Look, for the first time ever I've seen understanding in-laws and SIL in a TV show (heck! Even life, because such a scenario is rarest of the rare in our partriarchal society) and I am happy with Shiv and Shekhars shown by BV. But this is just ridiculous how Singhs didn't seem to think of Shekhars and the fact that they've also been away from their beloved son and that now they'd get to have their son and bahu with them finally!
And Jagya! Haha! He's showed his roots are still intact! Ha! Immediately suggested everyone if they could stop Shiv's transfer using "their influence"! Hahahaha! Just as he and his DS had been pulling strings in every situation of life since his childhood to get their way!
Precap with Jagya was even a bigger hoot! Yeah he's on path of reformation. But how can he talk like that about Anandi's departure? Did he think of her when he first left for Mumbai? Did he think of her when he announced that he'd chucked her out from his life? He never thought of "being unable to see her or have her around" when he was leading his life his own way. Why think like that and crib for Anandi now? Why act selfish and why not accept the fact that she has a life of her own, she's married and only going where her husband is going? Heck! Anandi even has the right to herself decide to leave Jetsar and settle somewhere else with Shiv, professional reasons or not!! It is HER OWN life!
Thank God for DS' rebuke to rest of the Singhs towards the end or else I'd have bashed the Singhs completely. DS accepts Anandi is married and has to settle in her own family and Shekhars are also entitled to have their son and DIL with them.
I didn't like Toral in today's episode. Her dialogue delivery was useless. I couldn't make out what she was saying. I had to raise the volume of the TV to get her dialogues! Her face was showing frustration instead of sadness at leaving Jetsar. Scene between her and Shiv was less impactful. And that's not due to chemistry but more because I don't get why Shiv is also always acting so scared and worried! Being sensitive and empathic is one thing but why act confused, reluctant, worried and self conscious over such a trivial issue?! If he is worried to *this* extent then why doesn't he give Anandi and Singhs complete happiness and become a ghar jamai? (Not that I have any issue with ghar jamais. It'll be nice if BV can lift stigma and society's BS about ghar jamais. I only hate all the constipated looks and worry Shiv's been showing over this issue!)
Anandi didn't say even once that she was concerned about Shiv, or will be happy to be where he is. Even when she said, she'll go with a smile on her face, she later added she'd do so, so that Singhs and villagers don't get hurt or sad! I understand her grief (she's being uprooted and made to adjust in a new place for the third time in her life) but where's her concern, sensitivity and empathy towards Shiv and Shekhars? Why didn't she sense how worried Shiv was? She'd made a promise to Shiv's photo that she'd fill his life with happiness. Why not live up to that and why wallow again? She could've said it'd be difficult for her to leave but she'd do anything for Shiv, after all that he'd done for her! I mean, I wanted her to make a balanced and diplomatic answer.
Her moping only showed she accepted Shiv but only if her Jetsar, Singhs and previously existing set up was still intact, eh?
I have never seen so much madness in Anandi for her own parents (Bhago, Khajan) and her own village as much as it is for Jetsar and Singhs!
And sorry, but Saanchi's concerns aren't unfounded either. I don't see strong steps from Anandi to blend into Shekhar family or accept them as her family too. At times her behaviour reminds you she was pressurised into marriage and didn't marry willingly!
This whole Anandi ki bidaai drama is trash and so is selfish possessiveness of some characters towards her, and that confusion, indecisiveness of Shiv! Shiv has begun to resemble the weak avatar of Anandi now! Where's the quick thinking and samajh-soojh boojh Shiv had earlier?
