Part07-A long waited welcome

Anandi's pregnancy was coming to an end,as she was nine moths pregnant.Only a couple more days and she and Shiv will be holding their baby in their arms.Shiv was with her all the time,watching out for her.One day they were sitting in the living room drinking tea(actually Anandi was drinking milk),when suddenly Anandi felt pain in her stomach.

Anandi:Ouch!Ouuuch!Shiiiv!I think the baby is coming!

Shiv:Anandi just breathe!Calm down!Breathe!

He took her up in his arms and took her to the hospital.When they arrived at the hospital the nurse quickly called the doctor and they took Anandi to a special room for her labour.Shiv called Choti ma and she,Mahi,Dadu and Alok came running to the hospital.Shiv was really nervous he was just walking up and down,up and down...

Choti ma:Shiv relax,everything will be fine,just calm down.

Just then the doctor came there.

Doctor:Congratulations Mr Shekhar.You've become a father of a beautiful baby girl.

Shiv was so happy that he hugged everyone.

Shiv:And doctor,how is Anandi?

Doctor:She is fine.She is in her room resting.

Shiv:Can I see her?

Doctor:Sure.

Shiv entered the room where Anandi was sleeping.He sat next to her.The nurse came in holding the baby.

Nurse:Mr Shekhar meet your daughter.

Shiv looked at the baby.She was beautiful,just like Anandi.

The nurse gave the baby to Shiv and left.

Shiv:Hi little baby...I am your daddy...And this is your mommy(he said showing Anandi to the baby)

He didn't even notice that Anandi woke up,and was looking at them with a loving gaze.

Anandi:Can I hold her a little?

Shiv was surprised 'cause he didn't see her wake up.

Shiv:Of course you can.Come on baby let's go to your mommy.

He gave her to Anandi.When Anandi took her in her arms tears of joy started pouring down her face.

Shiv:She's such an angel,just like mother.

Anandi:She is,isn't she?

There was a knock on the door.It was Mahi.

Mahi:Can we come in?

Shiv:Absolutely.

Everybody came in.

Anandi:Everyone meet our little angel.

In India parents are not allowed to know the gender of their yet-to-be-born baby as it is illegal in our law so AnSh really doesn't have any choice of knowing or not knowing baby's gender

Sorry about that,I don't know a lot about Indian law and culture but I do my best.Next time I'll check😊

Part08-The precious gift

One week has passed and Anandi and the baby were released from the hospital.Shiv picked them up and took them home.At home,everything was ready for the welcoming of new baby and it's mother.When they finally arrived,Anandi saw the beautiful decorations outside the house.They entered the house and she was dumbstruck with how the house looked inside.There were welcome signs everywhere,her favorite flowers all around.The whole family was there(except you know who).She was so happy she had such a loving family.

Everyone:Welcome home!!!

Anandi:Thank you all so much for this beautiful welcome.These decorations are just breathtaking.I just want to thank you all for being here.

Mahi:Anandi bhabi there is no need for a thank.We're glad we could be here.And for the decorations you don't need to thank us.We didn't do anything.Shiv bhaiya did.He stayed up all night getting things ready for your welcome.

Shiv:Mahi don't exaggerate.

Anandi just turned to him and said Thank you.

They took the baby to the nursery and placed her in her crib.

Mahi:Come on now let's celebrate!
Anandi:I'm really sorry Mahi bhaiya but I'm really tired,we will celebrate next time.

Mahi:Ok bhabi,but next there's gonna be double as much celebrating then it would have been now.

Shiv:Ok Mahi,you will get your celebration.

Choti ma:I guess it's time to go now.We should leave.

Anandi:No,Choti ma stay for a while.

Alok:No beta,we have to go.We'll stay another time.

Everyone bid there goodbyes and left.

IN THE MEANTIME

Ira was restless.She could not believe she was not invited to see her own granddaughter.She was really angry.

Ira:How can they do this to me.She's my granddaughter and I have a right to see her whenever I want.

