Ok, my theory.
What if Kapoor, babbar and Kumar(fishes) were friends who worked with/for Ram's maternal grandfather's company(shark). Since he had only one daughter so all three friends thought that one will marry her and gain access to the business and all three will live luxuriously.
VK was the more bright, smart and intelligent one and was able to impress Ram's mother and grandfather. Ram's parents got married but after marriage VK fell in love with his wife, had ram and decided to ditch his friends! For years they tried to get VK back into their plan but when VK's wife got pregnant again babbar and kumar decide that they will take matters into their own hands.
So, they took Ram's mother and they killed her or she died from labour pain on her way and they gave the kid in an orphanage. They panicked and barried her in an open land near by. VK has been constantly trying to find what happened with his wife but when police turned empty handed he accepted that she died in an accident and the body is Missing.
Then comes nandini in the plan, she was one of their friends/distant relative/hired girl to get them access to the property. But after the marriage she had her own kids too and couldn't get them access.
With time VK got to know about his first wife and kid. And he bought this land in the pretense of a gift to nandini, everyone panicked and decided to get the land from him by hook or by crook, so started to threaten him but when he didn't give up easily they planned his murder through MS.
Now, after his death they got the investigation closed bcz they had influence. But with that came the information that the entire wealth for which they did all this belongs to only Ram's mother and VK never had any influence on the property since the second child is given away nandini decided to play a good step mother for her children's sake until ram inherites everything.
With time ram only gained more power, nandini started to fear more about the past so kept him stuck on vedika. But then came priya, whose presence started to (un) tangle some old threads.
Krish got adopted into a Dixit family but when he grew up his adopted parents told him the truth and he decided to investigate his past. That way he got to know that he is Ram's Kapoor long lost biological brother, and now he wants to protect his brother from the people who killed their parents.
This way it will make sense about ram and vedika's past too. Vedika tried to stick with ram on her father's influence but she actually loved shashi and got impatient and married shashi and told ram that this is what her father wanted. But when shashi went bankrupt so she decided to use ram as her father always wanted her to do. Bcz after Ram only his kids will have all the money????😅😅😅😅😅
