Anandi's mom - salute her spirit!!!

Thanks Uma, please also let me know what you not like or anything missing. You can always suggest ideas for me to improve 😊

I feel elated as you like my work. I purposefully showed 2 different mothers as opposites. Part of it is their inherent nature and partly their conditions.

Shiv's mom had poor parents, they did not support her and she was not educated. The 3 evils led her to such a depressing state.

Anandi's mom was from a middle class family, well-educated and was supported by her parents at the face of disaster.

What I tried to show is our actions are determined by our past as well as background. No lady can be a Jhansi ki rani without the support system 😊

One of my favorite updates so far in this story!!!

I know even in this age and year...even the educated and well off ppl think this way...that is the sad truth of the society...

Though I didnt have such a painful experience but I do have something to share...

I was so excited when I first got pregnant...since I live in US, we can choose to learn about the gender of the baby...and I wanted to know it so that I will be well prepared with all the baby stuff 😛...In my heart I was hoping it will a girl...even my hubby was hoping it would be a girl as he didnt have any sisters while growing up...When we got to know the gender..it was a girl...We were so excited...when we told the same to my mom-in-law...her first reaction was "aiyyo" (telugu word equivalent to "haila" in hindi)...when I heard her reaction...I cried for days...but then I decided that it shouldnt matter to me what the hell she thinks about my baby...it my baby...and we are very happy about it...to this day whenever I think of it...it pains me somewhere deep...

I cant even imagine how these women face such kind of shit in real life..they are real heroes!

sorry about my rant😃

Dear Saumya, thanks for your lovely comments and sharing your own experience related to the subject. As I said women from all different spheres of the society face this issue. I myself have faced it too. Though not from my husband and in-laws but from extended family. If you have read my previous FF, 'Gone with the wind' I have jotted down my own dialogues i.e. how I gave a befitting reply to one of my Tai-sas (mother-in-law's elder sister-in-law) who was the eldest lady in our extended family.

Dear Sumeet, thanks for my regular reader 😊. Most of my readers are females, with one exception. I really like the feminist in you, and its rare.

You didn't miss anything dear. Anandi has not shared her deepest agony with Shiv yet. Its just the beginning of their friendship. Unlike others in this person, I am a rather slow person in creating romance you see 😆. Call it my age or experience 😛

I hope all the ladies voice out their opinion where their daughters are concerned. Waiting for next update.🤗

Riya my dear, you are a sweet heart. Thanks for being there for me always.

Well having a WARIS is an age old story. In ancient culture, queens used to pray and live a life full of anxiety and anticipation to create heirs. Even today most of the business families in India still got the same thoughts. In last thousand years their mentality has not changed a bit.

Its only we, the working middle class are least affected by this issue.
