Shashank Vyas aka Jagya of Colors' long running show "Balika Vadhu" has decided to leave the show.

According to reports, after being associated with the show for more than five years, Shashank feels that there's nothing much for him to portray on-screen and hence has decided to walk out of the show. Apparently, the actor wishes to take up some challenging roles this time.

"Shashank who has been associated with the show from past 5 years had to call off his journey because he thinks he has given everything he could to the show. He put in his papers one month back and hence has another two months remaining on the show," a source told India-forum.

Further, the show makers are not looking for a replacement for Jagya's character and hence, they have decided to showcase his character flying off to another country for good.

Meanwhile, in the upcoming episodes, makers have some shocking yet interesting twist for its viewers.

Mannu (Harsh Mehta), whose growing proximity to Pooja has often been opposed to by Jagdish and his family, will decide to get rid of the fuss and elope with Pooja. The duo will skip school and without informing their elders, head for an unknown destination.

The 15-year-olds will later get married in a temple, share some romantic moments and end up consummating their marriage.

Shashank Vyas, who became popular as Jagya in Colors'Balika Vadhu, has quit the show after being associated with it for more than five years.

The actor felt that his character has nothing new to offer and there is nothing left to explore. Shashank has reportedly put in his papers and is currently serving his three-month notice period.

"Shashank has expressed a desire to try something new as he feels that he has slipped into a comfort zone playing the same part for so long. He has explored all shades - positive and negative - as Jagya and now, wants to take up something more challenging," Times Of India quoted its source.

The makers of the show are not looking for a replacement for Jagya's character and have decided to show Jagya leaving India for good.

After Pratyusha Banerjee (Anandi), Sidharth Shukla (Shiv) and Sargun Mehta (Ganga), this is the fourth member from the lead cast to leave the show.

Shashank Vyas Aka Jagya Is Quitting Balika Vadhu

One of the most popular serials of Indian television Balika Vadhu has been in news lately as many of its leading actors have left the show and have been replaced. Colors TV's Balika Vadhu has high TRPs and has still managed to keep the audience hooked, but the serial is lately rumored to have problems.

The key character of the serial Jagya (Jagdish) played by Shashank Vyas is apparently leaving the show. Yes! If reports are to be believed then Shashank has put down his papers and is on a three month notice period.

The show which is still garnering loads of attention amongst it's dedicated viewers has changed its track recently. The show is now focusing on the new lot of Kundan and his second marriage and Anandi's estranged child Nimboli who is also the first child bride of Kundan. Further the series has undergone a transformation in Jagya's track as well, playing the role of a father to a teenaged boy; Jagya's track lately has not been much explored.

It is speculated that reason behind Shashank leaving the show is that his character has no more growth and further the actor feels that he is too much in his comfort zone by playing the same role from such a long time.

With rumors of Shashank leaving the show, the makers of the show will soon have to change Jagya's track. Now whether these speculations are true or no only time will tell.

so we all predicted true what he hinted a month back He had put his papers back then and what his issue is His tracks are not at all explored much True He was all excited to play the role of even a father of a teenage son at this young age so track should have been on Jagya and his children This should be focus of BH story but cvs are not showing that at all It is his ex wife desperate for him trying to be the most important person for him and his wife Ganga having problems with that and making him a punch bag for no reason Jagya does not have even proper screen space Last month he remained absent for 4 days in row then one small scene then absent so he thought of doing something else

but what i failed to understand how makers are going to make Jagya go to foreign in these circumstances ?

Mannu will get married and consummate too So many issues leaving in between how Jagya will move to US ?

Please cvs at least give a logical exit to your male lead , founding character whose life journey you chronicled for 7 years and an actor who gave his career's 5 years to you

Jagya is leaving India for Good This goes over my head ?so confused Guess will wait for what drama cvs unfolds and there is no news on Aasiya is she quitting too ?

All the best to Shashank Vyas He has done a wonderful job as Jagya Loved him as Jagya After his exit no purpose for watching BV for me There is nothing to look forward to Only was watching show for Jagya and his story
