Lal singh was indebted to Jagya ... and he never told gauri.
should he have given up his loyalty to Jagya for the broader good of gauri
In hindsight, it doesnt look like it would have mattered, since gauri went ahead and decided to marry him anyway -- so my question is not really tied to the outcome.
From a broader philosophical/ethical sense, if you were in lal singh's position at the time, would you stay quiet because of your loyalty ,... or would you say "loyalty be damned" and let someone know that their future was on the line because of your friend and his lies?

well the thing is that lal singh did have a sense of obligation to jagya. I dont mean loyalty in a strict loyalty sense coming out of respect for the person... but an obligation for fees paid etc. which jagya did for lal singh?

Of course i wud tel infact i wud be first one to tell,i wud tel each n every detail i know becoz i think it wud wrong on my side to keep quiet n let someone life get ruined,n g also was frnd of lal singh so being in his place ,becoz of one frnd i wud nt deceive another,i wud may be nt tel directly may through phone without teling my name or may be i wud tel j s parents before it is too late becoz if ur true frnd goin on wrong path or doing something wrong ,its duty to try sought out .lal singh had gud relation with family too so there is no question of staying out of al dis matter.

In hindsight it wouldnt have mattered but still i had wished then lal singh had writen an anonymous letter to gauri just to assuage his own guilty conciense "That fella you are going out with has a wife stashed up in his village home😈 and is leading a double life, check it out before messing your life--apka shubhchintakk 😎"
😉another copy to anandi,"aapka pati shaher mein rangraliyaan manaa raha hai kisi shahri chori ke saath, uski dhulai karo.😆--aapka 😎shubhchintakk"

Thanks tanvi. appreciate it.
pjyo -- love the concept of two sets of "aapka shubchintak" letters 😆😆
Actually, I am caught in a similar situation - and trying to decide what to do.
A friend who actually pulled me out of a soup a few years ago is in the process of hiding something from another person (whom I dont know at all)
I'd like to let the other person know but that person means nothing to me.
My friend is my friend and did something awesome for me - so I think it would be disloyal.
But in the bigger framework I am concerned for the other person.
However, the only reason I know this is because my friend confided in me otherwise I would have no way of knowing.

oh,stuck between a rock and a hard place tinoo😆..
i would directly shout at my friend if he is wrong,"you shouldnt mess up someones life, iam thankful what you did for me and because of my loyalty to you iam confronting you in the face..jo galath hai woh galath hai chahe tum mere dost ho"...
but thats my personal PoV 🤔

Tinno-dint u ask ur frnd to tel other person the truth ,ur position seems complicated then lal singh, tel ur frnd dat hiding is nt solution for anything.if dat frnd has helped u so much dat u cant tel his secret bt at the same time if 2moro someone life get ruined dnt blame ur self becoz living with guilt wud be even more dificult.see how things take place n acordingly take steps.

well, he's old enough to know that he should be telling the other person.
so telling him is really ridiculous.
It boils down to me and what I need to do really.
did lal singh live with any guilt?
even at the last minute he told her everything, then started to call jagat. it was koyal (his wife) who stopped him.
