Part 03-The surprise

It's been a week since Anandi was admitted to the hospital.Shiv was visiting her every day,and if he couldn't he would ask Chotis ma or Mahi to make her company.Today ,Anandi was going out of the hospital. Shiv still hasn't told her what her surprise was,and she was eager to find out.Because her knee and hip injury she couldn't walk so she had to use a wheelchair until she completely recovers. She was six weeks pregnant. Shiv just signed the paperwork so they go. She couldn't wait to go home but was a little scared what will happen and how will Ma and Sanchi react to her being in the house.They just exited from the hospital. Shiv put her in the car and they were of.

Anandi:Shiv?

Shiv:Yes Anandi?

Anandi :When are you going to tell me what is your surprise?

Shiv:Oh that, just about now.

The car stopped and Anandi was confused.They were outside some house. Anandi:Where are we Shiv?

Shiv:We are home.

Anandi :Home? What do you mean ?

Shiv:Surprise Anandi, welcome home.

Anandi couldn't believe. She was standingb outside a beautiful house. It had a big backyard with a beautiful garden. Just then she saw a couple of stairs outside the front door.

Anandi:Shiv this is a beautiful surprise but how am I supposed to climb the stairs if I can't walk.

Shiv:Anandi what am I here for.

Sohee got out the car opened the door on Anandi's side and took her in his arms. He carried her up the stairs and when he opened the door Anandi was dumbstruck. The inside of the house was beautifully decorated. It had amazing and modern furniture. It was perfect. He put her down on a sofa.

Anandi :Shiv this is... this is... amazing.

Shiv:You didn't even see all of it.

Anandi :I know but I don't need to I just know that this will be the perfect place for us and our baby.

Shiv :Oh and I almost forgot. Shivani ji!

Shivani:Yes sir.

Shiv:Anandi this is Shivani ji. She'll be helping you,clean,cook until you get better and our baby is born.

Shivani:Namaste madam. It's nice to finally meet you. Sir talks about you all the time.

Anandi :Namaste. It's nice to meet you too.

Shivani:Now please excuse me I have work to do.

Shiv :So do you want to see our bedroom?

Anandi :Yes, I'm getting kinda tired.

Shiv took her up in his hands and up the stairs to their bedroom which was the most beautiful room in the house. He placed her on the bed. Anandi was admiring the room without saying a word.

Shiv:Do you like it?

Anandi :Like it? No, I love it. But not as much as I love you.

Shiv:I love you too.

He hugged her carefully looking after her broken arm. She knew that moment was a new start for them and their baby.

Part 04-The New Anandi

It's been a couple of months since Anandi and Shiv moved into their new house. Anandi was feeling much better.She didn't need the wheelchair anymore.She slowly adjusted to her new home.She was four months pregnant and her stomach started to show. By the doctor's orders she needed to rest and do work only if she had to.Their life normal.Until one day Anandi was sitting in the living room when she heard a knock on the door.She quickly got up to answer the door.When she opened it she was stunned.It was Ira.

Anandi:Oh it's you.How may I help you?

Ira:I want to talk to you.Can I come in?

Anandi:I guess.

Ira entered the house looking around.She was impressed by how the house looked.Ira and Sanchi were the only ones the haven't come to visit.They weren't wanted here.

Anandi:What do you want to talk about?

Ira:I wanted to talk about Shiv.

Anandi:Shiv?

Ira:Yes,I want to ask why won't he talk to me, why did you move here?

Anandi:I think you already have the answers to that.

Ira:I am his mother, I did what I thought was best for him.

Anandi:I don't believe you should be telling me this.

Ira:He can't just erase me from his life! He can't forbid me to see my grandchild.

Anandi:Maybe he can't but I can.

Ira was dumbstruck.
Ira:What did you just say?

Anandi:I said that I won't let you near my child.I almost lost it 'cause of you and Sanchi and I won't let you make that happen.

Ira:How dare you say that to me!I'm it's grandmother!Shiv is my son,he can't stay mad at me forever.I'm gonna convince him to forgive and when I do I will make sure that you will be out of his life and that my grandchild is with me not you!

Anandi:You can try and do anything you want to me!But as long as I'm alive I won't let you near my baby!

Shiv who has just came from work was standing at the door,he heard everything.He was angry at his mother for saying all does things,and proud of his wife for not letting herself be pushed around.He looked at Anandi who was breathing heavily and was about to faint.

Shiv:Anandi!He yelled as he ran to catch her.He caught her just in time.He placed her on the sofa.

Shiv:What are you doing here?!I told you and you daughter never to come here!

Ira:I came to...

Shiv:What?Stress her out completely?'Cause you managed to do so!

Ira:I was just...

Shiv:Going.Now goodbye.

Ira went out the door.

She will pay for those words(she thought)

After five minutes Anandi woke up.She was looking around for Ira

Shiv:Anandi relax,she left.I can't say how proud I am of you.You stood up for yourself.

Anandi:Thank you.I just had enough of suffering her insults.

Shiv:I pretty much like the new Anandi.
Anandi:I know.I like her to.

Shiv:So new Anandi what's for dinner?I'm starving.

Anandi:Me too.I actually don't know. Shivani won't let me do anything.She says she will cook and I will rest.I think she wanted to surprise us.

Shiv:Well,let's go see what the surprise is.Shall we?

Anandi:We shall.

