His mindset is shared by a LOT of men in India and the worst part is that these men are young and belong to the new generation .. I dont know WHY people/men dont like coming to the conclusion that women can equal them in all departments and even earn for their families ..

I dont know why they are looked upon as HOMEMAKERS .. for me that is pure BS

Actually it is not about low claas or middle class or rich class.....this type of mentalities r everywhere....in the society even we see women also having this mentality towards the woman.

Dint we so amny marriages breaking just wife had made big and famous...we see a little percentage of men who dont mind even their wives make big in careers than them.

I once when i was going to india for a vacation met a girl on the flight and i was shocked to hear...she too earns the same as her husband but the thing is her pay check will be deposited on joint acount of her and her husband and he will give her pocket money......she dont have an idea where her money is invested and what that moron is doing...and she said it is his mother in law who is controlling all this from behind.

So i say both woman and men with about guriji like meantality r very very much in the modren and educated society .

@MD- Not only in India in a lot of other places we see that the wife earning is not accepted by the society.. It basically is because of the mindset of the males toward their wives.. DM that way is against the marriage because he just doesn't want to marry anyone else..The social/caste difference though it matters to him, is just an excuse to avoid it... I think what guruji said about 'kone mein pade rahegi',echoes the thoughts of many other people( I say people because sadly even women in the family like mothers in law and sisters in law, feel the same,not just the men of the family).. But it will not be the reson for DM's (bad)behaviour toward santo.. That will stem from the fact that she is his wife, but she is not his beloved subhadra.. And men like DM can only be won over with love..

@sukhi- Sukhi, that mentality develops from home.. And it is the people at home that with their behaviour with each other teach a person how to behave with a woman.. I mean ki you just cant hate a woman right from birth na, but if at home your mother/sister/aunt are looked on differently, it will teach you to look at all other women also in the same way.. On the other hand, if the mother were to be earning,the sister was to be given the same importance as a male child would be given, then that would teach the guy to respect another woman, to treat her as an equal instead of looking down on her...

It really starts from home .. if a daughter is born to double-income parents, the environment that she grows up is very supportive .. I guess not just double-income but double-educated ... in the sense that when the father and mother are both educated -it makes a BIG difference!

I just hope that creepy Guruji is not part of Viraat and Jagya's evil trio...

Because, atleast with those two, DM knows how to tackle them...but if Guruji turns out to be an enemy, DM might be in trouble!

A future prediction : Guruji ends up telling DM to leave Santu after his troubles are over, saying that his planets are alright now and he doesn't need the help of Ms. Jupiter any more...😕

Wanna see DM get over his portrait obessession and focus on real, living people by then!

Well Soapie by the time that happens I think Ms. jupiter would have won over DM...i mean DM and him would have fallen in love by then hehe, then we would see him confessing his love for her, when Guruji will be like why don't u just leave her now...HEHE

Guruji : (All holy and self-important) Dharamraj, tumhare grah nakshatra ab theek position par aa gaye hain...Satellite ke dwaara yeh confirm ho gaya hain, ki us Chokri ka Mars ab tumhare Venus ka rotation kar raha hai...aur ab uska Jupiter bhi tum par meherbaan hain..

DM : (Completely disinterested) Guruji, main pichle 20 saal se aapko yeh bata raha hoon, ki yeh astrological baatein meri samaj ke baahar hain...strarightforward man hoon, straighforward baatein hi karta hoon.😎

Guruji : (Chastisized suitably by DM who happens to be his only source of income) Mera matlab hain, ki ab tumhein Ms. Jupiter ki koi zaroorat nahin hain...ab saare 9 planets including the Solar System tumhare command mein hain! Ab tum us Chokri ko waapa uske beheno aur Cow ke paas bhej sakte ho.

DM :(Looking thoughtful and avoiding looking at his Kohinoor's portrait) Actually, maine faisla kiya hain ki ab woh Chokri isi Ghar mein rahegi...

Guruji : (Thunderstruck and speechless for sometime) Magar kyon Dharamraj? Kya us chokri ko apne ghar ka corner piece banate banate, tumne apne dil ke corner mein use jaga de di hain?

DM :(Passing a whithering look at Guruji and mentally deciding to take him off the pay roll) Nothing like that...magar woh bahut soft aur fluffy dhokla banati hain...aur aap jaante hain, ki Dharamraj Mahiyavanshi ke ek hi weakness che...DHOKLA!😳 (DM being the traditionalist that he is, will never actually admit that he loves Santo...so he makes an excuse!)
