Shiv called Ikshu, who had already reached to the other side of the ropeway , on his phone.

'BHaiyyah lagtha hai kuch technical problem hai. Abhi thodi dair main shuru ho jayega' Said Ikshu

'Anandi ji lagtha hai kuch technical problem hai. Thodi dair main sabh teek ho jayega' assured shiv

'Abh kya karengay shiv ji' Anandi had started to Panic
'Anandi please don't worry. Acha ek kaam kariye yahan, meray paas aaker bait jayiye' he said pointing towards the space near him

Anandi looked at the seat. The Cart was not huge and spacious and if Anandi had to sit there, she would be very close to Shiv. She decided to let the invitation pass. Suddenly the cart shook violently again. Anandi quickly jumped across and sat besides Shiv. Her Arms were brushing very close to his. She closed her eyes tightly and felt a strong palm hold grasp of her hand.

She opened her eyes and found Shiv holding her hands.
Shiv gave her a confident 'not to worry' look and looked outside the cart. Soon the cart stopped moving and came to a standstill. It seemed that the air around the cart had calmed thus making the cart stop moving.

After a minute Anandi slowly moved her hands and removed it from the grasp of Shiv. She then tried to get up and go to the other side, but she tripped and fell in Shiv's lap.

'OUCH' said shiv as Anandi's bangle had poked him hard on his thigh

'Sorry' said Anandi and quickly got up and sat on the other side.

Shiv massaged his thigh and looked at Anandi who continued to look fearful.

'Anandi ji aapnay bataya nahi ki mom nay kya kaha' he continued
'Shiv ji aap please mera dhyan hatanay ki koshih na karain' she said irritated
'Anandi ji is baar sachi main jan-na chahtha hun' he said earnestly

'Shiv ji, ye sahih waqt hai is baat ke liye?' she asked continuing to look irritated

'Abh nahi tho kab?' said Shiv
' Pata nahi kab tak humain yahan se nikalengay. At lease is doran thodi serious baat hi ker lethay hain. Shayad phir iska mauka na milay' he said smirking

'mujhe yahan per dar lag raha hai, aur aapko mazak sooj raha hai?' she said angrily

'ji. Waise main aapko kabhi darthay hue nahi dekha. Yaad hai aap kaise jyothi kay shadi main chali gayi thi? na jaan ki fikar na maar ki' he said

'tho, voh alag baat thi. Mujhe unchai sey dar lagtha hai' said Anandi
'Acha, phir aapnay pehlay kiyun nahi bataya' asked shiv wondering why she agreed to come on the sky ride in the first place

' mujhe aaj hi pata chala hai. Main thodi na roz roz unchay pahadon per chadthi hun Jetsar main. Registhan main parvath nahi hothay' she said sarcastically

'han ye tho sahih kaha aapnay. Acha tho batayiye na mom nay kya kaha tha aapsey' he asked not wanting to move away from the subject

'Aap zid kiyun ker rahe hain. Mujhe nahi batana' she said frustrated

'Acha main khudh hi guess kertha hun. Mom nay kaha ki aap pichla jo bhi hua bhul jaye aur Shiv, yani kay mujhsey shadi ker lain. Right? he asked
Anandi looked at him shocked
'JI nahi' she said
'Nahi? ok Teekh hai ye kaha hoga ki Shiv, yani kay main , aapsey bohot pyar kertha hun isiliye behthar yeh hai ki hum dono shadi ker lain?' he asked

Anandi chose to ignore his talk and looked around to see if another cart was coming their way on the electric line on their other side.

'Nahi? ok hmm ho saktha hai ki aapnay mom sey ye kaha ki aap shadi ke liye tayyar hain aur aap mujhe batana nahi chahthi abh. shayad , wapis jaker batanay ka irada hai' He said

'Aap shadi kay ilawa kuch aur nahi soch sakthay?' asked Anandi angrily

Shiv shook his head

'Anandi, batao na' he said desperately

'Aapki ma na kuch aisa nahi kaha' she said

'ye main nahi maantha. Jab tak aap nahi batathi main tho yahi assume karunga ki aap shadi ke liye han ker chuki hain aur mujhe batanay sey sharma rahin hain' said Shiv

Shiv did not understand where he was getting the courage to speak to Anandi this way. Perhaps them being suspended in mid air, more than 200+ feet above did the trick.

'Acha Anandi ji mat batayiye' and as shiv wanted to continue there was another violent jerk. The cart made Anandi fly towards Shiv. He held onto her shoulders and slowly pushed her back onto her seat.

Anandi was feeling restless as Shiv had remained quite for 5 minutes.

