Ganga when introduced was bold full of fire fighting against abuse. I liked her trying to get an new identity and j helping her. But she has become so weak and subdued now. In Haveli she is being treated as an srita' and serving the singhs. Sumi is treating her like a doormat. And why is this cry babby is it whoever enters haveli becomes a crybabby. A woman just being supported does not have to fall in love just like that. I would have preferred that Ganga being independent and jagya persuing her because he loves him. I do not understand BV wants to show woman are stupid to fall like a guy as J.

Ganga falling for J is still understandable (he saved her and is supporting her), although is not possible in reality given the fact that she has still not got divorce and given her conservative background, her falling for J is not possible. But most ridiculous thing is Sanchi falling for J.
BV creatives cannot resist the temptation to show one bad person to highlight other good person. We did not need a bad G to know how good was A. And we don't need a bad Sanchi to know how good Ganga is. Personally, I would have preferred J falling for Ganga or may be their mutual love. But most probably it will be some forced marriage.

And in conservative societies of India, family always means some relationship. If Jagya-Ganga jodi will not happen, then Ganga living with Singhs is OK. But this living-in like a bahu (she is doing all the work of Anandi and also being compared to Anandi) before marriage is strange. As regards Anandi and Singhs, I have always maintained in my numerous posts that Singhs /badi haveli cannot be her mayka (at least as long as her ex is living there, and her own father is alive- if her parents are dead, it can at least be understood why Singhs are her only parents). In-laws cannot take place of parents unless parents are dead/are bad person like Gauri's parents.

BV has made this khichdi of relationships perhaps because they do not want to invest in actors/sets. If Anandi continue to live at Jaitsar/badi haveli, Cvs were saved to show her parents/their house. Similarly if Ganga is living with Singhs, they dont have to show a seperate home for Ganga and perhaps other people like Phooli/Gulli etc. with whom she may be living.

Khichdi of relationships - very apt description

Agree. This is what I found and still find hard to understand, how a person portrayed as a fiery tigress suddenly, on entering a Mansion, turns into a meek shadow of herself. I get that she found an innocent, joyful side to her she never knew existed, with all the love and care being showered on her, but you just don't forget the inherent part of your personality like that. Ganga has spent a good part of her life rebelling against her cruel in-laws, sometimes vocally, sometimes silently, but she has always been bold. With years of conditioning like that, especially when someone, like Saanchi, behaves in a downright rude manner you would expect her to react in a quietly stern way and show Saanchi her place. But now all that we see Ganga doing is cry or weep at the drop of a hat and only be reassured if someone else like Jagya, Anandi or Ds comforts her. For a woman who grew up having a very bad opinion of the male species it seems strange she's shown falling for Jagya now that too at a time when her husband still remains a threat. Even I would have rather Jagya fell for her first and convince her that all marriages and husbands need not be the same, that life does offer another chance.

@bold, Saanchi falling for Jagya is probably the most bizarre and unnecessary track on the show.
The way things are going BV seems more like the Indian version of Bold & the Beautiful than a show with a social message. Like someone said here, its just a khichdi of relationships. There doesn't seem to be any message in the show for the past few weeks. A nanad who falls for her bhabhi's ex is just 🤢 in my opinion and Sumi actually entertaining thoughts of Saanchi as Jagya's bride is even more gross. The sooner the Saanchi track ends and Sumi comes to her senses, the better.

I totally missed this thread and am glad i found it now.

Ganga does not need any defence here in the first place. Not because she is right or wrong but because no one in this forum is accusing her, blaming her or asking her to get out of haveli. We just pointed out that even after listening to sumi's worries she is not shown to be given any thought to it let alone planning to leave the place. In turn Sumi who also has valid points is being the one accused completely.I had high expectations on Ganga at first. She was fierce , smart, humble though helpless. now it's like she is only humble , understanding,a cry baby and is still helpless with all the fierceness gone to ashes. This is just a disapproval message given by her supporters and not plain criticism. So this defence thread is totally uncalled for.

This Ganga story is not similar to Shyam-Sugna's story in any case let alone being same and comparing the past sumi to present sumi. That was a love story..and love stories don't have any rules in them!

