Beginning the video with humour, he said, “Hello and welcome to Splitsvilla 16. I am Karan Veer Mehra, your new host.” After a short pause, he added, “I am not. How many times will you ask me? You have filled the entire comment section.”

Karan further continued jokingly, “I agree that I am a little closer to reality shows. But boss, I stay away from the dangers of love. So for this one last time, I am not your host.” His statement made it clear that he has no connection to the upcoming season and that all the circulating reports were baseless.
