Part 11:

Priya and Karthik got into the car. The Sharmas reached home in the next 15 minutes.

Priya texted Ram: "Reached home. Good night, sleep well :)"

Ram was waiting for her text...not that she was asked to inform him..par usko

yakeen tha ki message ayega...aur aa gaya. He smiled. And replied: "Great! Really

enjoyed your company."

Priya alarm set kar rahi thi subah ke liye, utne me message dekha. She

replied: "Me too."

Aur phone rakh diya bagal me. Sone hi lagi thi, utne me ek aur sms aaya Ram

ki taraf se: "Had a fantastic time with you"

Priya ne patiently uska bhi reply diya: "Me too."

Within 2 mins fir se beep hua Priya ki phone...fir se Ram ka message tha: "I

admire you."

Priya rubbed her sleepy eyes, pushed her hair back and replied to him: "Me

too."

One more message came: "Hope you know now that I like you a lot"

Priya took a deep breath. She was enjoying the way her man was flirting.

Usne reply kiya: "Me too." And smiled.

Priya stayed awake for a few more minutes...usko laga ye messages ka silsila

khatam nahi hone wala. Phone ko hi dekh rahi thi...and yes...ek aur message aa hi

gaya: "I LUV U"

Udhar Ram ne apne hisse ka 3 magical words bol to diya...aur madam ki reply ka

intezaar karta raha, karta hi raha...no reply from Priya! Fir so gaya.

Subah Priya ne phone check kiya...there was not even a good morning wish from

Ram, jo ab taka a jaana tha. She was used to waking up to his text "Guud

morning beautiful" over the last one week. Aaj nahi aaya tha par Priya ko wajah

pata tha...she had not responded to his last sms!

Priya sent him a gm wish and got ready for college. Sochti rahi "Kitne ziddi

hain. Luv u bolne ko keh diya ...aise kese boldly kehdu. Aur fir itna bhi nahi samajte

ki pyar karti hun tabhi shadi ke liye maani. Warna maanti hi kyu. Aur ab gussa

hokr baithe hai. Ufff...ekdam teenagers jese bante jaa rahe hai." Kehte huwe

muskuraayi "Fir bhi...bade acche lagte hai."

It was 5:00PM. Ram buht busy tha, utne me call aaya uski secretary ka. She

had just said "Sir aapse milne.."

Ram cut her off and thundered: "Stop calling me for God's sake. Hadnt I told

you not to disturb me with calls and not to allow anyone for the next 2 hours?

Dont you understand? (there was a

silence before he gathered his breath) Listen...if I get one more call from

you, mujse bura koi nahi hoga." and banged the phone.

Ram ka awaz itna uuncha tha ki na sirf uska secretary, par visitor ko bhi sunaai

diya. It was Priya

who had come to his office to surprise him.

Priya: "Im so sorry meri wajah se aapko itna sunaya unhone."

Lily: "No problem ma'am... apne to manaa kiya tha call krne se. Maine socha aapko

wait krwana accha nahi hoga. Shayad apka naam sunte to andar bulaa lete...par

utne me hi.."

Priya smiled: "Koi baat nahi I'll wait for him." And sat in the waiting

room.

At 7:20PM Ram came out of his room with 3 employees who wished him and left.

Ram went straight to Lily. Priya could see him, she came to the door of the

waiting room but was not sure if he was still busy, so she just stood there

observing him.

Ram: "I have such a bad headache, is liye coffee maanga tha. How horrible it

tasted. Ab mae business par dhyan du ya in choti choie cheezon par? Kar kya

rahe hai Admin department wale?"

Lily: "Sorry sir, I will look into it...sir...aapse milne Priya ma'am aaye

hai."

Ram: "What!! Priya?!! Where is she?"

Itne me Priya bahar aayi aur Lily uski taraf dekhne lagi. Ram also turned around...and

saw Priya...she was looking so beautiful though a bit tired, in a plain leaf

green sari...

Ram: "Tum? Kab aayi? Aur...aur bataya kyu nahi?"

Priya explained about the phone calls and also told him to check his mobile...he

saw 6 messages and there were 4 missed calls from her. Ram apologized. He then asked

her to give him a minute. He wound up his work and they both left from office. Priya

told him she came there casually and that he can just drop her home since it

was late. Ram agreed.

Ram: "Im really sorry Priya I made you wait for so long. Aaj buht busy tha

ek major project finalize krna tha..."

Priya stopped him: "Shhh... ab bas kijiye na pichle paanch minute me paanch

baar keh chuke hai. Mae hi achanak aa gayi thi to aap kyu itna stress le rahe

hai.

Change the topic now." By then Ram got a call from office so he kept talking

while driving. Priya also got a call. In another 40 minutes they reached Sharma

house. Priya got out of the car.

Priya: "Aap bhi aayiye na thodi der. Aur haan lift sach me kaam kar rahi

hai."

Ram laughed: "Oh! Par nahi you carry on...you are so tired."

Priya teased him: "Soch lijiye... agar ayenge to apko wo milega jo chahiye

tha!"

