Actor Shashank Vyas, who became a household name as Jagya in 'Balika Vadhu', has ended his five-year-long journey. He has quit the show and is currently serving a three-month notice period. Apparently, the actor felt stagnated. He was of the opinion that he had given it all to the character and there was nothing left to explore. This is the third big exit from the show, after Pratyusha Banerjee (the original Anandi) and Sidharth Shukla (Shiv). A source associated with the show reveals, "Shashank has expressed a desire to try something new as he feels that he has slipped into a comfort zone playing the same part for so long. He has explored all shades " positive and negative " as Jagya and now, wants to take up something more challenging." Despite repeated attempts, we couldn't reach Shashank for comment. Producer Sunjay Waddhwa also did not respond to our text message.

TV actor Shashank Vyas, who has been playing Jagya/Jagdish in Colors TV's long running show 'Balika Vadhu' for long, has called it quits.

Shashank's character will now be shown leaving for a foreign country.

TV actor Shashank Vyas, who has been playing Jagya/Jagadish in Colors TV's longest running show Balika Vadhu', has called it quits.

According to reports, Shashank has decided to quit the show and is currently serving his notice period for the remaining two months.

Reportedly, Shashank's character will now be shown leaving for a foreign country.

Shashank adds to the list of the actors who have quit the show along the course of its run - Neha Marda, Pratyusha Banerjee, Sriti Jha, Smita Bansal, Anup Soni, Satyajit Sharma, Sidharth Shukla and Sargun Mehta.

Shashank Vyas aka Jagya quits Balika Vadhu'

Mumbai: Shashank Vyas aka Jagya of popular TV show Balika Vadhu' has reportedly quit the show. The actor, who had been associated with the show for over 5 years, is currently serving a three-month notice period.

Vyas, who became a household name as Jagya apparently, wants to try something new and explore his acting skills.

The character that he has been essaying has nothing new to offer and hence the decision.

A number of actors who have played pivotal roles - Anoop Soni, Smita Bansal, Pratyusha Bannerjee, Sriti Jha, Siddharth Shukla and Sargun Mehta exited from the show earlier
