Had loved Nakuul and Disha in PKDH and Adi and Panku were just ❤️ I couldn't get around to watching BALH2 sooner and it is just now I started watching BALH2 and have few questions. Hope somebody can help me with the answer 😊

1. I get it Mahendra Sood was crazy about having a son and he ditched Meera for that. But y does he hate Priya so much? He may not love her but at the end of the day, he is her father. How can a father want to see their child suffer and die? 🤢 Is there any specific reason y he hates Priya so much? He has 3 more daughters but he doesn't spew venom on them
2. Why did Vedika marry Shashi? She did seem to love Ram when he was poor. It was not like Ram was rich but got poor later that led to Vedika dumping him. So y marry Shashi?
3. Why did Maitri marry Neeraj? Did Neeraj cheat on Priya with Maitri?
4. Does Nandini have an iota of love towards Ram? I know Ram is a golden goose for her. But after she had that chat with Priya, she did seem to care for him even though she loves her own children more. Or is she the evil stepmom who will chase her son away at the drop of a hat once she gets what she wants?

So, soods were expecting son, and pri was born🤣… Pri was the one to find out his Rakhi and her being pregnant… She stood up to him repeatedly for her family, as her other family members were seeda… she said this the first time she was drunk… Also, MS , isn’t a Human, forget being called as a father…

V is well, an enigma… her backstory is still being deduced by fans and cvs 🤣… also, ram had his affluent albeit not ultra rich father initially, but after his father’s death, his situation went from that to straight on donkey work of trying to establish everything from scratch… so that might be the reason..

Read about Narcissistic abuse , Sood girls had a narcissistic father, any good attention would seem like someone is trying to take advantage of them… any limited responsibility shared is a huge ehsaan… so when pri was dating N, shayad, these minuscule qualities and actions of N attracted Maithri as well… also, Pri broke up with N, later Maithri eloped with him … after that, Pri supported Maithri, but is still hurt…

Does Nandini have an iota of love towards Ram? I know Ram is a golden goose for her. But after she had that chat with Priya, she did seem to care for him even though she loves her own children more. Or is she the evil stepmom who will chase her son away at the drop of a hat once she gets what she wants? This is still in question… she isn’t completely evil… but an insecure step mom , I suppose…

Doc has answered all of your questions. About Pri and MS, we have been given contradicting statements about when his affair was discovered, but one consistent thing is that it was Pri who found it and told her mother. I would reiterate doc’s character analysis of MS, I consider him as the worst character in this show, he is evil just for the sake of evil and Pri is the only person who dares to question in the Sood household,

About Nandu, many of us here like her, hence we would like her to be just an insecure, selfish, control freak stepmom.

Good to see you here. I am watching BALH2 too. Loving Nakuul and Disha as Ram and Priya. (RaYa are a treat to watch, but the current parallel tracks could be better 😅)

You have answered really well, esp the third one. I finally understood why Priya fell for Neeraj, and why Maitri fell for him too. Somehow, it did not make sense before until the dots were connected.

I would like to add my 2 cents about Nandini, for the last question. In the previous episode, I also felt that Nandini became a little emotional, her eyes were brimming with tears, when Priya asked if Ram wasn't her son just because she didn't give birth to him, did Ram ever treat her and her children anything less than his own family... I think deep down Nandini knows that Ram really loves them unconditionally. Somewhere Nandini also loves Ram, like a son, but as a son who she could never call her own, owing to her insecurities. Which is why she felt the need to manipulate Ram into loving her and her kids for the last 15 years. She did not believe Ram could love and support them without any manipulation. (and she still feels this way... I wonder if she manipulated VK into marrying her. 🤦🏻‍♀️) The way Nandini has manipulated and controlled Shivi's life, and gaslit Shubhu to break his own sister's wedding, and separate RaYa (for property, or whatever reasons), she also has all the signs of a Narcissistic parent. Effects of her narc abuse can also be seen on Ram.

I feel Nandini's insecurities make her more lethal as a Narc personality that she is. Which is why, although she (possibly) has some iota of love for Ram, she will not think twice before harming him for her selfish reasons or for her kids. Much like how Kaikeyi turned out in Ramayana (sorry for drawing parallels, but couldn't help 😆).

Pri was still the 2nd child na? After her, Maitri and Sandy were born. So y isn't MS miffed with them? His hatred towards Priya is something I cannot understand. That man is despicable for sure but he will walk away with the World's Worst Dad trophy if there was one. He will be the unanimous winner coz no one can compete with him.