Ram stared into her shiningly naughty eyes and beamed: "Sacchi?"

Priya: "Mucchi"

With loads of expectations in mind, Ram went along. He was sitting on the

sofa and looking around thinking, "Priya ne khud kaha hai ki mujhe jo chahiye

wo milega...im so excited" thinking so he was staring at Priya who had freshened

up, changed over and was folding her hair into a bun as she walked towards him.

Priya: "Maa ne bataya sab der se ayenge. Karthik ke sath gaye hai. Papa bhi kisi

kaam se bahar gaye hai."

Ram couldn't control his happiness: "Matlab hum dono akele? Sab der se

ayenge na?

Priya frowned: "Kyaa!?"

Ram bit his tongue: "I mean...jaldi aa jayenge na?" and rolled his tongue naughtily.

Priya gave him one serious stare and walked towards the kitchen without even

replying. Ram went behind her: "May I help you?"

Priya was uncomfortable: "Nahi nahi please aap baethe rahiye."

Ram went back two steps: "ok ok...fine mae yahi khada rahunga kitchen entrance

me. Waha baeth kar bore ho jaunga yaar." And made a puppy face. Priya simply nodded

her head in disbelief, she knew he was trying to flirt. Ram yaha waha dekh raha

tha...par zyada tar Priya ko hi ghuur raha tha.

Ram: "Kya kar rahi ho?"

Priya: "Coffee."

Ram: "Is waqt? Its almost 8"

Priya smiled: "Dariye mat apke office ka coffee se to buht accha hoga. Apke

sar dard chala jayega."

Ram: "Oh to tumne wo saare baat sun liya?"

Priya: "Ji haan. Apke gussa, chote chote baton par chhidh jaana, fussy

nature sab dekh liya aaj. Apke secretary se buht der tak apki hi baat kar rahi

thi mae...kaafi acche se jaan gayi hun apko huzur" and smiled. Ram was laughing.

After almost 5 minutes Priya went near the stove: "Aree ye duudh abi tak

garam kyu nahi hua?" and then announced.. "Ohho cylinder khatam ho gaya hai.

Dusri fix krni pdegi."

Ram: "Oh...wait mae madad krundga." Saying so he removed his shoes and entered

the kitchen.

Priya: "Are nahi mae kardungi na, aadat hai mujhe."

Ram walked towards her: "Maine kab kaha tumhe aadat nahi hai!" and winked at

her. Priya immediately looked away from him and disconnected the old cylinder.

He stood right behind her...she felt a bit nervous...she could see his shadow

closing on to her...thoda darne lagi wo...

Priya stammered: "Aap... please jayiye yaha se..."

Ram simply smiled and stepped aside. Priya quickly walked past him towards

the new cylinder and held it by the rim to bring it near the stove. Ram aaya...he

stood opposite her...aur dheere se Priya ki hathon par khud ka hath rakha...he also

bent down and tilted the cylinder towards himself...this made Priya bend further...after

all, her palms were held below his palms. Dono kafi paas the ek dusre ke...close

enough for the closest eye-lock which they shared for a few seconds. They could

even feel each other's breath moving in and out by now.

Priya ko accha bhi lag raha tha aur uncomfortable bhi. Dono ek dusre ki

ankhon me dekh rahe the ...

Priya suddenly realized: "Mera haath.."

Ram smiled: "Don't worry...bas itna kahunga...wo aaj teen lafzon ka intezaar hai

mujhe..."

Priya simply looked at him once and then bent her head down shyly. Ram

realized it and loosened the grip on her palms...she slowly took her hands out

and turned back, and then went back towards the stove. In the next 3 minutes

the new cylinder was connected.

Ram wapis kitchen ki entrance me jaa kar khada hua...with folded arms he was

looking at her.

After a few minutes Priya asked: "Baeth jayiye na aap araam se..ban jayegi

2-3 minutes me"

Ram: "Nahi nahi dekhne do."

Priya: "Kya dekhna hai?"

Ram smiled: "Tumhe..."

Priya stared at him. Ram got the hint that he will be in trouble. Usne jhat

se reply badal diya: "I

mean kitchen ko...dekh raha tha kitna accha hai...itne saare apples, vegetables,

green leaves...bapre...itna healthy khaana khaunga to mae bimar ho jaunga yaar."

Priya: "Apko bimar hone kon dega. Ho bhi gaye to ilaaj karna aata hai

mujhe."

Ram grinned: "Accha! Kese karoge ilaaj?" ...he got carried away...kitchen ke

andar chala gaya...Priya muskura rahi thi...he stood right in front of her and stared

at her...she felt shy and looked down.

Ram smiled: "Batao na kese karoge ilaaj"

Priya: "Abhi kese, agar bimar honge tab hi dikhaungi na."

Ram: "Ufff...kitna satate ho yaar Priya. Chalo at least jo mujhe sun na hai wo

boldo."

Priya: "Aap andar kyu aaye fir se? Jayiye na"

Ram: "Nahi jaunga jab tak wo teen lafz nahi bologi." And folded his arms, smiling.

