It's the day of shubu' s birthday,

Ram and Priya were waiting for everyone to come and join for the breakfast. When ram saw shubu joining them for the breakfast, he wished him a very happy birthday in return Ram got a sullen thanks, Ram just smiled. Shubu just nodded for Priya's wish. Everyone started having their breakfast

Nandhini: ram are you busy today?

Ram: yes mom I have an important meeting today.

Nandhini: what are you saying Ram it's your brother's birthday and there are so much arrangements need to be done. You have to be here to manage everything so cancel your meeting and take care of this ram. I will be stressed out if you don't stay with us.

Priya got angry at the audacity of nandhini but kept quiet and observed everything silently.

Ram: ok mom.i will ask adi to handle the meeting.

Nandhini: thank you so much ram. Priya you can also help Ram with the arrangements afterall you are the Bahu of this house.

Priya: No aunty...,I mean mom, sorry I can't, as I have an important seminar today which I can't miss. I have to get going as i am getting late. I know Mr. Kapoor will take care of everything.good day everyone

Saying so she excused herself and went upstairs to get her bag.

Ram sat there looking at her retreating figure. He slightly smiled thinking his Priya's reply as she actually have taken leave today as there was some workshop in her institute and she was not needed there. When the seminar she was telling actually took place on the day before his birthday not even on his birthday but she took leave without any second thought to do the prep work for his birthday. Ram learnt the matter through vikranth who is now in touch with twinkle. His heart leaped in joy as this only meant his importance in her life and he know She just replied like that to nandhini because of their indifference to his feelings.

He saw Priya coming downstairs with her bag, thinking where is she going now.

Ram: mom I will drop the file in office and come, so that adi can handle the meeting.saying so he followed Priya without waiting for nandhini's reply.

Nandhini got irritated but kept quiet and went way.

Ram: Priya ruko,priyaaa,arey ruko na yaar...

Priya : kya hai Mr. Kapoor.

Ram: where are you going now?

Priya : where will I go at this time?

Ram : I can clearly remember about your leave ,so tell me

Priya just kept quiet

Ram: ok come with me

Priya: I'm not going to help you with any of today's party arrangements.

Ram: Even I will not allow you to do any work.just come with me.

Ram took Priya to Brindha's house and asked both of them to enjoy the spa treatment that he have booked for them. I will take care of the arrangements. You girls can enjoy your day. After bidding a bye to both of them, Ram got into his car

Priya: Mr. Kapoor ,

Listening to Priya's voice he stepped out of the car

Ram: kya hua Priya, why are you shouting

Priya : I will come with you as i' m not interested in these spa treatments.

Ram knew Priya is saying this as she thought that he have to do all the work alone.

Ram: Priya relax, I want you to go and get pampered. Don't think anything about work as there are so many people who will do all the job. I just have to speak to incharge of the event management once. That's all then even I'm going to take rest myself.saying this he slightly winked at her.

Priya smiled seeing this mischievous side of him.

After seeing Priya's smile , ram bid her a bye and went to home. While brindha and Priya went to parlour.

Ram went to house and started taking care of everything.

After having lunch,ram went to his room to ask adi about the meeting.

Shubhu and his friends were talking by sitting in the living room couch, when a person came with two parcel, each of them was gift wrapped neatly. The person stood at the doorstep and was speaking to someone in his phone. Shubu who saw the man went to him

Shubham: who are you? What are you doing here with this boxes?

The person: sir Mr. Kapoor have ordered this yesterday in our shop and made a special request to get it ready as soon as possible. That's why I am waiting for Mr. Kapoor who asked me to wait here.

Shubham who saw the parcels were gift wrapped thought it was gift for him, so he started opening the parcel. While the person tried to stop but shubu being shubu never listened,

When he opened it was a huge portrait, which had the picture(that ram took in terrace on next morning of his birthday) of Ram,his friends and Priya's family. It was actually painted , whoever done the painting have done a wonderful job as it looked so realistic and Even the minute details of everyone's face expression in their sleep were taken care of.

Shubam just kept looking at it without knowing what to do as somewhere he felt little jealous of the people in the picture.