Sanchi:Mom calm down,ok?I wasn't invited ether but I don't care.Why would you want to see to daughter of that woman?

Ira:Sanchi I have to see my granddaughter,but Shiv and that Anandi won't let me near her!

Sanchi:Well they will have to let you see her sometime.

Ira:Oh I will see her,even though they don't want me to.

BACK TO ANANDI AND SHIV

Anandi and Shiv have decided to have the baby's naming ceremony three days later.Everybody couldn't wait to see what name will the baby get and they decided to let Anandi name the baby.Anandi was thinking hard what name will she give her,then she finally came up with something.The ceremony was held and when the pandit asked

Pandit:What name have you decided to give

Anandi:I've decided that it would be Amoli(which means precious).Because she's the most precious gift anyone could have given to me.

Note

You maybe noticed that I haven't written anything about the Singhs.I just thought that they were unneeded for the story.

Part09-An unexpected visitor

After the entire celebration when everybody left Anandi and Shiv were left alone with their baby.Anandi took her to her room and put her to sleep.She was just watching her like that when Shiv came in.He held her from the back.

Shiv:I love the name that you picked up.

Anandi:You think so?Because I thought a lot to pick up a good name,and Amoli seemed like the best choice.

Shiv:I knew you were gonna pick up a good name.You know,she looks just like you.

Anandi:No,she looks like you.

Shiv:No,she looks like you.

Anandi:Let's just make a compromise.She looks like both of us.

Shiv:You seem quite tired.Wanna go to bed?

Anandi:That's because I am tired.This is the first night in days that she has decided to sleep.

Shiv:She doesn't like sleeping very much.

Anandi:Just like her daddy.

Shiv:How can I sleep when there's such an angel lating next to me.

Anandi:Shiiiv!

Shiv:Shhh!You'll wake up Amoli.Now come on let's go.

They went to their room,gave each other a good night kiss and went to sleep.The next morning Anandi was feeding the baby when she heard a knock on the door.

Anandi:Shiiiv!Could you please answer the door?!

Shiv:Yeah I'll get it!

When he aswered the door he was stunned by the surprise visitor.

Shiv:Ashima?!Is that you?

Ashi:Yes it's me.I came as soon as I heard you had a baby.How come you didn't call me to inform me?Now can I come in please?

Shiv:Of course you can!Please come in!Sit!I'm so sorry I didn't call you I guess I just forgot.I'm really sorry.

Ashi:Never mind that.Now,where is Anandi?

Shiv:Oh she's just feeding the baby.I'll go call her.

Shiv went to the room and saw Anandi putting the baby in the crib.

Shiv:Anandi you'll never believe who came to visit!

Anandi:Who?

Shiv:Ashima!

Anandi:Ashima?Where is she?

Shiv:She's in the living room.

Anandi ran to the living room and saw Ashi.

Anandi:Ashima!

They hugged each other.

Anandi:How our you?I haven't seen you for so long?

Ashi:I'm fine,thanks.I was just really busy.Just tell me one thing.How come you live here and not with everyone else.When I got there your Choti ma told me you moved here.Why?

Anandi just looked at Shiv nervously.

Shiv:Ashima it's a long story.

Ashi:I have time.

Shiv told her the entire story,with Ira and Sanchi and the ,,accident".Ashima was shocked.

Ashima:Oh my God,how could they do that?!

Shiv:Ask them.But we don't even wanna think about them.Now please excuse me I have to go to work.Bye.

A&A:Bye

Ashi:Anandi,where's baby?

Anandi:Oh Amoli's asleep.

Ashi:Can I see her?
Anandi:Sure.

Anandi took Ashi to see her in the nursery.When Ashi saw the baby she could see a small combination of Anandi and Shiv.

Ashi:Wow!She's beautiful!(she said trying not to wake her up)

Anandi:I know.She's just an angel.

Ashi:I agree.

Ashima stayed with them for two weeks and then left for London.Anandi and Shiv were really surprised by her visit and told her to visit any time she wants.
