Stars Favourite Holiday destination
Holiday means break from your routine life and television actors who are working for more then 12 hours also needs time-off from their busy schedule as they also deserve an leisure time with their family to their favourite holiday destination.
Ronit Roy

It would be the French Riviera, opulence of Monaco, the laziness and slow pace of Grasse. I love the wine, culture, sailing, driving through the countryside, the fashion and the casinos and I enjoy this with my family.

Does Santo have a new love interest?
Buzz up!

Bandini, Imagine TV's long running show is taking a six-month plunge into the future

A source from Indya says, "Santo (Asiya Kazi) will be seen in a new and simple look as she spends time in the remote Dungarpur village. She will eventually return to her husband's place, but before that the focus will be on Santo's life in Mahivanshi's house. New characters will be introduced and one of the new main characters will be someone called Bhuvan, who falls in love with Santo. Auditions are being held for Bhuvan's character."

After leaving Dharampur, Santo will lead the simple life at Dungarpur. She will meet new people, but she will eventually return to Dharampur. The focus will then shift back to Dharamraj (Ronit Roy), Dr. Megha and the illegitimate son Vishal. "Later," said the source. "It may be revealed that Vishal isn't Dharamraj's child and Megha is cheating on DM," informed the source.

When contacted, Azia Kazi, who plays Santo said that she didn't know about the leap

Will there be a time leap? Will there be chemistry between Bhuvan and Santo? If you want to know all these answers, watch
Bandini every Monday to Friday at 10.30 pm only on Imagine TV

Motiben of Bandini

She is Dharamraj Mayvansh's sister, who tortures Santo with her taunting remarks. Her main aim is to throw her out because people stopped paying attention to her after Santo came home.

Abigail Jain: Since I am on a strict diet and can't binge too much especially chocolates and ice-creams, I keep dreaming about them. In fact I daydream of them too. I see quite a fairytale kind of a dream, where I am surrounded by trees bearing toffees and chocolates and heaps of ice-creams. I love to dream it always.

An 18 year leap in Bandini
Buzz up!

Leap has become an inevitable part of Imagine's Bandini. As per actors on the show, Bandini takes a leap every six months and it was time it took a leap.

This time the leap will take the family 18 years ahead. We wonder who will agree to grey his/her hair.

Protagonist Santo (Aasiya Kazi) who is already 29 years old on the show says, "Yes, a leap of 18 years is taking place on the show but I am clueless about its time period. It will either be by the end of August or beginning o September. The creative team is already brainstorming over the track post leap."

So will she continue on the show and will grey her hair? "I would love to be a part of the show. I don't think I will grow old enough to colour my strand white"

We wonder if Dharamraj Mahiyavanshi will agree to olour his hair grey? We sent a text message to Ronit Roy who essays the character of Dharamraj but he didn't revert.

I don't need security: Ronit Roy

Known for providing security to the who's who of the film industry, apart from his acting prowess, Ronit Roy, himself likes to remain unguarded.

"I am a certified close protection officer so I know that my risk level is high but my threat level is not that high. I have a bodyguard but I don't really need that kind of security.

There are no red level duties here (for me). I am pretty equipped to take care of myself both in mind and body," Ronit told.

I can't be diplomatic: Ronit Roy

... Says Ronit Roy, claiming that he has no qualms about speaking his mind. In the city for Kitchen Champion, he says he is a 'champion' and not a 'baadshah' as it is a safer term.

Isn't this a safe term? At least, I'm not calling myself baadshah," he laughs. Why not? "I don't have a kingdom to rule, do I? I don't even know who the baadshah is on TV. That's why I don't mind being a champion. Isn't it harmless? After all, it refers to someone who excels at what he does. And that's been my aim all these years," he clarifies.

Ronit, who has never been a slacker, believes, there can be no substitute for hard work. And that not even a godfather can help one push his career up. "Success boils down to one's merit and consistent efforts. My only motive has been to give cent per cent to all the projects I undertake. Since I have always taken my job seriously, fame and success has come my way.

I realise how important my contribution has been to the industry when my co-actors follow my advice and show signs of growth. When new actors join the industry, those who have been for years encounter a strange feeling of seniority (not in a negative way). Obviously, not everybody, but those who paid heed to the suggestions I shared with them, have benefited a lot. But there were those too who made mistakes that I had committed. There can be nothing as gratifying as helping my co-actors do well in life."

Having inspired many through his willingness to face challenges, Ronit reveals his source of inspiration. "It has to be my relative Dr Mehta, the most genuine person I have come across in my life. Despite all the success and popularity that he has garnered, he is still so selfless, which I feel is difficult. In fact, I call myself a thief because I imbibe positive qualities from people I meet.

There is a lot that we can learn from those around us provided we shed our inhibitions and prejudices. I think it is illogical to be jealous of those who are far more successful and happier than us. If we begin to imbibe same positive qualities, things can get easier for us too," he says.

But is the TV industry seriously as pristine as it appears? "Not at all. Just like any other work area, people here too get involved in power play, bitching and backbiting. At least, I'm honest enough to admit that the TV industry is no exception. And I'm happy that I don't need to get involved in any of this." Why? "Because I don't need to prove any point."

Ronit's Udaan was recently screened at the Cannes Film Festival. As he says, he accepted the project because he was impressed with "the passion that the filmmakers had for Udaan" and not because "it would help me earn stardom. I don't compete with others. According to me, self-competition is the best way to excel and grow less envious of others. And that's precisely why I keep honing my skills and getting better. It doesn't matter if I'm the biggest. What is important is if I have improved from my previous self. I don't plan to be a part of a project because it will get me desired results. I can't do all that.