At the same time, Ram came down to get the parcel as he wanted to give this as a surprise for Priya. Was surprised seeing shubu have opened.

Ram: arey shubu, why did you opened it. It's not for you.Now how will I repack it.

Ram called tharun to rewrap it, before tarun can take away the frame. Priya who entered the mansion ,started walking straight towards her husband thinking what is he doing holding a huge photo frame.

Priya: Mr. Kapoor what is in your hand

By asking this she tried to take a glimpse of what is in it

Ram: kuch nahi, bas aise hi

Priya: arey, show me Mr.Kapoor

Saying so she turned the portrait towards her.

She was awestruck looking at the picture. It was painted in such a realistic way. But Priya was confused as she didn't know when did that happened, actually no one except Ram know about their sleeping style.

As only ram say that position, because everyone woke up at the same time startled due to his shouting. So everyone was unaware of the picture he had taken.

Priya: Mr. Kapoor, yeh sab kab..

Before Priya could finish ram exlpained the scene.

Priya listened to him still not believing what she saw in the picture.

One glimpse at the picture anyone can understand the warmth and love they shared. It just looked surreal.

Seeing Priya standing still in her thoughts,

Ram: Priya go upstairs and get freshen up for the party and tharun take this with you safely and keep it in our room.

Priya nodded as she saw shubam staring blankly at them and the person who brought this waiting for his cheque.

Ram gave the cheque to that person and thanked again for the wonderful job in the short span of time.

Ram: you should've asked before opening it shubu, as it is not for you.

Saying so he went upstairs.

Unknowingly Shubu compared his friends with Ram's. In the back of mind he know which one is filled with love but he felt safe to be in Denial.

Ram came inside their room to see Priya still smiling looking at the portrait which was now kept in bed. Seeing Ram

Pri: Mr. Kapoor this is just beautiful

Ram: kya yaar ,shubu neh sab kuch mess up Kiya. I was so excited to see your reaction when you open the gift wrap and see it yourself

Pri: Mr.kapoor this is also perfect as you were there.

Ram smiled and said

Ram: yeah I'm happy that I got to see your reaction but still more happy because there is a one more gift which you can open.

Ram gave another gift and asked to open it.

Now Priya know that was also portrait but little small in size compared to the opened one.

Priya opened the gift and saw it was a picture of her and her husband sleeping in the their mother's lap with Meera ma's hand in either of their head while Ram is holding Priya's hand tightly in his sleep.

Priya looked amazed by the hand painted portrait once again. It was done in perfection.

Ram loved Priya's expression as it reflected her emotions which mirrored his when he saw this picture in his phone while surfing through the photos yesterday in the office.

So he immediately searched for a best painting place and placed the order immediately.

Ram know brindha would have taken that as she is one who thinks his phone is handy.

Glad that she took the photo in his phone.

Priya and ram both smiled happily looking at each other.

Ram: we will hang it in the wall opposite to our bed Priya, so that we can see this as the first thing in the morning.

Priya: you're right Mr. Kapoor. Even I thought the same.

Then Mr and Mrs. Kapoor together hanged both the portraits neatly.

Priya stood admiring the portraits, while Ram side hugged her happily.

And there stood Mr and Mrs. Kapoor happy and satisfied in their own little world.

Ram saw Priya who was all smiles seeing the portrait. Suddenly he felt so protective of them. He vowed to himself that he will protect the smiles on their face at any cost.

That's when tharun came and informed that nandhini asked them to get ready and come fast as the party will be started in soon.

Ram: Priya lets get ready otherwise we will get late.

Both got ready and is surprised seeing each other as both of them wore the dress they bought on the mall for eachother. What surprised both was they wore it coincidentally not by planning.

Priya wore the elegant midnight blue saree with a medium sized jhumka along with her mangalsutra and chooda.

Both complemented eachother so well. Priya was mesmerized seeing her husband as he was wearing the formals without his blazer with first two buttons in open and to top it with he is still wearing the gold chain she gifted him which is now visible due to him not wearing his blazer.

Ram smiled seeing her reaction because he understood Priya's dislike for his blazer from the interaction they had in the shopping mall.

He loved the effect he had on her.

