[Episode 73] May 25th, 2016- Such a good start to the episode, that Amrish-Surili scene! ❤️ I loved seeing Surili's more fond side come out of hiding today. It's been quite a while since they last showed one of these conversations. I prefer seeing Amrish and Surili in their bedroom, actually. Since the beginning of the show, I've felt like these two let all pretenses, all facades fall when it's just them, in the privacy of their room, talking. There's a different sort of tone to these nighttime scenes in their bedroom - they feel warmer, more genuine, more relatable. And of course, the nuances. The way Surili watches Amrish and there's a small smile playing on her lips, which she tries not to show; Amrish confidently telling Surili that she'll fall in love with him again tomorrow and her pinching his cheek and replying that she still loves him anyway; the way Surili leans forward to rest against the chair Amrish is sitting on as he talks about letting their daughter go to a new home...Some very, very lovely lines about the mixture of emotions that a daughter's wedding evokes in her parents. This is one of the best Amrish-Surili scenes in the show so far. They are really quite sweet...and I won't stop saying that I adore the way Rajendraji and Pallaviji play off of each other in their scenes! So wonderful!I agree! I think it's good that CVs are reverting back to the original chemistry that exists between the two...we all love the Punjabi sher and Bengali tigress nok-jhoks happening every day, but it's nice to know that deep down, there is a lot of love and respect between these two.@bold: 😳😳😳 Love, love, love your astute descriptions! These are the moments that can actually convince me that Amrish fell in love with Surili for real! Otherwise the way she was being petty with him earlier...- "Yakeen nahi ho raha ki aak iss ghar mein tera last day hai. I'll miss you." And then Shaan bursts out laughing. Oh, man! When he started laughing, I did, too! "Tujhe laga main aisa kuch bolnewaala hoon? No chance!" But honestly, I did think for a minute there that Shaan was expressing some degree of hidden affection for his sister. Neeever mind.- So Shaan does have some kind words for Shogu after all! That was nice to hear, albeit quite unexpected! I also love how Shaan twists that into a more witty, humorous comment in the end. Shaan and Shogu are as similar as they are different, aren't they? Their sibling bond intrigues me more than any other, to be honest. The brother-sister love-hate relationship is so adorable when Shogu is not just out to eat Rajni's head!! She's arrogant as hell but if at least she can lighten up and have fun from time to time, itwould be a lot easier to watch the character...- As the situation stands right now, at the end of the episode, I wouldn't be surprised if someone watching the goings-on in the living room misinterpreted Dev's expressions entirely! Looking at his face, I thought, "You know, someone could think he genuinely doesn't want this marriage to happen for personal reasons, with the way he's so nervously hovering in the background!"I love how Dev is always so shifty about every thing else, but his hatred for Shogu stands so conflicting against him wanting to save her life! Even now he maintains that falling in love with her is like committing suicide...but you still went to save her life, na?😉

[Episode 74] May 26th, 2016- Rajni pretty much personifies the phrase "shifty eyes" in this episode 😆 "Matlab main aapki zindagi ki gadbad hoon. I get it, Shaan." Sharp as a tack, this one! That scene was hilarious!!!! To be frankly honest I couldn't tell if a) She misinterpreted Shaan to mean that Matthew's one gadbad in life was to ask Shaan to make Rajni and then have Shaan lie about her or b) She completely understood the entire thing and extrapolated to herself. Either ways, it's still hilarious! Sharp as a tack is right!Speaking about eyes..."Shaan, mera aankh dhadak rahan hain!!" "Aankh dhadakte nahin hain sir, dil dhadakta hain"🤣- Surprise #1. "Humari list ke hisaab se toh aapka naam married list mein aata hai." Shogata is married? "What is he saying???"- Surprise #2. "Shogata Amrish Kant...married to Devendra Bangdu?!?!?" ("Present!" says Dev. Rajni glances sideways at Dev. Shaan glances at Rajni...Rajni looks away from him) "Who the HELL is this Devendra Bangdu?!" Shaan is looking at Rajni intently...and she is looking at Dev. Dev tries to look inconspicuous - and obviously fails, because Shaan notices his nervous expression. Rajni's like, "Very good, Shaan. My work is done."- Surprise #3. "Tu...Devendra hai?" "...Hoon, lekin main..." Poor, poor Dev! LOL, Shogata's shocked gasp and Rajni's nod of confirmation! "Tumhari shaadi Shogata se hui hai?!" Dev whimpers miserably, Shogu lets out another gasp. "And tumhara surname Bangdu hai?!" Haha, 3 Idiots vibes!