Saw a fb scene where Ram proposed Vedika and he looked like a middle class boy. So when she loved him despite being rich, y dump him later coz he wasn 🤔

Nandini is a conundrum. She reminds me of Farida from Humsafar (Fawad Khan show). Caught it on Netflix while it was still available. The story might not be the same but the characterization is so similar. In that show the female lead, Khirad is a lot like Priya. She would have seen a lot of struggles and will be bitter towards life coz she is practical. She marries her rich cousin even though she will not be interested for the sake of her mother. She would have been distant with him. The hero too would have married her coz of his dad. But slowly the two fall in love and the female lead starts to warm up towards him. She stops being her sulky self and becomes more cheerful. But after some misunderstandings arise between them coz of the hero's mom (here u will not know the hero's mom is bad till the revelation) they part and she goes back to being the bitter person. I kinda have a feeling this might take the same route here. Nandini will surely drive them apart one day and Priya will get more bitter Hope thats not the case though.

Thank you 🤗 So Pri found out about the affair and thats y this man hates her? MS has no conscience and after yesterday's episode, I have a hunch Neeraj is also involved in VK's death.

We should not underestimate Nandu coz she will most likely cause a rift in RaYa's relation.

Hi Tiara 🤗 Long time! How r u? 🤗 happy to see u too! Nakuul and Disha were good as Adi Pankhudi in PKDH and I am pleasantly surprised to see their growth as actors. Nakuul got famous post Ishqbaaz but I never felt drawn towards it and I felt it was all hype. I never followed any of Disha's shows post her debut. I started watching BALH2 just recently. Nakuul has come a long way as an actor and so has Disha! So glad EK made this show with them.

I do like the parallel tracks but MS is an eye sore. Where is Brinda though? I really loved her character. Hope the actress hasn't quit. She is one of the strong supporting character. I loved the bond between Sara and Priya, Ram and his friends. Everyone needs such friends, they are just ❤️

Well said about Nandini 👍🏼 Yeah even I felt Nandini was genuine when she acknowledged Priya but the very next scene she is fuming with her useless SIL, Meetu or whatever she is called. She should have realised Ram would have loved her regardless. I guess if there were ever a scenario where she got into trouble and Shubhu ignored her while Ram came to her rescue, she might truly start loving her. She is blinded by the love she has for her own kids. About Nandu and VK, was there ever a mention of their past? I have not caught up with all the episodes yet. Shivi still seems like a good person though she can be shallow at times. Unlike Shubhu, she does seem to love Ram. Shubhu will not think twice before abandoning his mother, forget Ram. A guy like him can never be faithful to anyone.

While the obvious choice to draw parallels from would be Ramayan, other than the male lead being called Ram and him having a step family, I cannot see any other similarity. For instance Kaikeyi truly loved Ram more than her own son till Manthara spoilt her head. And all of Ram's siblings loved him unconditionally. Here toh while Shivi loves him to some extent, she is selfish and Shubhu toh never truly cared for Ram. Sita grew up in a household full of girls but they had an amazing father. Sita was a cheerful person. And heaven forbid it takes that route I cannot see Ram abandoning Priya in such a horrible manner. She is no Sita to pick up the pieces of her life again and start on a positive note. She will never get over Ram's betrayal.

My mom used to watch PKDH back then, I used to catch few Adi-Pankhudi scenes here and there. I haven't followed much of Disha's shows, but I had seen a bit of SSO in IB. You are right, Nakuul and Disha have grown so much as actors. It's like we are watching a grown up Adi and a grown up Pankhuri 😆 as Ram and Priya. It feels so soothing to watch them again after all these years. <3

Sorry, but I am lot liking the parallel tracks as much: The idea behind the track is nice, solving VK's murder mystery, changing dynamics in RaYa's family as RaYa's relationship gets mature, return of Varun. But I am not liking how the track is getting executed. It feels like the track is all over the place. There are contradicting flashbacks and timelines due to confusing backstories. For example, one time Ram identified his father's body at the hospital, the other time police called him to the accident site. Half the time, audience are supposed to solve the puzzle of their backstories. Some characters that could be more constructive, feel useless because they aren't contributing to their potential in the story. At least, until now, Ram and Priya's character arcs are going nicely. I like Ram's friends too, they are so sweet, and care for Ram. 😳 Brinda is one such adorable character, a true friend for RaYa. Actually, both Brinda and Kunal are missing. Instead we have got Varun and Krish. 😅
