Screams of India India is filling up every city! The Indian women's cricket team has defeated South Africa in the finals of the ODI World Cup held at Navi Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium. They made 298 runs on board powered by a fantastic knock by Shafali Verma high up the batting order. It seems a little less given the pitch seemed more in favour of batting. However, Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma came to the party taking wickets at important intervals of the game. Laura Woolvardt made a hundred and things seemed to slip away from control when she was at the crease. Her departure almost sealed the victory for us. India has won comprehensively with a margin of 52 runs.
