Don't think Mangala will discuss such things - even mothers don't discuss in village society. One of the village ladies may discuss - Nimboli is too friendly with all of them - or was these scenes inserted to show how cute she is? Had she been confined to her home only - then we could say that she has no one to discuss. Creatives always show contradicting things.

I don't think Nimboli can be termed as frigid. Creatives just want to portray her as innocence. She is not immersed in studies - she is very well aware of the family dynamics - her own home - then her married friend, the ladies of the village she interact with routinely. Here I'm not even talking about her attraction towards opposite sex. It is about awareness about what marriage is all about (I so wish they do not make her wonder next how children are born - at least a few children may have born in the last few years). Girls in village society are generally more aware in these things because they have fewer opportunities such as studies, games etc. Their entertainment is more about interaction with fellow girls/ladies. Nimboli seems very artificial to me (not about actor - she is cute and is doing what she is asked to do).

Urmila to me seems to be more dumb than Nimboli. She is older - and it is funny how she knows about ritual not because she has seen it in her home/neighbourhood but because of TV 😆. Girls see these rituals whenever a new bride comes - but they don't announce it to her in-laws like Urmi was doing - her behaviour is like a foolish girl. And in her interaction with Nimboli (and once with Harki) is like a wicked girl.

Pooja is better than both Nimboli and Urmila. She behaves like her age in most things, knows about what is wrong and what is right. But her crush on Mannu and her behaviour like yesteryear's Hindi movie hero - who will follow the heroine till she says love you" was not good. Then this elopement - Mannu did not EB her - he asked her to come and when she raised her objections - he turned and was going alone. Similarly - she knows her own history - how she was once saved from bal-vivah, so her agreeing to elopement and bal-vivah seems very wrong. It is very different when a person do something without knowing it is wrong, or do something because he/she is of negative personality - but when a person who is not bad by nature and who is aware that something is wrong and still does it - he/she deserves more punishment. No sympathy should be shown towards Pooja for this elopement and marriage.

They both present contrasts.

Nimboli may belong to certain females who are somewhat frigid. And they are not dumb just because they are not interested. Many girls get so immersed in studies that they dont have time for these thoughts at all. And then careers. I see many women not married because they are interested in other things like education, careers, social activism, taking care of old parents etc.
So I dont find Nimboli as anything dumb or too childish.

As for Pooja, she is a contrast. She fell in love and forgot her other responsibilities.Like education, career and her own mother. But basically she is a nice girl and that quality will help her in getting back to her education and career. And Mannu also is a good guy at heart.

In future I would like to see a strong bond between Nimboli, mannu and Pooja.

They are the future. They may commit mistakes but they wont commit crimes.
