Mangala is not criticised. Just I am pointing out some options which can be used by her. Which many used and use.

If a person appear for some exam, let say civil services, suppose he has been appearing for last 3-4 years and not getting succeeded and he is not even studying hard and just praying to god/devima that hey devima kab pass karoge mujhe?
what do you think about above example? will he ever gonna succeed? No a big no !
Mangala is exactly doing the same. She is not doing any effort to punish akhira, and praying to devima that papo ka ghada kab bharega? If she keeps doing that then one day her life will end up like this, waiting waiting waiting waiting for some miracle to happen but not doing anything.

Well Pooja and Mannu both eloped which is something very stupid. They will come to their senses

While Mannu's reasons were his anger against his parents for the way things have been handled in his life he is in avery disturbed state and he doesn't even know what he is doing.

Pooja was not angry with her mother and she knows that her mother wants her to study and make a life for herself which she agrees completely. Her problem is way different from Mannu's problem - Failing to strike a balance between emotions and sensibility.Looks like she went with him because she was worried about him.

But still she could have persuaded harder to dissuade Mannu from taking this step. That is one thing which she had done wrong.

She went with him because she was worried about him as well as she wanted to be with him.

Status Quo.

This is what Mangala's approach.

She is fine as long as she gets some food, some shelter and no beating for Nimboli.

This approach is good to some extent. But is it enough in the long run?

Parents who become too preachy are hated by kids. Do this, Dont do this.

I did not write about preaching. I said instilling values in children.

They do that by telling them motivating stories of leaders and other successful people, by encouraging them to be a good citizen of the world.

She probably did nothing other than working in SN under anandi... she told her how she was rescued by anandi when she was over 15. By that time, Pooja was already in love.

How did you know that she did not tell those stories? Children cant be programmed. They just have their own thinking.

Just as I hold Ganga responsible for Mannu's actions, I hold Sarita responsible for Pooja's behavior.
Both mothers are a failure.

Anandi requested Mangala to enrol nimboli in the school when they met in temple and Anandi explained her the value of education (so we can't assume that Mangala doesn't know the value of education because she is illiterate). Nimboli is putting her efforts to learn something from kundan, that means Nimboli doesn't put someone's advice in dustbin and Mangala doesn't give a damn to Anandi's advice, not for once she gave a thought for it, what was the harm if she could have asked akhi to put nimboli in school (could have used devi act, hahaha just kidding), we know akhi would have refused but at least then we could have seen that Mangala also put her efforts but no she won't do anything and will never pay a heed to others advice also.

I think Mangala does not trust outsiders. Otherwise she could have used that card.

She saw anandi twice. Once dropping her home in the middle of night. If anandi is a procurer, why will she drop Nimboli safely and that too in the middle of night?

That Mela provided an opportunity to Mangala to get anandi's help. That could have saved even Gopal's life. But she did nothing except smiling throughout.
