Most weddings are the same except for minor little difference...actually was at a function to celebrate various weddings of India and in most of them, the girl's face is hidden when she comes to mandap, in Gujju and Kannada they hold shawl in front of the groom whereas in other's the pallu is either pulled down or in case of Bengali the girl holds plant leafs in front of her face. In Gujju traditionally the manglasutra and sindoor is put on before the pheras too.

So true... Santo's bidaai, inspite of the crying and all being less, I found it more touching than so many of the bidaais I have seen on Indian television. She was just another village sacrifice, with this marriage, and the silence in her pain was truly touching. One of the most beautiful bidaai's I have seen👏

^^ Beautiful sig, Kruthi .. Sonam looks such a darling!

Anyways yes .. the minimal drama and the heartfelt emotions really set this bidai apart .. add to that a very MEAN dulhe-raja .. and you have a VERY different bidai!

^Awww, thanks... she is so sweet, isnt she 😛
Really enjoyed the entire scene in itself and the way it was carried out. Lovely in all aspects, be it the simplicity of a village shaadi, or the mean yet grand air surrounding Dharamraj. It was something different altogether, and I was impressed. The scene with Santo and the cow got me in tears as well. There is rly too much to say abt the bidaai👏

I agree that Santu's bidai was very simple and yet very touching.

I do not watch the serial Bidai but because I have been there has been so much hype about the Raginin-Ranveer shaadi that I watched it on youtube. Maybe it is just me and regular watchers of the serial may have felt differently but I found Ragini's bidai had too much melodrama. In her maika they are showing as if Ragini ki bidai nahi funeral ho gaya hai.- specially her mother.

truly sad . Love the concept of the serial. It is sad to see girl's being the sacrifice.

Indeed Kruthi and Hema,

Words dont suffice what I felt during the entire bidai .. I really thought I'd cry out when she was walking towards the car- especially with her body langauge and the way DM was sitting in the car, just wanting everything to get over as soon as possible!