Ram slightly nudged Priya which bought her out of the lalala land she was in. Priya turned tomato red as she was openly checking him out.

Ram side hugged her and told

Ram: I'm all yours Priya but now we are getting late of the party. So

Saying he left the sentence hanging

Priya felt shy and started walking towards the door after lightly shrugging his hands from her shoulder but felt little disappointed as he never complemented her.

Ram again dragged her into his embrace and whispered in her ears you are looking exceptionally beautiful Mrs.Ram Kapoor. She closed her eyes sensing his breath. She looked so innocent and Ram can't help himself, but place a soft kiss on top of her head which made her to open the eyes.

She saw him looking at her with all his love and for the first time she hugged him without any inhibition.

In each other's embrace they felt alright , everything seemed beautiful,their struggles felt worth and their wandering souls finally reached home.

They both came together downstairs for the party, brindha was the first one to see them.

Brindha cheered loudly seeing them complementing each other completely, listening to her cheer everyone turned and saw them.

Vik, Kunal whistled while adi alone clapped because whistling is not his cup of tea,seeing Ram who looked carefree with his dressing after a very long time as he would always dress up in a sophisticated manner.

At the initial time of his business, he hated wearing these business suits,but later he got used to it and then never ever they saw him without the blazer. He started living mechanically like robot but now they can see the positive changes in him which only made them more protective of Priya as she is one bringing back the ram they know.

Both Mr and Mrs. Ram Kapoor slightly blushed by their teasing. Ram straightened himself and went to his friends

Ram: what are you doing guys? Behave.

They just laughed

Ram: Guys Remember this is not our party so we should be in low key.

Ram said as he saw his mom's face which expressed her distaste for his friends but this time Ram felt fiercely protective for his friends feelings,he didn't want his mom to hurt their friends.

Seeing Ram turning serious,they agreed and diverted the topic but they can sense some changes in his behaviour which is for good.

They party have started, Ram was introducing his wife to some of his business partners.

That is the time Priya's family entered, Meera ma looked around and noticed her daughter standing near her husband with a small smile on her lips. Sara kept a hand in her mother's shoulder to give a emotional support.

Meera ma: finally I will be able to sleep peacefully without worrying for Priya's married life.

Sara: haan ma, Priya got the life she deserved. We don't have to worry about her anymore.

At same time Priya say them and excused herself followed by Ram.

Priya felt like getting her mother's blessing ( she don't know the reason herself) but she want to get as she is genuinely happy today.

Priya bend down to touch her mother's feet, at the same time Ram to touched Meera ma's feet as he always wished her in this way.

Both were shocked but smiled seeing eachother.Then both got their mother's blessing together.

Meera felt more happy today than the day Priya got married. She blessed wholeheartedly and this time with haq she asked them to make her Nani soon.

The couple was shocked with her demand,they blushed slightly and sprinted away mumbling something. What suprised both Ram and Priya was Meera ma' s demand for grandchild didn't make them feel awkward infact it made them feel happy.

Meera laughed seeing her children finally getting the happiness they deserved and thanked the god for this.

The party is in full swing,

Ram and his battalions have occupied the last table in the party hall and enjoying their time to the fullest, they were teasing ,then gossiping and doing Masti to their fullest. They felt light at heart, they felt like a teenager's after a long time.

Everyone in the party looked at them atleast once and smiled because they seemed like having different party altogether.

What surprised everyone in the party was Ram, they all know Ram is quite jovial with his friends but never once anyone noticed him as this fun loving guy. They got to see a new side of him which is very casual otherwise he will behave all sophisticated in every place.

Shubhu's mami instigated nandhini showing ram look how happy he is looking with Priya.

Nandhini got irritated seeing that gang especially seeing shivi them.

She decided to show Priya her place.

Shubham was busy taking with his friends who after sometime went to have a drink. He decided to talk to shivi , as he never saw shivi again after her wishing him a happy birthday.

He searched for her that's when he saw the scene unfolding which made his belly churn.

