To me CM and Sanchi really do depict the SOCIAL faces of objections to remarriage in BV 2.0:

1. Nayee Naveli dulhaann - CM said it...and its difficult to not infer she wanted someone "untouched" for her Ladlaa Shiv;

2. What she said to Anandi about Yaadein and going back to J contains regressive belief that Pati is Parmeshswar even if he is a SUWAR (PIG) and a woman cannot beyond a marital relationship once she has been in one because she will carry emotional baggage from it to her next one.

3. Sanchi is poster child for belief that a village girl is somehow inferior to a Seheri Girl. That education and progressiveness flourishes in the city and rural lifestyle is somehow unworthy.

4. Sanchi's comment and CM's inference is also that Shiv was somehow trapped by Anandi's physical & other attributes into this relationship. The blind in love theory.

Its like women don't get clean once they bathe. They stay tainted with the touch of another man. CM has not said so yet - but this most certainly will come up and it is the underlying bone of discontent with CM and the ideas she stands for.

A bachelor deserves a maid. But a divorcee shud look for another divorcee or widower perhaps. This, as unpalatable as it sounds IS a major concern. We saw the same thing when Sugna got married. Then Shyam's entire extended family was against Sugna. Here its just CM. In fact, it was much more worse then. Shyam's family was rural and lived close by and Sugna was carrying another's man's baby.

But there - Shyam's will had prevailed. Here too, Shiv's will will prevail and eventually Anandi will win over everyone - well most - with her personality. No in-laws are a set of roses and there have to be some thorns to make it worthwhile. CM will be one. I can live with that.

I u/stand and appreciate your point of view., and if CV's meant to be tackling the virginity angle also., it is absolutely fine by me and will appreciate them for same.,
Just that this angle is directly not potrayed...and the audience may miss this delicate issue being addressed...as happened with me...😆
The DIVORCEE Issue has always been potrayed ( w.r.t conversations between CM and Shiv ) only on an emotional plane...I could relate it only on this level...😊

In a widow/divorcee remarriage, her not being a virgin is always an isuue. It is the proverbial big white elephant in the room that no one wants to acknowledge and everyone tiptoes around.

I agree with you ...what the people expectations are from this point and again, being widow and /or divorcee makes a lot of difference...being widow is considered a destiny and the woman is never labelled but being considered from sympathy point...and the factors you mentioned in earlier post have not any weightage ...
But being divorcee, our society does not look at the same way a widow is seen... Considering Divorcee for a marriage raises many question in the mind of an indivdual and the person or family marrying a divorcee would like to know the reason of failed marriage..It s same with male ..even a male divorcee will be browsed thousand times before a girl marry with him...

ok i am going to mention wo examples to highlight the contrast between the situation of a divorsee woman marrying an unmarried man and a divorsee man marrying an unmarried woman.
not sure if im allowed to mention other celebs but i would take my cances.
i rememebr when anil kumble had married his childhood girlfriend who was by nwo divorsee with a small baby girl from her previous marriage. there were a lot of comments like how she was not good looking, how she had taken anil kumble for a ride. etc etc ... on deeper probing i coudl understand what was not said explicitly but the major cause of such comments was her physical state!
ok now come to amir marrying kiran, absolutely no objections on amir , if at all i have heard anyone saying anything bad it is for kiran. personally i dont like their situation, reena divorsed with two kdis etc but to blame kiran for taking amir for a ride. now that is sexiest!
but such prejudices keep prevailing and need to eb addressed.
im actually very sad by CMs words. such attitudes make it impossible for women to start over, and force them to get stuck with looser spouses for the rest of their lives, without any hope of being happy ever again.
in my opinion, society needs a major revamp as regards to its stand on virginity. that alone will make it possible for countless women to start over with the hope of having a better life, without having to hear such derogatory comments. and without being made to feel like a criminal.

Well, your examples are well eloborated to make it a point and I like .
Annadi was the beendni of a big haveli and got in touch with Shiv...but how many people are able to even talk to Collector sahib in our society. People like working as PA as Bhim Singh even does not allow a normal person to meet a collector...
So ..definitely because Anandi is the beendni of a haveli parivar..she got connected to Shiv..I doubt if Same Anandi is still in Khazan s singh s house..shiv would have picked her...

Anandi the Sarpanch who got to meet collector sahib.Collector sahib knew a lot about the good work sarpanch Anandi has done and was impressed with her even before he met her.
Shiv would not have picked her if she was in Khazan Singh's house or for that matter if she was sitting inside the haweli doing nothing with her life

If Anandi was a Sarpanch living in KS's house Shiv would have chosen her. It has nothing to do with Anandi being in Haveli. Like Appy said, if she was doing nothing in the haveli, Shiv would not have chosen her !

My first reaction to the post 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Shiv is supposedly rich himself. Why would he want the haveli and their jewelery !!! For God's sake he is a collector. He has more name and fame than the haveli people would have !
You got that right.. Every divorcee can't be a Sarpanch. That's why Shiv fell for Anandi !