Part 05-You just have to believe

After that whole Ira incident Anandi and Shiv continued their lives not thinking about anything that could upset them. Today Anandi had an appointment with the doctor and Shiv was taking her. She was a bit nervous. It wasn't the first time she would go to get checked up, but it didn't matter.She was deciding what to wear. She chose a beautiful green sari of which Shiv said went with her eyes. Even though she was looking more beautiful than ever. She didn't even notice Shiv looking at her as he stood at the door. He was admiring her beauty. She looked at the mirror and saw him. She turned red from shyness. He came closer to her and hugged her from the back.

Shiv:How come you become more beautiful as time passes? That glow on your face is just incredible.

Anandi, :Oh you just keep flattering me too much. Let's go. Were gonna be late.

Shiv :Anandi, do you think I will be a good dad? Sometimes I feel like I'm not going to be good at the whole parent thing.

Anandi :Shiv, don't be silly. I'm absolutely sure that you will be the best dad in the world. You just have to believe in it. Now come on let's go.

Shiv loved her mood swings. One minute she's cute the other she's annoyed. They got into the car and were on their way to the doctors. As they entered the hospital Anandi started to get nervous.

Anandi :Shiv can we come some other day, please? I'm starting to feel nauseous.

Since the big ,,accident " Anandi was scared to go inside of a hospital. It reminded her of it.

Shiv:Anandi don't worry everything will be fine. They went inside of the check up room. The doctor was waiting for them.

Doctor:Hello misses Shekhar how are you feeling today?

Anandi:I'm feeling fine, thank you.

The doctor did her check up and had a pleased look on your face.

Doctor:You seem to be perfectly healthy. Now let's see your baby.

Anandi lied on the bed. The doctor put the put the special gell on her stomach and Anandi giggled as she felt like she felt tickled.

Doctor :Mister and Misses Shekhar, this is your baby.

Anandi took Shiv's hand and looked at the screen. On it someone else could see just a tiny blob, but they, they see so much more. They were both proud at themselves for creating something that beautiful. Their happiness could not have been expressed with words. At that moment they were not just Shiv and Anandi anymore. They were parents of a baby that will soon come into their lives.

Part06-A new life

Time was passing by and Anandi's pregnancy was going on.She was now 7 moths pregnant. Shiv and Anandi have already decorated a nursery for a baby.Because they didn't know the gender of the baby,they decided to paint the nursery yellow. Anandi loved to shop for baby stuff.Baby clothes,baby toys...Sometimes Choti ma would join her in the shopping.Today Anandi and Choti ma have bought a lot of new toys for the baby.They're sitting in the living room with Shiv discussing baby stuff.Suddenly a thought fell on Choti ma's mind.

Choti ma:You know what Anandi, since you're seven months pregnant i think it's time for your godhbharai.

Anandi:Oh right I completely forgot about that.

Choti ma:You can have it at Kesar Bagh.

Anandi was starting to get sick at the thought of Kesar Bagh and the people who lived there.She gave a nervous glance at Shiv.Then she ran to the washroom.

Shiv:Choti ma I'm sorry but I won't Anandi near that house.You know the reason to that and I hope you can understand.

Choti ma:I understand Shiv. For a moment there I just forgot about the whole situation.I'm sorry.

Shiv:We can still have it here.Just without Ma and Sanchi.

Choti ma:Shiv they are your mother and sister.Can't you at least think about forgiving them.

Shiv:No.Not after Ma's little visit a couple of months ago.

Choti ma:I don't understand. Didi came here?

Shiv:Yes she came when I was at work.She insulted Anandi in every possible way,telling her she will take her baby away from her.Stressed her out completely.

Choti:Oh my god,I had no idea about that.I'm so sorry.

Shiv:You don't need to apologize for her words.

Just then Anandi came back.

Anandi:What were you talking about?

Shiv:Oh nothing.Just about the baby.

There was a sound of a car engine.

Choti ma:It must be Mahi.

Just as she said those words Mahi entered the house.

Mahi:Hello,bhaiya,bhabi,how is my little nephew doing.

Anandi:Hello Mahi bhaiya,the baby is fine,but,how do you know it's are boy?

Mahi:I just know.I know it's gonna be a boy that's just like my Shiv bhaiya.

Shiv:Oh Mahi you and your wishes.You just want it to be a boy 'cause you want a cricket trainee.

Mahi:No!
Shiv gave him a look.

Mahi:Maybe...

Anandi started to laugh at this brother discussion.

Choti ma:Now you two stop it.Come on Mahi let's go.

They bid there goodbyes to Anandi and Shiv and leave.

Anandi hasn't stopped laughing .

Shiv:What is so funny?

Anandi:Nothing.I'm just happy to bring a new life to this family.

Two weeks later,Anandi's godhbharai was held up in their house.All the ceremonies were finished,and it was night time.Anandi was getting ready for bed.Suddenly two hands held her from the back.

Shiv:You looked beautiful today.

Anandi:How do you know?You weren't even here.

Shiv:That's what you think...

Anandi:Shiv!

Shiv:What?You know I hate being away from you.

Anandi:I do.But,where were you?I didn't see you.

Shiv:Nobody saw me.

Anandi:You know,I kinda felt you were there.Now come on,let's go to bed I'm tired.

They went to bed and in slept each others that whole night.

Nice update with just one slight mistake 😊

In India parents are not allowed to know the gender of their yet-to-be-born baby as it is illegal in our law so AnSh really doesn't have any choice of knowing or not knowing baby's gender
