okay i got your point...but as personally i don like this different rules for man and woman...i am not married and i don know after my marriage i'll wear those things or not 🤔..MS is not there in our tradition but sindoor is there...also some kind of bangles in ur hand...honestly speaking i really couldn't respect two different rules for two kind of human beings ...why this is only for gals!? 😕 so if i'll wear it i'll wear either i wont want to hurt anyone's feelings or just bcoz gals looks good in sindoor!! but if someday some rules will come that men will also have to wear some chain like MS or may be some ring? then definitely i'll wear it as a symbol of love! 😛
so here i am in team gauri...not bcoz i support what she did..but bcoz i just can't join team jaggya for this particular MS and Sinddor issue! 😛 😆 😆

Yes I did not appreciate Gauri's comments of mangalsutra not matching with the dress comparing it to a beaded necklace. But if she doesn't want to wear it full time its OK

I think jaggu dada reminded Gauri about her mangalsutra because he is very insecure about her relationship with Gauri these days. He do not trust Gauri and thinks that she can go with anyone in the office. (i particular said so because he was staring very badly when Dr Arjun keeps his hand on Gauri's shoulders and Gauri appreciating him).
He himself do not understand the meaning of mangalsutra and sindoor because he cheated on his lawfully wedded wife as well as Gauri too at some point.

I feel for him mangalsutra and sindoor are just things to show female being married so that rest of the public stay away from her and do not flirt with her.

No it's not the least necessary to declare about ones marital status at the work place.

I'm from south India, from a traditional family. My sis wears it everyday..even when she goes to work..whatever dress she wears! But i don't remember when was the last time i wore my MS! Probably a year back in my family wedding, i guess 😆. Forget about Sindoor, we don't apply it hear. Yeah ,i pissed off my parents and in-laws when i didn't wear it initially..but by now they got used to it..or probably they didn't...i'm just happy, that they left me alone!😆😆

I believe it's a personal choice and nothing to disrespect the (half known)traditions. It does not have anything to do with love the girl has on her husband.

Let me clear my pov, my objection is not wearing or removing these symbols, but my objection was on attitude of using it and using tradition for selfish reason. I absolutely agree tht its personal choice, but as.we r discussing here a serial, so we must put our own view on certain events, happening in serial.

As far as I know, mangalsutra is tradionally a maharashtrian & south indian concept, north indians have sindoor as a suhaag ki nishaani. Ekta introduced this thing of all married women wearing both mangalsutra as well as sindoor - otherwise Punjabis, Rajasthanis, bengali, all never wore i!

As much as I have observed, Sumitra, Gehna & Anandi have been shown wearing only sindoor, not mangalsutra...which I think is correct as per rajasthani traditions! Gauri had been given the mangalsutra by Kunda Tai, who was a maharashtrain. Whether or not Gauri continued to wear after she left Kunda Tai house, I don't remember...never observe Gauri so much😆

Now coming to the incident - of course, there is nothing right or wrong - its a matter of your belief. Even my bhabhi wears it only when she wears Indian dresses or when there is any function at home - which is fine by us at home. Jagya made such a big deal out of it bcoz he is going thru a bad phase, an insecure phase. He is right now feeling very inadequate professionally & this increased that feeling of self-doubt.

Personally, I don't have an opinion either ways...but I think Gauri should at least try & put forth her view in a manner more cordial...these days all her sugary talk is a thing of the past!
