I really want Gauri to realize what a mistake she made by marrying Jagya on her own - and how bizarre she acted in wanting to be accepted by the family rather than be her own person.

This way if she is troubled it is because she is being deliberately put through it. I'd rather that just in the normal way of life she realizes that at the end of the day, in spite of whatever humiliation she faced, she got much better chances and lived a much better life than Anandi because she got out of her child marriage. Where is the message if the family is trying to break the relationship?

It'd be a much better test of Jagya's love (which I believe is very shallow) if there was noone trying to interfere.

It would prove a more interesting and positive message.

How unfortunate and what a waste that they decided to go this route

absolutely agree cloudz. I would have loved to see the depth of Jagat's love come out naturally. I dont like this scheming business one bit.

See gauri was totally insecure all by herself there was no family interference at all.

So perhaps DS is telling them to behave the way they would behave with gauri ( which is not accepting her) and gauri willl throw tantrums anyway