Priya: "Bade besharam hai aap"

Ram: "Sharma parivar ka nahi hun na to sharmana nahi aata."

Priya: "Please Ram..."

Ram: "Please Priya..."

Priya smiled: "Mujhe pata nahi kya bolna hai"

Ram looked deep into her eyes and went closer...far closer and uttered like a whisper:

"sirf itna kehdo...I... LUVV...U"

By now Priya knew there was no point delaying. Besides, itna ziddi tha Ram...

So she hesitantly looked down, cleared her throat and started: "I"

Ram looked into her glowing eyes in anticipation...she was also looking into

his intense eyes.

Itne me door bell baja...

Ram and Priya were distracted. They instantly turned to the door... a romantic

moment was ruined...

Ram: "Jaldi kehdo Priya..please".

Priya was nervous: "Aree koi aaya hai...aap chaliye yaha se."

Ram was upset: "Tum itne nakhre nahi karti to mae ab tak sun chuka hota na. Such

a spoil sport you are yaar...it would have taken only 3 seconds...kehdo na abhi

bhi..."

Priya was already out of the kitchen by now saying: "Jaldi shoes pehniye aur

sofe par baeth jayiye please."

He had to obey her words. Priya waited till Ram wore his shoe and sat on the

sofa, and then opened the door. It was Sudheer.

Sudheer came in and saw Ram: "Oh Ram!! Baetho beta..."

Sudheer sat with Ram...idhar udhar ke baatein karte rahe.

Sudheer: "Priya beta gala suukh gaya hai thoda nimbu pani dedo mujhe. Aur

Ram ko khane ko kuch diya ki nahi?"

Priya: "Ji unke liye coffee banaa rahi hun." And smiled at Ram.

Ram stood up: "Inhe juice dedo Priya. Aaa...mujhe coffee nahi chahiye, mae

chalta hun."

Priya was surprised: "Are are ban gaya na...sirf ek minute...pllleasssee"

Sudheer also insisted: "Haan Ram iski hath ki coffee taste karo..buht acchi banaati

hai."

Ram smiled: "Actually mae coffee nahi peeta...mujhe bilkul acchi nahi lagti"

and gave a sarcastic look to Priya.

Sudheer was upset: "Oh! Priya ye kya kiya tu ne...banaane se phle puchna

chahiye tha na? Inhe pasand hi nahi hai coffee to banaa kyu rahi ho? Ya galat

baat hai na."

Priya was shocked at Ram's reply. She looked at him...he made a face as if to

say "Accha hua daant pada".

Itne me landline par call aaya. Sudheer ji wo call attend karne gaye. Ram

was wearing his shoes. Priya bought the coffee cup near him. He had bent down

to tie the lace.

Priya: "To apko sach me coffee nahi chahiye?"

Ram looked up and bent down again: "Nahi"

Priya smiled: "Soch lijiye warna baad me pachtayenge"

Ram stood up and was still angry: "Soch liya. Nahi chahiye...now bye"

Priya slowly brought the cup right in front of his eyes...he looked into it...slowly

his expression

changed...completely changed. He grinned from ear-to-ear! He slowly took it

from her, stared at the coffee for so long...and then sipped it slowly...smiling at

her in between sips. After ending the call, Sudheer turned back...only to find

Ram enjoying the coffee absolutely...both Ram and Priya were looking at each

other, somewhat lost!!

Sudheer smiled: "Arewah...tumne to kaha tha coffee nahi peete...to fir.."

Ram was stumped: "Jee wo..wo..i mean..wo...actually..." he stammered.

Sudheer patted his back: "Chalo koi baat nahi...accha hua..araam se piyo."

Ram looked at Priya and she winked at him!!

Ram left from there... Ram and Priya were in the lift...

Priya smiled: "To?"

Ram smiled back: "Really dint expect you to do that...you surprised me...you are

too good Priya!!"

Priya: "hmm...papa se jhut kyu bole fir? Roz roz jhut bolte rhte hai...ye aadat

h apke?"

Ram laughed: "To kya batata ...ki apki beti ne coffee me I LUV U karke topping

cream me

formation bana kar diya hai, isi liye pee raha hun!"

Priya also laughed. She had used rich cream to chalk out 2 hearts on the surface

of coffee...and also written I LUV U across the hearts using dark

chocolate cream ...it looked so romantic, her... unique way of impressing her man...

They reached the car.

Priya: "Sar dard chala gaya?"

Ram: "Haan Priya..wo to tumhe office me jab dekha na...usi waqt chala gaya.

Tumhe dekhne se sukuun mil jaata hai yaar"

Priya: "Uff fir se filmy baatein."

Ram teased her: "Tum bhi kam nahi ho...aaj coffe topping wala stunt jo tumne

kiya na...wo filmo me bhi nahi hota hai shayad!"

Ram got into the car. Both wished each other...

That night, fir se unke SMS ka silsila shuru hua...Priya tab tak so nahi payi jab tak Ram ka message nahi aaya as "Good night, beautiful!"
