Scene 30aShiv felt terrible at his outburst. He hated the sight of Anandi cry. He felt helpless and angry at his own behavior
'Sorry Anandi ji. mera maqsad aapko tes pahunchana nahi tha'
He looked at Anandi who was looking away with tears streaming through her eyes.
'ye lijiye' he said offering her his handkerchief
Anandi looked at him and after few seconds when Shiv was about to take his hand back, she took it from him and wiped her tears.
'Anandi ji, main aapkay dard ko panap nahi saktha, lekin kam zaroor ker saktha hun' he said
Anandi did not look at him, but seemed to listen
'Dard bantnay sey kam hotha hai. aap mujhe is layak nahi samajthi ki main aapka dard bant sakun?' he asked her
Anandi remained quiet
Shiv became silent
After couple of moments Anandi looked at him and saw that guilt was clearly etched across shiv's face.
'Mera dard meri kamzori bhi hai aur taqat bhi. Isi dard ki wajay sey main uper uth sakhi hun. Agar ye dard hi mera saath chod day, tho mujhe dar hai ki main apni zindagi ki sannaton main kho jaungi. isiliye main is dard ko kisi kay saath bant nahi sakthi' said Anandi
Shiv looked at her, and after a moment of silence
'Tho ye jo kuch bhi aapnay haasil kiya , uska shrey kisko jatha hai?
tho kya main ye manalun ki , agar Anandi ka pati usay chod ker nahi jatha, tho Anandi kabhi agay nahi badhthi?
ya main ye sochun ki aapnay jo kuch bhi kiya hai, apnay gaon ke liye, unkay logon ke liye, voh sabh ek mukhota hai?
'kya main ye soch lun ki aapkay kaam kay peechay jo niyyat hai, voh khoti hai?' He asked seriously
Anandi was taken aback and was left speechless. No one had ever criticized her work before. She had always done things which she felt were correct, even if it meant to go against traditions. She had time and again faced challenges , even when she was married to Jagya and she chose the correct path. Anandi remembered how she helped Gulli and had saved her from bal vivah.
She looked at the man sitting in front of her. For the first time she felt that someone was showing her the mirror. The fire of fighting for the truth was always present inside of her. Somewhere along the lines, it was diminished. When jagya had left her, she looked towards that diminished fire inside of her for support and only because of that she was able to survive his betrayal.
It was clear to her that, the wounds that Jagya gave her were not the reason behind her struggle for betterment of the society. They did not give her the zeal to overcome hurdles, rather it was her own lost desire that had helped her in the toughest of times.
'aapka dard aapki prerna kabhi nahi ban sakthi. ' said Shiv
Anandi looked at him. Her tears were dried and her heart felt lighter than ever.
' us dard ko nikal phekiye Anandi ji, jo aapko seemith kertha hai. Aur ismay , main aapka saath dunga.'
Shiv then smiled at her and put his hand forward
'Agar aap mujhe is layak samajhthi hain tho '' he said
Anandi looked at him and a faint smile appeared on her face
She then moved her hand forward towards his. Suddenly she felt another violent jerk.
Shiv caught on to her hand and pulled her towards him. Anandi came towards him with full force and fell on top of him. Her hands were tightly secured within his. Her knees were touching his knees and her hair was all over her face.
'Anandi ji aap teekh tho hai na' he said as he slowly pushed her back towards her seat
'ji ..'
Soon they saw a cart go past them. The technicians managed repair their cart and within 10 minutes they were all set to move.
Scene 30 b
Anandi and Shiv finally reached the other side of the hill, where everyone else were waiting for them.
Naina rushed towards Anandi
'Anandi thum teek tho ho na' she asked her voice filled with concern
'ji' replied Anandi
'ama shiv yaar, thum jahan bhi jathay hona , sirf problem hi problem hotha hai' complained Rithul
'are maine kya kiya' said shiv
'bhaiyyah mujhe tho lagtha hai ki inhonay jan buch ker kiya hai ye. Warna , aisa bhi kahin hotha hai kya?' said ikshu looking at Rithul with a mischievous twinkle in his eye.
'Ikshu, teri baat main dam hai. Ye khadoos collector , aisa kaam ker bhi saktha hai' said Rithul
'meray bhaiyyah aisay nahin hai ok' added Ishika who had come to Shiv's aid
'Oye chup bhaiyyah ki chamchi' said Ikshu smacking Ishika on her head
'acha , main kiyun aisa kernay laga. Mujhe kya shok hai, aasmain aur dharti kay beech main latakthe hue?' asked Shiv putting both his hands on his hips
'hum thum ek sky cart main bandh ho aur problem ho jaye' sang Ikshu
Rithul, Naina and Ishika roared with laughter
Anandi who was busy adjusting her dupatta looked at them and then glared at shiv, as if accusing him of the very same thing
'aye, nahi ...aisa kuch nahi kiya maine. Aap log bhi na kuch bhi...' he stumbled
'Acha chalo chalo abhi kahin khanay chalthay hain. Thum donon kay intezar kay chakkar main bhukh lagnay lagi hai' said Naina