I loved Dev's "Present!" and then subsequently realising what has happened...bechara!"Kab hua, kaise hua, kyun hua..." oh my, I really feel quite bad for Surili! What a shocker!@bold: Very true! I remember Pia (Kareena) going "yuck" when she found out at the end of the movie! But also, could this potentially be a foreshadowing?? Maybe Dev is not the idiot lukkha everyone thinks he is! Maybe he might actually be *the one* for Shogu! The one who can cater to all her whims and fancies!😆😆- Surprise #4. Which is not really a surprise...Rajni was the mastermind behind all of this. I wanted Rajni to keep quiet, but nope, she had to speak up...multiple times! I was mentally banging my head against a wall during the entire episode. "Congratulations, Devendra! Aapki ichcha poori hui!" Oh god, that could have totally been misconstrued in the worst ways possible! Rajniii!Yes and yes!!! What on earth Rajni!! Even Shaan looks confused as to what has happened...what exactly will the family make out of this?? Also, how does everyone think this is some sort of joke and they're all ganging up on Dev? This wasn't just someone forging documents, the computer literally says that they're married! Marriage needs 2 people to happen, so why is Surili getting so mad at Rajni?!? What EXACTLY do they think she could've done??- Oh, but I loved Rajni's line about Shogu's materialistic, snobby nature. Well, that was all implied..."That means agar Dev ka surname Tata ya Ambani hota, toh aapko koi problem nahi hoti! Am I right?" Yep. Hit the nail right on the head! I'm so proud of Rajni for that!- Surprise #5. Shaan doesn't know Dev's last name? Can we have a backstory about their friendship? I would love to know more about how they met and became friends.I really think this friendship exists on a one-sided scale...I think we've all said it several times that while Shaan is a great family man, he's a horrible friend! I think he honestly thinks of Dev as a sidekick in his project, but bechara Dev has considered this a friendship! Also, could we know more about his family? I imagine with this marriage business happening, surely someone would dig deeper into this and realise Rajni isn't his sister!!!- Surprise #6. Matthew's surname is Hudson...and he has a nasty temper. Who would've guessed? "Your whole family is nuts! Tum sab paagal ho!" ...Can't exactly refute him on that, in some respects. Time for reality checks from a complete outsider this time. This was a great scene, honestly. I totally, TOTALLY disagree with Matthew about Amrish. (Loved the sympathetically supportive expression on Surili's face as well as her comforting gesture to Amrish! They are so precious.) Matthew made a good point about Surili's hoity-toity attitude and the utter ridiculousness of the crow, but that insult about her figure was WAY out of line. That was absolutely unacceptable. Ghyaan is like Surili's lap dog, true...But once again, Matthew's insult was a very low blow. Terrible! Dhyaan did make a mess of things with the money fiasco, and I hope he has learned from it!I liked the fact that you mention that there were some truths in Matty's rage-fuelled explosion! To be honest, I actually sympathised with his first outburst because it was supposed to be his wedding day! To come and find out that his girlfriend is apparently already married. Also, everyone spent all their time shouting at one another but not actually trying to figure out what had happened...as much as it sounded mean about their family, I would still say that he's right that they're all pretty crazy😆😆 Rajni truly belongs in this pagal family!I have nothing to add on to what you've said, because it quite forms the crux of what Matthew blabbered about the whole time...he revealed some cold hard truths of the family, but also insulted them at the same time. Case in point, him pointing out Gyaan's devotion to Surili is important, but the line about Kuhu is overboard. He kind of did what Aishwariya had already done, but the important distinction was that she didn't do it out of sheer malice for anyone.- Surprise #7. Shogata...I'm so proud of you...?! 🤔 👏Shogata tries several times to stop Matthew from insulting her family. The further his insults go, the angrier she gets. "Matthew...stop it." "How DARE you! Shogata ki family ke baare mein agar ek word bhi aur bola, na, toh ek aur thappad maar doongi!" I don't know if Shogata's anger is going to trigger an avalanche after this, but wow. I also don't think slapping Matthew was the right way to deal with things, but Shogu was furious and all of that rage came out in full force. She might have a sharp tongue, but I was glad to see her stand up to support her family, no matter how "crazy" they might be. Neha did a fabulous, fabulous job in this scene! The fire in her eyes, the tension in her body language, the dangerously strained tone of voice...Superb stuff! 👏This is one of those rare moments where I genuinely wanted to give her a standing ovation👏👏 She finally showed them that she can put her anger to good use if she wants to! I think the slap for Matthew was warranted in this case, because he really made some low and degrading comments about everyone, including calling all of them cheaters. I think the entire scene and the explosion between the two was going to be inevitable...but it only serves to show incompatible they would've been. Matthew should have trusted Shogu that she has no idea what is happening, instead of believing in a palm reader. On the other hand, Shoguta should have tried to explain to him better that this is all a misunderstanding instead of being focused on the fact that she married a 'Bangdu' man. Rajni served them both up quite well I should say. Of course, as we all know now, Shogu is still pining for him but I will have to give it to her in this scene! Well done Shogu!