Taste of reality(A short scene)

An uncanny hustle bustle filled the corridor of SNG .As Jagiya enters the corridor he sees gauri talking to a senior doctor who seems more like someone from the administration. Gauri is talking to that person in a very excited tone. Jagiya slowly walks towards Gauri as that person walks away.

G:thank god jagat tum aa gaye...main tumhi ko dhoondh rahi thi.

J:kyun aisa kya ho gaya gauri? bahut excited sound kar rahi ho??

G:excited hone ki to baat hai jagat.tumhein pata hai SNG ke rajasthan branch ke inauguration ki saari responsibility Mr Grewal ne mujhe aur meri team ko di hai...I mean humein di hai.

J: to ismein itna khush hone ki kya baat hai??tum to aise excited ho rahi ho jaise humare apne hospital ki inauguration ho!!

G:oho jagat tum bhi na'kuch samamjhte hi nahin ho! U know SNG mein hamare batch ke jitney bhi doctors hain unme se koi bhi rajasthan se nahin hai...hum dono ko chod ke.Aur aise mein agar hum dono is inauguration mein apna full participation show karenge to sab ko pata chal jayega ki hum kitne dedicated aur hardworking hain.Ek choti jagah se hone ke baad bhi hum itne successful ban paaye. Sabko pata chal jayega ki rajasthan ke gaon ki ladkiyan ghar mein choolah jalane ke alawa bhi kuch kar sakti hain.

Jagiya knew where gauri was going.He wanted to avoid this talk as he was already missing his family and village a lot since so many days.

J(trying to divert the topic):woh sab to theek hai gauri...but kya hum sab ye clerical kaam karte hue achche lagenge. I mean we are doctors! aur ye guests ka swagat karna unki khatir dari karna...main ye sab nahin kar sakta.🐷

Gauri felt irritated seeing jagat's big headedness.😡

G:Ohh pls jagat don't start that again...jab mujhe koi problem nahin hai ye sab karne mein to tum kyun itna issue create kar rahe ho.Jabki main ek MS hoon aur tum ek mbbs! And SNG mein sab bahut professional hain u know...yahan kisi kaam ko chota nahin samjha jata.Tumhein pata bhi hai is inauguration function mein kitna media...kitne bade bade officers or politicians honge. After all its SNG's new branch aur woh bhi with a charitable wing .Na jane kitne civil service officers ,collectors,doctors,media wahan honge.Its a grand affair jagat!!Isiliye hi main itni khush hoon.Socho we will be the centre of limelight.SNG ki ek senior doctor aur uski team...jo apne state ke liye kitna kuch kar rahi hai.Kitna attention milega mujhe aur meri team ko...I mean humko!

Jagiya fumed within seeing her self-obsessive behavior. What all she thought was of herself. Jagiya so wanted to say a big no to gauri for all this clerical type of work but he had no option-after all he is her assistant.😆

Finally the day arrived. Gauri had been all excited about the preps. The new branch had to be inaugurated in Udaipur. She made jagiya do lot of work which he hated utterly'but had to do as he had no other option. Gauri had also invited her parents for the ceremony. Now the ceremony was about the start. Soon the news spread that the guests had arrived. Everyone knew that the chief guest was the only son of udaipur's famous and influential shekhar family as they had given quite a huge financial support for the new branch of SNG. Gauri and her team are waiting at the doorstep to welcome him and his team with garlands and aarti. Gauri is holding the scissors for him to inaugurate the hospital. Only then the guy arrives.

Its none other than our Shivu.😳😳 He is wearing a body hugging white shirt that clearly flaunted his well toned biceps that was tucked neatly into a black trouser. As Shiv enters inside, he removes his dark colored glares giving a better view of his hazel eyes. Gauri is left dumbstruck seeing his personality. Seeing gauri like that Jagiya pats him on her shoulder.

J:Gauri kya kar rahi ho...guests ko scissors do taki woh ribbon kaat saken.

Jagiya's words bring gauri back to her senses. She moves the tray which had the scissor on it towards shiv. But only then shiv interrupts.

Sh:Dekhiye ye inauguration main akele nahin kar sakta.Main chahta hoon ki ye inauguration mere saath meri woh sahyogi karein jo sach mein hum sab ke liye ek missal hain. Jo hamesha sabki madat karti hain aur har achche kaam mein sahyog deti hain.Aur jinke khud ke gaon mein rajasthan ka sabse bada aur well-equiped district hospital hai.Aur sach kahoon to unke hospital ko dekh kar mujhe ye inspiration mili ki Udaipur mein bhi ek aisa hospital hona chahiye.Udaipur mein bahut bade aur super-speciality hospitals hain but koi bhi 100% free nahin. Aur unke hospital ko dekhkar hi mujhe ye ehsaas hua ki ek aise hospital ki zaroorat Udaipur mein bhi hai.

