyway - he's paying them to work, so why on earth should he care about their feelings?? And why arrange marriage to SANTO??? How on earth did she get involved?? Why was the initial arrange marriage sabotaged??
