I guess it depends on compensation - He can well earn his college fees through this at a young age.
In addition, he gets a lot of exposure which may earn him a role in the movies etc. I cant say whether he is a good actor or not but he is very good at following instructions and directions.
Playing a child with cancer seems to be a small price to pay.
I wouldn't say you are over-reacting kase, but maybe you are not invested in practical/monetary concerns.
In addition, this story-line has cropped up just last week, and in good faith, Manu's mother can't suddenly yank him out of the show - it would be unprofessional. Maybe she wouldn't have given him explicitly to play a cancer kid right from the get-go, but now he is already in the middle of playing the role, so yanking him out might have implications for contract etc.
Personally I don't think I would mind it in his mother's place provided they did not make him cry in the name of showing either the disease or the treatment. I wouldn't want them to pinch the child or beat him or something to show him to be sad or crying or in pain. So far, they haven't done anything like that, and it is just Jagya and Ganga feeling the pain. Manu is still shown laughing and carefree.
