Here is my question

Today we see Gauri is a very very confused state

1. She hates Child marriages

2. She endorses child marriages

3. She got married because of child marriage

Her life is going towards Ruins,

Who is responsible for this plight?

my vote goes for Mumbai medical college. The college made Gauri's life so miserable that she started believing he life as a beendni in Singh haveli would have been much better.

her parents for sure. DS was not her relative. she naturally thought abt her family. but G was responsibility of her own parents. it was their choice to accept DS offer or not. DS didnt force thm. so main culprit were her parents.

Her parents - they first forced her into a child-marriage, then they forced her to stand in the panchayat, then they blamed her for the decision of the panchayat, then they deserted her and refused to take her responsibility, and then finally brain-washed her that all the trauma she underwent was because of her in-laws who did not accept her.

Now too they are supporting her and instigating her to set up situations where she will be humiliated by her in-laws and then they turn around and say, "see we told you they are inhuman".

This, even though they know that her marriage is illegal and that she will not be accepted by either a court of law or the village panchayat. In fact if Anandi (or her parents on her behalf), even goes to the Panchayat, the Panchayat can do a social boycott of the Singh family, (Hookah Paani Band) for going against the decision of the Panchayat. And this was a Maha Panchayat (Sarpanches of 5 villages were involved and Sarpanches of 11 villages were witness)

Very interesting post Suchi👍🏼

I will reserve my vote till I see a few more episodes since G life since the breaking of her child marriage till her meeting J is still a mystery. If her parents constantly reminded her of the childhood incident I would blame them. We also do not know what kind of problems the family went through post the marriage break. So I cannot assess her psychology. All that the Cv's have shown is a happy gudiya who was pleased she coud study. if she really was happy that it broke and then decided to make something of her life which she has done, and now jumping into the marriage without thinking I feel it is herself. I say this because she was very normal and a happy girl when she was in Mumbai and if she was all that happy to be able to study I do not understand why she should be sad or for that matter be psychologically unstable.

I will vote (if it is still open) once things are clearer. Until then I will only go by face value of what is being shown.

I would say majorly Gauri herself is responsible for what she is going through today. Ofcourse her parents and DS are partly to blame.

See, her parents tried to get her married off in her childhood, that every family we know in BV did with their children (Singh Parivar, Anandi's family, Phooli's family and others who dont come in the picture). We know it is a horrible tradition but they just did what they were accustomed to. I agree they were wrong in getting her married to a child who was already married but lets say their poverty forced them to do that. Lets assume that.

DS was always in favor of child marriages , thats what she was brought up to believe, thats what happened to here and she did not know better than that due to her lack of education and exposure to better life and marriages.

But Gauri! okay her family had to face some taunts from the society but she grew out of it. She was a normal person who achieved her dream of becoming a doctor. She had good guidance in Bade papa who she trusted and thought of more than her own parents. That says that he was the biggest influence of her life. She did pretty good for herself. But as I mentioned in another thread that I dont see her as a trauma victim, so as soon as she saw a chance to go back into the the family that had rejected her long time ago, her ego just flared up and she went back into that hell to even the score without thinking about her future. Even her uneducated parents had better sense and tried to explain her the consequences of her hasty decision, but she did not listen. She had a perfect oppurtunity to walk away from whatever she is undergoing today. She could have just let bygones be bygones and start a new, good quality life after completing her MS. But she did everything she should not have done. So she only has herself to blame.

Gauri herself!!...nobody is forcing her now, whatever she is going through now is her own doing, khud hi apne pair par kulhari maari hai!!