Sara,sandy,Priya,shivi,Meera ma ,mama, mami, Kunal were sitting the chair (the table was round in shape) while Ram,akki, adi,vik were standing near the table. From what he saw, it looked like they were teasing among themselves,shubhu can't hear them as he stood in distance and watched the scene, Ram teased sandy to which she made a crying face while Sara gave a hifi to ram for his teasing, seeing this brindha teased Sara which made shivi to give a hifi to brindha,so akki teased shivi which made ram to give a hifi to akki as his sister looked so worked up, finally Priya teased Ram which made shivi to hug Priya while adi, Kunal ,vik to come and give Priya a hifi. Seeing Ram's irritated face everyone started laughing.

Seeing their bond, happy face, he felt emptiness around him. So he went away without talking to shivi.

When it was time to cut the cake, everyone came and stood near the podium for the cake cutting,shivi's mami came and dragged shivi to the podium while shivi took akki along with her. While Ram didn't feel like going to the podium so he stood with Priya's family and his friends. This shocked Ram's friends as every year they would request him to not go there, because never once they fed him a piece of cake or gave a hug. He will always stand there with a fake smile plastered and see them feeding each other. Then Ram will gift him something luxurious everytime which shubhu will take without even appreciating it. They(adi,bri,Kunal,vik) turned to guage Ram' expression but got happy seeing him talking to Priya without any care in the world.

When shubu started cutting the cake, the loud cheers were made by his friends gang which surprised Ram as they will never come anywhere near the podium as they hate it,only bri will stand unwillingly for him but now they were so into the celebration and cheering super loudly Ram's shaked his head smiling at their craziness little did he know that they were busy cheering for their best friend's happiness rather than some cake cutting.

After cutting the cake shubu fed cake to his mom and sister,they to fed him in return. Then shubu went on to feed mama, mami and half heartedly fed akki to. While shubu was feeding others shivi took a huge piece of cake and fed Ram at first,then her bhabhi.

Ram felt really touched as shivi never fed him even when he was standing next to her all these years but now she came to him leaving everything made him tear up little but he maintained it with a smile in his face. His friends were happy seeing the positive changes in shivi. The only person not happy with the change was her mother nandhini.

One by one all went to give their presents to shubu.

Priya and Ram went together followed by his friends to the podium.

Nandhini signalled mami to speak,

Mami: Priya what gift did you bring to give your devar. Kahin dinner set toh nahi layi na

Everyone got irritated with her, brindha got ready to give a reply, but laughed at the reply Priya gave to mami in her no nonsense style.

Priya: nahi par aap ko chaiyeh to aapke birthday par lekar zaroor de dunga. Which made mami to stare at her, while nandhini got angry.

Saying so she took out a small red colour velvet box with a satin ribbon tied on it and was going to give it to shubam. Nandhini interupted her

As it looked like a jewel box, Nandhini thought it as gold jewellery so she started speaking with an innocent face.

Nandhini: it's not necessary Priya , why are straining yourself to gift shubu anyways shubu does not like to wear things made of gold and the things he like are super luxurious which I know you can't afford that so rehne do beta.

Their friends got super angry at nandhini's remark. They can't speak anything as ram don't like talking back to his mom but got the shock of their life.

Ram: Are you kidding mom? Ofcourse she can afford anything. Actually there in no need for her to afford,she just have to think what she want. Afterall she is

Priya Ram Kapoor. I'm working this hard for her,then why can't see afford.This topic is damn silly mom.

Nandhini was shocked to see this side of Ram as he was not the one to reply her that too in this way so she just managed the situation by simply smiling.

After this,Ram signalled Priya to give the box. Priya did as he said.

Shubu opened it to find a key in it.

Ram: That's the latest sports car you wanted shubu.yeh gift Priya aur meri tharaf se . Saying this he wished him a happy birthday then following ram, Priya to wished him

Priya: happy birthday shubam,hope all your dreams come true.

What surprised them was shubu's reply

Shubham: Thank you bhabhi and thanks to you also Bhai.

Saying this shubu gave a small smile which made Ram and Priya to smile in return.

Nandhini got more irritated with shubu and gave him a angry stare.

Shubhu didn't feel bad for his mom's stare as he felt his mom was wrong this time.so he did what felt right to his heart not what his mother asked him. He did feel better seeing his Bhai and bhabhi smiling when they got down from the stage.
