Basant's argument was foolish. Bhairon would have decried it if it happened in his presence. DS was also bewildered at what he did. He was asked to negotiate, instead he ended up putting fuel in fire. Such matters need tact - and tact does not mean to be sweet or bear everything, it means you be firm, clever yet not go out barking or losing control of the situation.

Well these are characters and they have distinct characteristics...at least some do...the others are like chameleons😉 thanks to our creatives.
Basant was always hotheaded and just as many finds Ira's shouting justified due to what has happened to Saanchi...I think we can forgive Basant for losing his temper.
Sweet old rosey posey Daddu was not particularly nice himself...and he should be the first to practice diplomacy seeing that he is an ex Army man. 😊
I agree Bhairon is more calm...however, I am hoping he has a calm but steely temperament...it will be needed as his wife has only a one line chant...😡

@Picasso9-

Rightly said...this are the so called educated, classy, elite family from Udaipur...Yesterday Basant was right on when he said that for a bunch of educated folks, the Shekars are stooping to levels he'd have never expected them to.

Jagya did break an engagement a few days before the shaadi was supposed to happen. This is something to regret because it's sudden and comes as a shock to both parties...but to call him a womanizer, one needs more proof...did he lead Sanchi on? Did he try to seduce Sanchi and use her? Did he use her money or her family for anything? He rarely called her up...he never touched her. If he had so little respect for women, why would he save them in situations where their honor is at stake along with their whole lives? It's all illogical...over dramatic, overstretched drama...Shekars are really reaching her by telling the Singhs that we have solid reasons to believe that your son uses women and then tosses them away...Truth is, he never mistreated Sanchi...he was never rude with her or cursed her. I've seen men walking around calling women the B word, abusing them, looking at them in lust-filled ways, none of that happened here.

They basically just want to humiliate him and take all eyes off Sanchi even though she attempted suicide which demonstrates what a weak minded girl she is, it shows her insecurities...it reveals that she is a danger to herself...even when things were going her own way, she behaved in strange ways in front of the Shekars revealing her obsessive nature.

Now they'll bring out his past. He'll face it and go forward because he has that resilience and capacity but here the Shekars don't have the patience even to take Sanchi to a psychologist, what a pathetic "educated" family.

They thought he had changed. At least shiv did. He said he trusted Jagdish. He also gave him an honourable out of the situation even BEFORE the engagement by asking if he is happy with rishta or not. I do believe that if Jagdish had said no, shiv would have taken over the situation from there in itself.

@why did you approach-

because they are terrified of their daughter's wrath. It's like the wrath of God for them...they know she'll damn them and send them straight to hell. She knows how to set every single one of them straight, that tubby army man Daddu is most terrified of her himself. He played some sort of prank on her that if you don't learn how to be a good cook , your rishta with Jagdish will fall through and this girl freaked out. They must bend over backwards and plz their daughter. She wants the moon...they'll bring her the moon.

Shekars secretly are aware that their bachi is a nutcase, that;s why they're afraid of taking her to a psychologist because it'll open up a can of worms and perhaps expose their faulty parenting skills at the same time.

🤣 Why don't you tell that to Ira. She's a character in the show. We are mere spectators going on what is shown. 😃

@bold, the educated family and uneducated family- both are behaving same way. Educated family suddenly remembered past marriages of the person with whom they were going to marry their daughter and uneducated family (just to show contrast - there are educated persons in Singh family) thinking what is the big deal - it has happened in past - neither Anandi nor Gauri tried to suicide - so it is the weakness of Sanchi - Jagya as usual will spend his time out (of badi haveli) and when the family thinks the punishment is over, he will be back. Why Shakhers are taking the matters to court? What is the big deal if Jagya broke engagement and married another woman in two days? It is Sanchi's weak personality (they do not know it is her fake personality) that she tried to take her own life.

oh a clever lawyer will find full logic there . You can call me Kools .

SPuja- that's the point I made...it's Sanchi's weakness...her insecurity...her attempt to get attention...the Shekars sympathize with her but the minute Ira went to meet her daughter in the hospital, she ask Ira where's Jagdish? That should be alarming. She attempted suicide (a fake attempt too) to make Jagya feel guilty. This is how desperate she is for a man. She needs a man to make her happy...she needs that victory under her belt...that she won over her Bhabhi's ex, so she can put Jagya in her pocket and show him off to the world like a shiny new toy...but she lost, her ego which her family has padded since the day she was born, was hurt. She was shown the mirror...you're not the flippin' queen you think you are just because you're a city girl with an MBA...a dehatan who's a nurse and has a child too, is far more beautiful and attractive to me...Sanchi was gutted ...the woman she tried to push away from BH even before Jagya said yes for the rishta , is now his wife.

Yes. The mighty collector is doing a BAIT AND SWITCH to satisfy HIS craving for revenge. The bait is his sisters suicide which the state would be compelled to prosecute and then they will switch it to Jagya's past 'crimes' to detract from the main issue and have his sister emerge sati savitri. No way in hell is his sister doodh ki dullhi but that's how he wants to paint her. So lets malign the other party to help her save face. It reeks of selfishness, falsehood, fraud, biasness, injustice. Spin it any way but it reeks of injustice. I am surprised that the educated Shivraj who is supposedly so concerned for his sister has not yet initiated psychiatric treatment. This itself displays that the revenge is more for himself not his sister because he is so focused on the revenge and can't see that his sister needs treatment nor can he see how his biasness is hurting his wife.