Hearing such great words about the perso everyone was now waiting to se who Shiv talked about.Everyone looked at the door to catch a glimpse of the awaited person

"Aur woh hain jaitser ki sarpanch Anandi Singh ji!!" Shiv declares with a pride in his eyes😳

Only then Anandi enters the hall. As soon as she enters the smile on her face evaporates into air. She is left stunned to see gauri and jagiya standing in front of her. The color of her face fades away. But a quadruple shock effect hits gauri and jagiya. The floor beneath gauri's feet slips away. She will have to put garland on Anandi and do aarti of Anandi!!...gauri cudnt understand what was happening. Her hands trembled and heart pumped as if it would jump out of her chest any moment. A similar reaction dawned upon jagiya's sense. Life surely had come to a full circle. This was the same Anandi he had rejected for being illiterate and foolish. And today he had been appointed to welcome her and look after her as a guest. Jagiya felt suffocated.🤢

Though Anandi too felt like running away from the place but she gave away the thought. And the reason was Shiv. Since morning a constant smile had been gleaming on his face. Anandi knew that Shiv was really excited and happy for this day as this was his family's dream and vision. HE wanted to do all this for his family's happiness. And thus she didn't want to create a scene. So just for Shiv Anandi decided to control her emotions and act as indifferent as possible

Now both Anandi and shiv cut the ribbon together. Shiv looked at Anandi with an unmatched adoration in his eyes. For the first time he was doing something of this sort for his family and Anandi was right there with him. To him the moment seemed so beautiful'so complete😳

Shiv had already talked to and convinced Anandi for this. Though she was not at all ready to do this ribbon cutting thing with him as she was not in any way linked to SNG but when invited by rajasthan's cm for this noble job Anandi had to give in.

Now the ribbon had been cut. Everyone applauded and sprinkled rose petals on Anandi and shiv. Jagiya's heart was burning that made him feel sick. Now gauri had to put the garland in anandi's neck and same jagiya had to do with shiv. Jagiya does it without much problem as he is still not aware about shiv's true identity and his closeness with Anandi. Now its gauri's turn. Gauri moves towards Anandi with the garland. As she comes face to face with Anandi'gauri's heart sinks. She remembers all what she had said to her'the number of times she had insulted her and rebuked her. It seemed to gauri as if someone have given her a tight slap right into her face. So avoiding anandi's undeterred gaze gauri puts the garland in her neck. And then she does their arti. It seems to gauri as if it's the worst moment of her life. She feels defeated and crushed.

But Anandi pays no heed to them and moves ahead with shiv completely ignoring the doctor duo.

Next Anandi and shiv are seated and having some discussion with a senior doctor of SNG.The food is also served. Only then a waiter comes and offers Anandi and shiv a rajasthani delicacy. Anandi takes one for herself and hands over one to shiv.This time gauri isn't accompanying and supervising the waiters. Rather she is eating angrily standing at the corner with her parents and jagiya. This fumes the senior doctor and he calls gauri and jagiya angrily, He asks gauri that its her duty to ensure the comfort of the guests and have food with them rather than eating alone. Gauri feels as if someone had put salt on her wounds. Taking care of anandi's comfort and food!!It seemed like hellish. But to show off gauri softens and asks all his team mates to sit and enjoy the food with the guests and to ensure their comfort. Now everyone starts having the food. As shiv is about to eat that dish Anandi stops shiv's hand in middle.

A wave of jealousy passes down jagiya's spine as he sees Anandi holding shiv's hand.Her dainty fingers gripping strongly onto his muscular arm. Jagiya's ears blew invisible fumes💔🥺

Sh:Kya hua Anandi ji?

A:collector saheb aap ye nahin kha sakte'

Sh:kyun kya hua??

A:ismein matar hain.

Shiv is left surprised seeing that annadi remembered that he had allergy from pea.It touched his heart how she remembered the small details about him. A smile came on shiv's lips as he put the spoon down.

Sh:Thnxx Anandi(shiv said with a sigh)😳

Seeing their closeness jagiya felt like hitting shiv.But alas he knew that if that would happen he himself would become the first patient of the new SNG.So he dropped the idea.The senior doctor became very angry with gauri as she had already been told that all the food should be cooked without peas as shiv, the main chief guset had a severe allergy to it. The senior doctor apologized from shiv and blasted gauri in front of everyone. Gauri felt like crying. What she had thought about the event and what it turned out to be!!To cover up her fault she had no option but to aplogise. This seemed the biggest task ever. It seemed impossible. Her fists tightened almost involuntarily and her voice was gone. She couldn't gather words to speak. A shrill SORRY was what all she could verbalize😈🤢

The senior doctor ordered jagiya and gauri to stay away from the remaining responsibilities as he would assign them to someone else. Both of them are left shocked and dumbstruck. They walk away slowly towards gauri's mom and dad who had an equally constipated expression on their faces while ansh enjoyed their remaining meal in each others warm company😍
