In case it escaped your notice let me remind you that Shiv has declined all that DS has offered.

If the villagers wanted someone from Haweli they would have asked DS or Bhairon to be there Sarpanch.They wanted Anandi as their Sarpanch.They would have chosen someone like A to be their Sarpanch even if she was living at Phooli's place.

Is there any humanity shown by Shiv to Jaitsar to prove that he is a good collector,...Anandi saved him from Canal episode..how many times he stopped on roadside to see the conditions of people living in these villages..any body can tell me what he did good to prove as an excellent collector of Jaitsar so far..he is just a lovebird in Jatsar..who never cared anyone else ..because he is so despo with Anandi that he does not have time to think about other people..yahh he knows only one road in Jaitsar...a road to haveli...people of this country be saved from such typoes of collectors...

Anjana u have analysed CM's character brilliantly in ur post.

She is truly a gray character...In fact almost everyone has shades of gray in them...No human being is ever all white or all black...

Along with all ur descriptions of CM I would like to add one more...She is an 'insensitive' woman...who does not think twice about the effect her words could have on the other person...

But one thing was obvious from the things she told Anandi today...that she is very much against this alliance..whether this is due to her blind love for Shiv or out of her own frustrations...(being a widow and never remarried...etc)...But somehow she just does not want Shiv to marry Anandi...

And I agree with u Anjana about the following...I am not bashing her...I am analyzing her. The good and the bad. I mock her name, but not the character itself. I find the portrayal nuanced.

U have only analysed her character and not bashed anyone...

This is not a show about showing Shiv's collectorgiri ! It was one way of introducing Shiv into Jeitsar. Making AnSh meet professionally which later turned into love for him.

Btw, they did show one scene where he showed humanity by helping a villager whose bullock cart was stuck in mud !

Anandi did not save the collector she explained to the villagers what the collector has done was for the welfare of the villagers.

Secondly this is not really the story of Shiv the collector.It is the story of Anandi.Shiv is just one of the people in Anandi's life.So what he does when he is not with Anandi will obviously be not shown to us.That's no reason to assume that he is not good collector.

Shiv as a collector also saved the society 4m public nuisance of jagat...
Waise we r not watching afsar beta... But try remember our serial's name balika Vadhu,where Anandi is the lead n Letz not expose our chota minds with blaming of positive ckts...Shiv's performance as a collector is out of scope ...what wd shyam,sugna, abhishek,asha,mahavir singh... badimasi etc., are doing every day, is irrelevance to story pack ..
What happiness do we get n share by throwing stones @ an outright unblemished positive character n calling him as shivpighead ...are we blind to discriminate right from wrong?

Or shd we support criminals?? Oh God! Save cms!

Bhach BETA - we are not watching Collector Saab we r watching Balika Vadhu. Shiv is in Jaitsar because of the unnati (development) brought about by Anandi in the village - such that it became a district requiring a Collector. So, d'uh obviously she gets to meet the Collector being the Sarpanch selected by the townspeople and honored by the Minister for her social service and works in the District. Shiv met Anandi first not the Haveli people even at the function. Daadisa became his Daadji because of Anandijee not because she comes from Haveli.

Why is he a good collector:

1) He fought from day 1 against Bal Vivah and bought bangles for a child widow;

2) He saved the town's Sarpanch

3) He is working on solving the area's water problem with consultation of the people including Anandi as to what is best path;

4) He is efficient at selecting the right tender and not easily intimidated by the corrupt local MLA, but does what is good for the district instead;

5) He personally stopped the illegal child marriage of Jyoti - got police involved and instituted regulations in the area to prevent such incidents;

6) He believes in setting the right example for the people of the district and is doing so even with his own wedding to Anandi by insisting on a) No Dowry and b) a Simple Shaadi;

7) He stands up for the common man - be it a sabziwala or a local farmer with his wheel stuck in the mud;

Now would you like the list about why your ladla Dr. Jugat is an ASS?