- Surprise #8. Maggie and Sharmila on the defensive. If these two spent more time trying to be productive members of the household (and society) instead of fighting among themselves, I'd probably like them more. Case in point, this scenario. They stand up for their husbands, I guess, if not their family. Do these two bahus consider the rest of the Kants to be their family? That's a genuine question of mine.I suppose if Shoguta is looking out for the family in this rare moment, the bahus are not one to step back either. Partially the fault also lies in Surili in not making them feel unwelcome in the Kant house at every step, so they are always threatened by Rajni and Amrish's unwavering love for her.- "Yeh tha ji uska class! Usse zyaada classy toh yeh truck driver hai!" WORD. Amrish Kant is the definition of "simple living, high thinking" even though he has a mansion and a thriving business. He doesn't look down on others, he tries to support his family, and he doesn't step back when a tough decision has to be made. The way I see it, true classiness is not about making others look inferior. It's about being confident in oneself without hurting others.- "Rajni...serious moment." Yeah. I was pretty much rolling my eyes at Rajni's spectacularly ill-timed comments, too. Poor thing doesn't know any better. She's adorable, but man, what a bad day to be an unassuming, well-meaning robot.Quite true! I think it was clever on the show's part to show that Rajni's usual comments are rather misplaced in this situation. She has seen the family in their happy and sad times, but she definitely doesn't know how to react in anger. I think it's high time you retuned her a bit, Shaan! Also, it was quite interesting to see their robot-master quotient again, as Shaan quietly commanded her to adopt a sad face and she changed herself per his request.- Surprise #9. Dev wanted to find his perfect match using a marriage agency? I didn't see that one coming! Aww, poor Dev! And LOL at the irony of him wanting a "pari jaisi" wife. Well, she is very pretty...but she's more like a tigress. Striking, stunning...with a fierce temper.Hayee phas gaya re Dev!😆😆 @Tigress: Very right! Maybe he will have to take a leaf out of Amrish's book on how to handle a tigress as effectively as Amrish has!- Surprise #10. Rajni is able to hack into computer systems, but she doesn't realize that Dev is talking on the phone, not to her? Oh, Rajni. Awesome tech skills, but this has put everyone into difficult positions. And thus, the story moves forward!

[Episode 75] May 27th, 2016- Shaan and Dev's arguments are so amusing to me! They both end up ranting and Shaan ultimately wins, pretty much every time, LOL. These guys are such a great brOTP!"Tu phut!" "TU phut!" What an argument!😆😆 Poor Dev, he has become Shaan's jeeja and still no respect! On a side note, so that means that Shoguta is older than Shaan! That explains why Rajni calls her didi. So, Gyaan > Shogu > Shaan > Dhyaan. Good to know.I feel quite bad for Dev though...he did all this to presumably save Shogu's life, and yet Shaan completely bashes him up for what was actually Rajni's misunderstanding! Bhalai ka zamana hi khatam ho gaya hain😕😕- Goofy Matthew has now become Menacing Matthew...and I'm really very worried for Shaan, Rajni, and Dev, too. Matthew lured Dev to his house somehow and won't let them go...Dev isn't an actual robot, Rajni is. But Shaan is stuck between a rock and a hard place, having lied about both of their identities. Yikes, this just gets more and more complicated!I am honestly in confusion as to how bhola bhala Matthew, who used to move around like Shogu's pet poodle, turned into such a cunning man?? To be frank, Shoguta hasn't treated him too well since the very beginning, but he never once made a noise about it. In fact, he even praised Rajni for the water incident against Shogu's anger!! Is this really the same man? Did one slap seriously remove all traces of love for Shogu from him? While on that topic, what exactly made him fall for her in the first place? He's just as rich, if not more, than her, so I don't think it is money. He also didn't know about Shaan being her brother so it isn't Rajni related...I honestly don't see what he saw in her at first, and I don't understand how it left him so quickly whereas Shogu is still reeling from this whole fiasco...- LOL, the Kants in the living room, trying to discuss the court marriage mishap! I thought it was pretty funny how Amrish and Ghyaan were told to lower their voices, but everyone had to tell Dhyaan to speak louder. Amrish has a point about Matthew's true colors starting to show now...Dev might be too good for Shogata, but I am apprehensive about her going back to Matthew. I really hope she doesn't. Oh, and that group hug at the end of the scene was quite sweet. It looks like Shogu's going to be stuck with Dev for a while, at least. I'm actually looking forward to this.- Random aside. The music during the bit where Rajni picks up Surili's ring is really pretty. At that point, I was ready to punch a pillow out of frustration because Rajni's battery was going to die at any second...but that music IS really nice!I think they've got a really good team of songwriters/composers who seem to put in the right tunes in the right atmosphere. Speaking of music, so was the one when Matthew introduces Dev as Shaan's robot, and Shaan is just..."Heh?"
