Is this really such a big deal if she removed it? Is it so very necessary to make a public declaration about one's marital status in the work place?

Jagya is being over sensitive...there's no big deal in removing MS.Applying sindoor and MS should depend on personal choice.

Even I dont wear sindoor and MS on western dresses it looks odd...My hubby is not even bothered abt these things.

Jagya is just being an MCP thts all.

This is soo wierd !! If a wife wears a mangalsutra then shes a good wife if not then shes not a good wife !!

In this case even men should wear some sign of their marital status !!!

M not a gauri supporter but I guess Cv's are overemphasizing the concept of mangalsutra !!

i don't think ita a huge think now day, jagat is making issue out of this. First he demand modern wife and now he want Traditional elements in them. & i dont think even maglasutra allowed in operation theater. most of the doctors remove there jewelry before operation so what a big deal

Jagya is from village so he will defenitely takes this thing serious
in village after marraige if a women takes out mangalasutra only when her husband is dead or during some poja i dont cleary remember name but its for the health of her husband
since jagya is from village his reaction at the situation was right

Gauri need not wear any symbolic tokens of her marital status as hers is not a marriage at all...socially,morally,legally,ritualistically,culturally or traditionally...

These ritualistic practices are for those who know the significance of it...for the rest its of no use practicing them blindly...

If at all a question arises as to why rituals?, better do research on it to know why & how of it...

Anandi wore a mangalsutra. He NEVER took that seriously or respected it despite being from the village.

it is not so a big deal, but i feel one jaggu is still in denial, he thnks he is sehr wala broadminded modern liberal but deep down the jetsar ladelsar is still dre the need to be taken care of , looked up to , being superior ot wife, having the last word, and more thna that having more losing male ego over doing wifely chores, sitting home while wife is out , he is home!!

also he wants his woman to stay alone and just interact with him, he dsnt like gauri to have her own social circle, own life,independence, at this moment he is insecure of the dr also so he feels removing magalsdutar might send wrong signals ot others and also that is she ashamed to be married to me?

ha Jagya...u leave ur legally lawfully wedded wife and remarry and now u r making a big fuss abt mangalsutra, talk abt double standards...disgusting , infact if men also wore obvious things displaying their marital status, half of the EMAs would not happen in our society , including this story
