There are some people who spend more than what they earn and some people who believe in saving for the rainy day. Priya's family come in the second category.

@vaidharbhi95, @luvalways - yea I agree with you that it is a personal choice and a matter of budgeting. I just found it stale and yet another drama ep idea lifted from ZGH. frankly, I am kind of bored. my immediate thought was that she is a professor and she should have been working for a few years enough to start paying EMI and upgrade the house. not only her, akki has been working as a trainer. however, they want to keep pushing this type of ZGH / Kashaf narrative. it is just not working for me and instead, I wish the writers would write something new. if the generator had failed or the a/c was broken or the phase wasn't working, the scenes could have been really amusing. instead, I was bored. I will keep watching this week. if things are still the same, I might end up just dropping this. oh well.

and does anyone know that this keeping ice in front of fan works as a cooler? just curious!

Btw yes, it does work. Well she isn’t shown in a middle class family, she actually belongs to a lower middle class family based on there income status.

I am ok, with these financial/status struggles they are showing. But they could have tweaked the father -daughter equation. It suited in ZGH, but not much here IMO. Something like a toxic father, or someone who is partial between son-daughter etc.

I also don’t have an AC at home and it isn’t because we can’t afford it but we just didn’t bother to get one. ACs also consume a lot of electricity so I know several people who don’t have one too

yea, it does feel very half-baked here. the relationship and the dynamics itself are all over the place. for example, if they are not having a good relationship, why on earth would they be running a bakery together? that is not logical. obviously he would be taking all the profits. so in that case, why are they slaving over a business where he is not contributing, not paying the EMI and they are doing all the work for free? so things like this make no sense.

there is nothing wrong with being inspired per se - I have seen remakes of the same drama in several languages and each has been entertaining. so it is possible to take stuff from here and there and write a good drama. the creative team seems to be doing a poor job. I really want to enjoy this drama more and so it is a bit frustrating.

Oh god, come on! They’re sharing the cafe coz both Meera and MS paid for it equally long time back to get some good regular money. Once Meera and MS separated, the cafe was the only income source for Sood sisters so Sara took the responsibility since she was good with cooking probably and wanted to stay engaged with something instead of being around her useless husband at home. The bakery might have started running well and hence MS didn’t want to leave any scope of getting money from any source since he didn’t have any stable source of income and Sood sisters didn’t have enough money to fully own the cafe.

This was shown so many times in BALH2, how hard is it to believe it. Priya, in fact, recently talked about it too during her marriage track when they showed a flashback of her winning debate competition and college topper trophy. Stop these constant comparisons with ZGH and for heavens sake watch the full episode before spreading this negativity 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

The bakery was shared because it was bought at a time when the girls were just studying. They did show that Meera sold her jewellery to invest in it.

There has been no talk about how the profits are divided so I have no idea how did anyone reach the conclusion that MS takes it away. They might be equally divided too.

Fun fact, teaching faculty in India is not paid in lakhs. They barely make money and just about survive. Remember Super 30? It did show how less the teachers/professors in India make. They have to invest from their pockets at times to teach the students.

Priya earns but it is barely enough for the whole family. Sandy started to work just now.

Akshay was struggling to find work in movies and he is a part time trainer. It's not his actual profession.

Plus Priya pays for the Bakery loan too.

Cut them some slack please. Not having an AC isn't a big deal. Please!

the comparisons to ZGH is the creatives fault. they don't have to keep lifting stuff and reminding viewers of the drama. shrug.

but I also understand the frustrations of fans who are enjoying while others like me who want to enjoy it but aren't really able to. any drama will have loops but you can ignore them if you are enjoying it. if you are not enjoying it, then all the lapses in logic annoy you. so I will quietly exit the discussion and let you all enjoy.

Frankly I don’t think creatives are at fault here. Probably you are just trying g to draw more similarities from ZGH or finding unnecessary loopholes/lapses coz your reasoning/logic just doesn’t sound justifiable and logical.

At the end it’s your decision but this is how it is.