'aap kuch bol kiyun nahi rahe hain' she asked with a panic

'ye ajeeb baat hai. Kabhi aap kehthi hain ki chup ho jao , kabhi kehthin hai ki baat kiyun nahi kerthay hain' complained shiv

'Ok, so aapnay kya decide kiya hai' he asked

'decide? kis baray main' asked Anandi confused

'Humari shadi kay baray main , aur kya' continued shiv , as if it was the most obvious topic that needed to be discussed.

Anandi let out a sigh.

'aapko iskay ilaawa kuch aur baat nahi sooj rahi hai kya. Aap please ikshu ji ya rithul ji ko phone milayiye aur puchiye ki kab tak aayengay' requested Anandi

Shiv called Ikshu and the later informed him that, the technicians were trying their best to get another cart out to repair theirs. Seemed like there was no problem with the electric lining but with the cart itself. There was some wiring issues that needed to be taken care of. Ikshu said that they would take another 30 minutes or so.


'aur tees minute!' said Anandi flabbergasted

Shiv shook his hand and smirked

'aapko bohot maza aa raha hai na, mujhe is halat main dekhthay hue?' said Anandi angrily

'nahi , lekin aap achi bohot lag rahi hain salwar kameez main' he said

Anandi looked at him shocked. Is this the same shiv that she had come to know from her village? She never expected such boldness from him.


'Anandi ji' said Shiv

'Nahi mujhe aapsey shadi nahi kerni' said Anandi right away

'are main tho aapsey kuch aur hi puchnay wala tha kiyunki aapnay kaha ki shadi wali topic per aap kuch baat nahi kerna chahthi. Lekin kiyunki aap us topic per aa hi gayin hain tho '.

kiyun nahi kerna chahthi hain?' asked Shiv innocently putting his fingers under his chin and putting up a thoughtful face.

Anandi glared at him.

'aap janthay hain kiyun' she said finally

'nahi , main bus yeh hi jantha hun ki aapnay socha ki main Ashi sey pyar kertha hun. Aap nay socha, maine nahi kaha , aapnay socha' he said pointedly

'Aur phir aap nay socha ki main aap per daya ker raha hun yah koi meherbani ker raha hun. Again aap ki soch'

'hala ki baat ye hai' said shiv putting up his hand trying to stop Anandi from interrupting his talk

'baat ye hai ki main aapsey pyar kertha hun. Koi meherbani nahi. Aapki acchayi sey, aapkay drid sankalp sey, confidence, attitude, logon kay liye jo ham dardi hai aapkay dil main ussey'

'.Anandi looked at him shocked not knowing what to respond, while shiv continued

'aur aapki khobsurati sey..' he said Softly.

Anandi blushed despite herself at his remark

'tho is main meherbani ya, raham ki baat kahan sey aa gayi?!' said Shiv angrily

'Anandi ji aap hi batayiye ki , kya ek ladkay ka , ek ladki kay achayiyan aur uskay swabhav sey pyar kerna galat hai?' asked Shiv seriously

'Nahi, ye aap bhi janthi hain. Tho main galat kiyun hun aur mujhe aap galat kiyun samajhthi hain? he asked her with a slight touch of anger

'mujhe pata hai..' he continued as he saw Anandi's lips move

'mujhe pata hai ki aapkay saat bohot bura hua. Han lekin iska matlab ye nahi ki aap zindagi ko dusra mauka hi na dain.! '

Anandi looked at him confused and as if in thoughts

'Anandi ji aapnay kithnaay ladkiyon ki madad ki... maine Asha kay baray main suna. Kiya Asha ko fir sey jeenay ka haq nahi tha? tha na aur aapnay , uski chah ko sahih rah dikha ker , ye mumkin kiya' ...kiya tha na' asked Shiv

Anandi looked at the floor

'Asha nay fir sey jeenay ke liye kadam badaya... kya aap jo , har kisi ko himmat sey agay badnay ka updesh dethi hain, aap kay andhar voh dharya nahi hain? ki aap bhi aagay baday?' asked Shiv

'Nahi! 'said Anandi finally
Shiv was taken aback

'Nahi hai mujh main himmat agay badnay ki, kisi aur ko apnay ithnay kareeb anay denay ki.' She said tearfully

'Mujhemain nahi hai ithni himmat ki main kisi aur sey fir pyar karun. ithna pyar ki apnay aap ko bhul jaun aur voh insaan meray is pyar ko khandit kerkay chala jaye. Mujh main ithni himmat nahi hai ki main phir sey ye sabh sah sakun' said Anandi who was now crying earnestly

Shiv felt terrible at his outburst. He hated the sight of Anandi cry. He felt helpless and angry at his own behavior

Loved their interactions so much. Yeh Shiv itna bold nikla ! 😆 Didn't expect itna baat karega.
