The Guruji must be getting good dakshina from DM. In one of the episodes last week DM tells him that whenever his family has a 'sankat' Guruji has shown a way out.
Also Guruji must be knowing very well that it will be impossible to find another groom for Santo from the village community since she has been jilted at the mandap. So, he must be thinking lage haath DM ka hi faida kara de.😕
And as regards Guruji's comment and views on the status of women or the wife - in this case Santo - such things happen more often than not in rural communities. And we also hear of stories where girls from poor families are married off to mentally challanged boys from rich families.

Yes when its not a marriage of convenience and for a lucky few...know of someone who has masters, married into a business family and is stuck in the kitchen all day...even at midnight when father-in-law brings guests...poor thing has to slave over the stove.

Why just the rural...even in the city, the educated lot do not treat woman with respect...what happens to a girl who does not bring enough dowry..or can't give birth to males...

Yes and the list can go on and on. So what the Guruji said about Santo does not surprise or shock me. It is a reality.
The fact that it makes me angry is another issue.

May be Guruji is DM well wisher and now his main aim is to get DM get married ...so he might came in DM route so that he can convience him to get married.
Once he was married i am sure DM will be stubburn but slowly he may accept santu.
But to tell u the truth....the way Guruji is very very much hapenning ...
see it is not the problem of rich or poor or upper class or poor class...this thinking is based on thinking of the people...we see so many real life instences where the rich girl who is married to middle class guy also have to face the wrath of ego problems from the husband of hers...
See every girl who born rich wont get married to richer families some times they have to get married to middle class guys also...
so my point is it is the htinking of the people ......

looking at pandit ji i don't trust him but then may be he is a good man who just want the best for DM at all cost, even at the cost of santo living a sad life forever with DM which i think she is not gonna be sad for too long.

Guruji's prediction of 'Padi rahegi kisi kone mein' will come back to haunt his holy self very soon, once DM accepts Santu as his wife and she becomes Malkin of the Mansion in the true sense!
Then the first thing, Santu might do is take Guruji off the astrological pay-roll...
Actually, Guruji's words may seem very chauvinistic, but this is the way things happen in small towns and villages especially, where there is illteracy and ignorance...for DM and Guruji, Santu is nothing more than a chit of a girl and the marriage nothing more than a move made for DM's business advancement, so not surprised at their thougth process!
But hope that DM does not keep that sort of view for a long time...