Ganga is a stranger here. And Sumi pitied her and let her stay in her house on hearing her story. It is not like she had been rude to her from the beginning. And in Sumi's eyes not just Ganga , no girl can ever be equal to her angel Anandi for whom she even left her Son. Here as Suchi said, as every one kept comparing G to A, it put Sumi off which is natural ...it just put her off...she never made a fuss about it at first. Only after she felt that Ganga was/ is and will continue to be a threat(RAT challenged that he will come back to take revenge) to her son, Sumi started getting flared up! That is not insecurity...that is the fear of losing her Son. Why the hell would Sumi feel insecure about a stranger who is almost like their maid! No mother would entertain this idea when her son's life is at stake with no fault of his. Mothers can be excused for being that much selfish(or having that much concern) for their children. If she has some soft corner for the guest/stranger/victim who seeked her refuge then the mother would think of arranging some safe place for the stranger rather than letting her stay at her home and take the risk. Only Haveli won't be a safe place for G. It's not like this is some Bruce Wayne's pent house where no one can reach her there😆.

Coming to this topic about Sumi getting irritated at Ganga for mannu-oil thing. I wonder who kept that oil bowl near a toddler in the first place! And how could his mother be so irresponsible when an old woman and a pregnant woman are present in that house. What's the point in getting angry at mannu whether it is sumi or ganga? The fault lies on that person who kept that bowl beside mannu. Seriously Gehna has gone through a lot to get pregnant...and imagine what would have happened if she slipped and fell down! My maid's baby threw my home theatre remote in a bucket of water and it didn't work after that😭! I had to only blame myself for keeping it in her reach...and then my maid for bringing her baby here in the first place! I don't see any point in chiding the toddlers who can't even understand it. Anyways did Sumi scream at Mannu? or at Ganga? Cause it would be stupid if she screamed at mannu!

Ganga is not meek but there is a lot much difference between her previous in laws and Singhs Singhs never asked her to be maid she is working on her own here while DS and Sumi initially stopped her but Ganga doesn't want to eat free ki roti she wants to help Singhs how much she can She is doing everything on her wish no one forced her and Sumi is not abusing her that she will give angry looks to her as compared to Rat and his family Yeah she can be angry at Sanchi she should not cry there but coming to Sumitra she is understanding Sumitra and Why she is crying at Sumitra's words as it increases guilt in her because of her a noble family like Singhs is suffering , because of her her benefactor's life got in danger and danger is hovering on him in future as well so its perfectly understandable of her being emotional here She is not so hard

Coming to Jagaya falling for her first and pursuing her would be completely unrealistic because after being beaten up emotionally having two failed relationships the guy is not in this emotional state to even think about love so how he can pursue her or fall for her first ?He has a lot many fears in him to give his life one chance in this direction which is realistic so he is going perfectly fine here if he hasn't fallen for Ganga first

Coming to Ganga its realistic and natural for her fall in love first She hated men because so far she only came across cruel men like Rat and his father She never knew good side of men as well Meeting with Jagaya how he helped her her view points changed for men because of it She met many good men here as well Jagaya , Bhairo , Basant , Shiv thats enough to change her hatred for men Perfectly understandable and moreover she has never fallen for anyone before this is first time for her but Jagaya has and failed there as well so its impossible for him to fall first and confess first He don't believe in himself he can be right life partner for anyone so how will he make Ganga believe he is right for her ?Jagaya is not in Shiv's situation or emotional state here that he can be Shiv for Ganga He himself is a broken soul Coming to Ganga its natural for her to fall in love with her benefactor who is healing her soul and making her dreams come to reality and also love her child so much She has made an emotional bond with him which is natural and she has been fighting with herself in temple she cannot think like this for Jagaya , feel bad seeing him with Sanchi what will people say but it is something out of her control as love is natural and bound to happen in which situation she is with Jagaya

I am sure she cannot realize it on her own that she is in love with him as she has never loved anyone before this is first time for her so she don't know what is love or she is in love so here Anandi or DS will play part and make her realize Coming to Jagaya he needs a lot much time to get confidence himself to believe this he has right to love and marry someone and this only that girl can make him realize who will love him and want him to be her life partner otherwise rest keep saying whatever it doesn't affect him much and on his own he cannot think in this way as he is carrying the baggage in him for his two failed relationships for which he is putting all blame on his head so obviously here the girl can work who wants to spend her life with him Accept him with his past and present and make him believe he will be good life partner for her

so in my view cvs are going perfectly fine with Jagaya Ganga's story

Bv only wants to present this view that women like Ganga too can fall in love first Why they are only suppose to do nooo i will not marry MUJH sai nahi hoga whats stupid if she is in love with Jagaya The guy is her soul healer in her place anyone will love him That's realistic and sensible and i am sure if Jagaya would have fallen first he would be bashed left right top bottom here so would be cvs how can he fall so soon so if cvs are not making him fall first again cvs criticized how can Ganga fall first Jagaya should be first ab becharay cvs kya karen😆

Ganga falling for jagya is far more realistic than jagya falling for ganga.Jagya is not going to fall in love so soon.He is now busy in becoming a good person and to rectify his mistakes.
