Dear Readers,
Thanks for your comments...and I know most of you hate Anandi falling for Jagdish. But in real life we won't know who is Jagdish & who is Shiv...The Jagdishs & Shivs prove themselves through their actions...good or bad.Behind my writing an FF, I got a motive. My goal is to promote awareness among females that life can be harsh at times and also may smile back at you at some unknown point of time.Trust me, my story would be al real. And in real life we meet more Jagdishs and less Shivs, lets just say that we have to wait and try looking for our Shiv with lot of patience.love,Debbie

Khule Ankh Ke Sapne (Dream with open eyes)
For many reasons Jagdish was on my good books from the very first day.
He did his B.Tech. from IITs which I could not clear, hence became a champion in my eyes, and apart from his sharpness he was very hard working. The top management was extremely pleased with his performance. In order to save a doomed project he would work non-stop (12-20 hours per day) and work till his seniors would push him to go home for some sleep. He was shy, very soft-spoken, introvert, workaholic and not a regular flirt like most of the other guys in office. In fact many female colleagues used to drool over his looks & success. Also I learnt that he was from a very highly influential family of Rajasthan, his late grandpa was an ex-MP and father a senior class I officer in Rajasthan electricity board.
After that incident, somehow I felt that he is not having the kind of effect as I had with him that night.
But no...wait...I was wrong...Just 2 days afterwards I received the very first email from him...which was not any more than a casual "Hello". I was more than happy to oblige. And then started the long Silsila of emails. I found him a vivid writer unlike what I judged him that night. He wrote with emotion and his style was poetic. Every other day he would send me either a poem or some e-flowers or a simple email expressing his day-to-day activities. Sometimes he used to call just to wish me casually and he used to visit the main office where I was placed in those days. We used to meet, never in private though...always among a group of friends where I used to speak non-stop and he would be a listener mostly. But I started looking forward to his emails, calls, visits...His soft smile, charm, knowledge, writing skills in fact almost everything started affecting me as never before. But I already drawn my Laxman Rekha and never advanced in those lines...until...
"Lado you have to come home this weekend...No, I wont listen to any of ur pleas...its an extremely agreeable proposal and the horoscope matched...you must reach here with next available flight". And I had to oblige my ever sweet mom.
In the flight I saw a familiar figure...and that's the first time we spent some time together...just two of us. I didn't even remember how the next couple of hours spent...though we mostly discussed our projects and study/work stuff, somewhere both of us had started feeling something strange.
Me: How come such a short visit to home?
Jagdish: Oh, my sister who lives abroad has come home for few days...I would be back on Monday. And u?
Me: Ummm...Actually...mmm... I think my folks are trying to fix my marriage this time.
Jagdish: Oh! (the smile vanished)
The remaining journey went pretty silent...
Reached home late on Friday night and our family met the candidate (don't even remember his name now) and his family the very next day. The guy was my college senior (2 years though we had never met before), from a very decent family, was working for another MNC in Delhi. We had a quick meeting...everything went well...it was a happy occasion for both the family and sweets were distributed. Parents asked us to take few weeks time for communication and mutual comfort zone before we could go ahead with the engagement.
Somewhere my mind remained blank, everything was nice regarding this guy and his family; however I couldn't feel the joy, my eyes were craving for someone. Life suddenly seemed so fika fika...
I joined back work late on Monday...
Next evening I was in my hostel after work & the ward boy informed me "Mam, it's your call from some Mr jagdish Singh"...and I wondered wherefrom he found my hostel number (those were no-mobile, no-google and limited tv serial days). He was somewhere near and wanted to meet me in a minute.
I came out and saw him approaching in a red bike...after a quick "Hello" followed something I had never imagined.
Jagdish: Anandi...I...I...want to tell you some..something (his cheeks were red & he was stammering badly).
Me: Yes Jagdish...
Jagdish: Anandi...I..want to tell...I mean...
Me: Yes...
Jagdish: Anandi...I..want to tell...Iloveyou...
Me: ... (shock, happiness, panic... so many emotions flooded me in next few seconds)
Jagdish: Sorry, if I disappoint you...I find you the most intelligent and capable gal around (he didn't say beautiful, why?)...I am so much attached with you that I cant bear to live without your presence in my life.
Me: ...
Jagadish: Plz say something
Me: Jagdish, I find you an amazing guy, but I am at the verge of getting engaged to someone else, you are late. (Aah, the practical side of me!!)
He started trembling, his eyes went red and then tears started flowing in abundance...he immediately left without a word.
That night I could not eat, or sleep...and that followed with a even more restless day...I missed his smile, his emails, his glances, I missed HIM!!
Note: Readers many of you have questioned the arrival of Shiv. But wait, just like BV he is no way near now. Also Shiv has been no extra-ordinary had Jagdish been a good guy. He might be a hero for us, but to be honest his character has value only due to the evil in Jagya's character.
In BV Anandi's parents are poor and illiterate; however my version would show that even highly educated females from well-to-do families could also suffer badly a wrong decision.
My only request, please be honest and ruthless regarding your feedback...I am always open for criticism as long as its logical 😊 Also I need to know where I could improve, and where my Anandi went wrong? Where she could have improved?
Next: Sach ka samna...
