Scene 3-
"Uff... !" It was 11.30 in the night by the time I reached home ! Thank god ki Maa so gayi thi ! I almost collapsed on the sofa,unable to get up ! I swore to god that I would kill that girl the next time I see her ! With the same thought in mind,I dozed off..!
"Ram puttar.."
I heard a voice.. I opened my eyes & saw My mom in front of me !
"Saat baj gaye hain.. office nahi jaana hain kya ?"
I looked in my watch.. I was late.. ! I hurriedly got up & rushed inside the bathroom ! I sat on the dinning table !
"Ah ! aloo ke paranthe !",I said as my mom served it to me garma-garam !
"Khaa.. puttar",She rubbed her soft palm on my head.
Haash.. Aaj ka din accha hoga.. I was sure.. ! Magar ! Agar subha subha agar aapki mummy aapka favorite nashta banati hain,wo bhi bina maange,tab daal me something black hota hain..!
"Kya baat hain maa ?"
"Kyu ? main avi apne puttar ke liye uska fav nasta nahi bana sakti?"
I was right !
"Accha ? toh teek hain..! main chalta hun"
I purposely got up,took my bag & pretended to go.
"Ram puttar,suno",she stopped me !
here comes the catch ! please let it not be another ladki !
"Aaj sham ko ladki dekhne jaana hain ",She said as I sighed..
oh no.. !
"Gawd.. maa ? phirse ? ye paanchvi ladki hain iss mahine ki "
"Ye bohot acchi ladki hain " she cried.
"aap hamesha yahi toh kehti hain..",I protested.
"Haan.. magar ye un sab se bhi acchi hain.. ! wo Mr.aluwalia hain na.. unki chacha ki behen ki beti hain " My mom insisted.
Arrey yaar I dont care agar wo birla ki beti ho ! mujhe nahi dekhna hain ! but If I had said so then she would start emo-blackmail.. aur subhe subhe mujhe drama nahi chahiye tha .. so isiliye !
"accha teek hain "I said !
"great.. Sham ko 6 baje aajana "
"Whatevr"I muttered..
Scene 4-
"Toh usne tumhe police ke hawale kardiya aur khud bhag gayi ?"
Vikram asked..!
Oh sorry ! maine toh Vikram ka intro hi nahi diya.. ! This is Vikram my best & Only buddy ! Hum dono 2nd std se ek hain ! Vikram mere company main 30% ka maalik hain ! Aur wo pichle 3 saal se shaadi shuda hain.. Isiliye most of the time dukhi rehta hain 😆 Ok I was kidding ! Main vikram se sab kuch share karta hun..! aur aaj me vik ko kal raat ki meri kahaani suna raha tha !
"Phir kya hua ? tum police station gaye ?" he enqired.
"Haan.." I nodded..
"Aur ?"
"Aur maine commissioner ko phone lagaya..! unhe bhulaya aur phir kuch formalities pe sign ki aur.. I reached home by 11.30",I explained..
"Aur wo ladki ? uska kya hua ?"
Seriously.. why do people ask such lame questions ?
"Mujhe kya pata ?"I said in a loud voice..
"Aur tune use jaane diya ?"
Lame question Number 2..
"Nahi .. ! kya questions pooch raha hain tu ?"I shouted..
Usually my voice is loud & I am noisy ! so people often tend to choke !
"Mujhe pe kya chilla raha hain..? Usse toh tune jaane diya ? bhalai ka zamaan hi nahi raha !"
Shouldn't I be saying that ?! gawd.. !
"okay baba,.. chill.. !" I consoled him..
"Kya chill Ram ? koi bhi ladki aa kar tumhare saat aisa karegi toh main chill kaise karunga ?"
Seriously ?! sab log kitne dramebaaz hote hain ?! vaise I had almost forgotten about that chick ! I didn't care anymore ! So I changed the topic cos I didnt know how else to react to his "concern"..
"Aaj me ladki dekne jaa raha hun" I said..
"aacha ? Thats good !"He seemed excited!
"Isme 'good' kya hain ?"😕I asked,confused !
"Tumhara man behel jayega.."Vik said very happily..
Man behel jaayega ? W*F ! main ladki dekhne jaa raha tha ! koi chimpanzee nahi ! gawd,.. people sometimes dont realise what they say !
"Hm.." I reacted .. "Wanna come?"
"nahi.. mujhe Neha ko film dikhane lekar jaana hain" He sighed..
"Oh !" ofcourse ! shaadi ke baad yahi answer ,ilta hain jab kabhie aap apne shaadi shuda dost se koi sawaal karte hain toh !
"Toh teek hain.. chal its 6 ,.. main nikalta hun.." I said.
"Ladki kaun hain ?" he asked..
"Pata nahi.. hain koi aluwalia meri neighbour ki relative !"
"Naam ?"
"yaar.. aaj poochke bata ta hun !" I growled..
"all the best" he smiled..
"Yeah.. ! whatever !"I signed off the convo with him & hurried home !
Scene 5-
Whatever.. ! Exactly ! I really didnt care ! I wanted this stupid thing to get over ! Yeah I was in the Girl's house ! An unknown girl whom I was supposed to look @ decide whether she was marriageable or not ! I mean Come on.. ! How can a person decide whether he/she likes the other on only by meeting them once or twice ! This was just absurd !
"Aur lee jiye beta ji,sab desi ghee ka bana hain"Mr.singh offered me a samosa !
The oil literally tripped from the 'desi ghee ka samosa'..! I ate it ! The only good thing about 'ladki dekhna' is ki you get free food & The ladki-waale treat the ladke-waale like gods ! I know I am offending the feminists but thats the fact ! Yeah ! Mr.Singh is my 'hone waale sasur-ji' I mean IF I like their daughter then He would be my sasur ! so yeah Ad mist those fake smiles & oily-cholesterol inducing food I began to search for THE GIRL... !
Mrs.alluwalia pulled my cheeks infront of all the people & asked"kisse dund rahi hain aapki nazar?" & she laughed like a witch !
Oh I had show shy smiles.. I swear I could have killed her with the fork kept on the table because of the embaressment that I had to face !
Mr.Singh & Mrs.Singh seemed very decent people ! Their house decorated with handicraft items ! wall paintings looked super-stunning & the marble flooring attracted my eyes ! The seemed quite wealthy & my mom almost loved the girl before even looking @ her !
"kaisi laga ?" she whispered in my ears!
"kya?"I whispered back.
"Ghar?"
"As far as I know hum ladki dekhne aaye hain right ? plan kab change kardiya?😆"
My mom frowned !
"Accha hain ! ab please ladki ko bhulane ko ka ho !"
My mom nodded !
"Mr.singh ji.. bohot late ho raha hain.. zara ladki ko bhula denge toh.."My mom said..
"haan ji.. Mintu beta usse le aana ",Mr.singh screamed.
I grabbed on to the pomegranate juice that Mrs.singh offered !
I sipped it as The girl came in ! Wo juice mere gale me atak gaya as I saw the girl !
"Kinni soni kudiye !" I heard my mom say before I coughed up the juice ! The girl was None other than Priya ! Oh Hell ! I closed my eyes !
