Personally I would applaud anandi for her bravery for all that she did till date. She took life in the best possible way since her childhood and that's the reason she's got all that she got and not because she had all that support(which didn't come to her in an easy way). She adjusted and accepted her life as a full fledged maid+beendini keeping aside her enthusiasm to study. Thanks to DS's conditioning. But that flopped and her husband left her for city bred. Then too she took it positively and worked for the betterment of society. she could have taunted DS, she could have used all of their pity and simply gotten married and left, or she could have become a doctor and took revenge on her ex...or simply she could have put him in jail on taking her FIL's suggestion. she did nothing in negative spiral. So whatever support she got didn't come easily to her. And then about the sarpanch part-- It was real hard work. The village people were like Ghazinis. They would forget things in a split second and fall upon her and corner her while she had to continuously prove herself each time. Finally she became a sarpanch, not because she was haveli's beendini,...but because she put up with the villagers and didn't give up.She was just so wonderful till she got married again. An inspiring character , I should say.she was wrong only wrt Nandini...and how she had lost her. She lost her due to the mistake she did in her own vulnerable situation(she lost her husband just before that). With the level of understanding, I think Mangala too is in a vulnerable situation. She has her own reasons to do what she's doing. She does have courage to save herself...and save a nandini and is protecting nandini in her own ways which I appreciate. Expecting too much from magala is not yet fair. The directors are showing one character in reality. And we whine about what more could have been done.Regarding Ganga - I don't think they changed this character drastically. she was right as long as she was a victim . She ran away which was probably the right thing to do too. But She always was selfish. Does not do what she preaches...and never minded breaking the family that gave her shelter for her own selfish reasons. Lots of situations that happened before leap sowed her nature. The only difference between now and then is -- Earlier the directors projected her in positive light(by making Sumitra feel sorry) , now they aren't doing that.
... kundan's friends are keeping a malicious eye on nimboli...sending school may put her in more of a danger???????/Originally posted by: The_Alchemist.
Well , now that we are talking all about what more mangala could have done to a girl who is actually nothing to her, let us talk all about what Anandi could have done about her own missing daughter.Anandi meets Nandini 3 times. The girl exactly is the age of her missing daughter. Anyone would feel curious. Why does Anandi not feel it? Each time she meets Nandini, something strange is revealed to her. And she does not suspect anything,Like some members mentioned earlier? She sees nandini on a tree at midnight...and simply leaves her at her home without meeting and warning the child's parents? Kamili mentions about Nandini's bal vivah...and still Anandi does not ask nandini those details? When she came to know that nandini is uneducated, how come she didn't ask her what else she does...?To akhiraj, feeding nandini is itself a burden. why would he let her go to school ? It makes no sense for mangala to ask him, knowing he wouldn't agree to it. And believe me, if mangala had asked, it wouldn't prove anything. All that we'll say is " She could have done more..." You know, there's no end to "more..."
