You could watch a show regularly and still be annoyed by something that's being portrayed in the show - that is absolutely possible. And I don't think there is anything wrong with criticizing the basis of a show that you watch - it happens, it can happen. It doesn't make it unacceptable. It simply means that what was promised and what was delivered wasn't the same thing! And if someone wants to say that - that's fine! That doesn't mean that they shouldn't be watching a show.. They can watch the show, disagree with some key points in the show but still be entertained by the rest. That HAPPENS. 😕
The only thing that's happened here though, I feel, is the fact that in this case, the key criticism concerns Ram and Priya's character development which fans are finding hard to reconcile with. The criticism is probably based on the fact that what was promised of Ram-Priya and what they ended up being were two different things. That doesn't mean what they are now can't be entertaining for some people, but just that the same people can also find some grievances regarding the same. And I don't think that's so unacceptable or unfathomable at all. It's just their opinion and their prerogative.
Also, I am confident that the two comments in question here are being taken out of context. If we were to read the original post in entirety, I know that they go on to explain their statements. Now whether you agree with them or not, that's a whole other thing but I know they weren't generalizing as all rich men seeing "naked" women - they were hinting at how with the prevelance of nudity in society these days, it's hard to walk a mile without seeing someone dressed in something inappropriate to conservative sensibilities. And that RK being a businessmen who traveled around the world MUST have seen scantily dressed women so he should be more immune to it (not that I agree or disagree with this point - it's just what the member seems to be trying to say). And I'm sure they were trying to make a similar point with the covering-up-scene in question. I think we just need to be analytical about a post and really read it IN CONTEXT. Instead of just picking out key statements and getting upset by it. 😕
FIVR,I just have one question. how come the thread starter talks about sanctity in marriage and then throws such loose statements. It would have been placed better if it was generalized about "naked" women in the society. Isn't RK been mentioned even by his friend Vikram(BFF) as someone who has been shy from women all his life???????????? And isn't it any different to see a random person vs your own wife in such clothes??when a simple post could have such loose ends.. I think a serial that runs long can have some loose ends and scripts too!
