Scene 9:

Ram realizes his feelings

The whole Kapoor family went to US for attending a family function at Ishika's inlaw. Sid went to France for some work. Dadi went to Amritsar for a visit to golden temple and Ram and Priya were alone in the house.

In the night Priya as usual went to the couch and started reading a book, Ram was working on his laptop sitting on the bed. Ram switched on the AC and the temperature was low and Priya who was not so used to it wsa feeling very cold she thought about asking him but she thought it was waste to ask him so she simply sat reading the book but she was feeling very cold so she thought what is the harm in trying so she went to Ram

Priya: Mr.Kapoor kya aap AC temperature thoda decrease kar sakthe hai please mujhe bahut thand lag rahi hai

Ram who was in some business tension says: nahin temperature uthna bhi thanda nahin hai

Priya: please mujhe thand lag rahi hai

Ram: mujhe aisa hi acha lagtha hai aur ye mera room hai tho wahi hoga jo main chatha hoon

Priya: Mr.Kapoor humari shadhi ho chuki hai aur ye karma mera bhi hai

Ram: shadi ho gayi hai par officially ye mera karma hai aur ye shadi ek compromise hai humare liye aur iss shadi mein main aur koi bhi compromise nahin karna chatha hoon tumhare liye

Listening to the word 'compromise' from Ram she gets sad says: k... and goes to couch and soon gets asleep...

Next morning

She woke up and was not feeling well bu she continued with her daily work.Ram went to the office Priya also left to her classes as she was not feeling well she didn't have lunch came back home late in the evening went back to her room to take rest.After 2-3 hours bansi kaka came to the room

Bansi kaka: Mam aaj raat ka dinner menu kya hoga

Priya: aap Mr.Kapoor ke liye kuch non-veg banadijiye un ke pasand ke hisab seaur mujhe kuch nahin chahiye

Bansi kaka sees her condition she was looking pale, her face showed her weakness she was not even able to wlak properly so he asks: Mam aap theek tho hai na

Priya: haan main bilkul theek hoon hearing this he leaves the room

After sometime Priya gets a call from Ram

Ram: Priya main bol raha hoon

Priya: ji kahiye

Ram: tumhare classes ho gaye

Priya: haan

Ram: tum abhi kahan ho

Priya: ghar par kyun

Ram: Priya woh... Vikram aur Neha Ludhiana ja rahe hai koi function hai 5 dino ke liye aur kal hi nikhal rahe hai tho unn hone dinner plan kiya hai aaj raat ke liye tho... tum ready rehna main 8 baje tak paunch jaunga and hum saath mein nikhalte hai

Priya hwo was feeling drowsy could understand what he was saying says: k

Ram comes and sees that she is still not ready and was angry: Priya yeh kya hai abhi tak tum ready hi nahin ho

Priya who was unable to understand what he was saying: ready' kahin jana hai kya

Ram: kya ho gaya hai tumhe maine call kar ke kaha tha na ki hume dinner ke liye jana hai Vikram aur Neha ke saath

Priya: mujhe dinner nahin khana aap chale jayiye main ghar par hi rukhthi hoon

Ram: agar tumhe dinner nahin khana hai tho theek hai par mere saath chalo tho sahi warna Vikram aur Neha ko hum par doubt hoga

Priya: mera mann nahin kar raha hai kahin bhi jane ka

Ram gets angry: mujhe pata hai tum nahin aaogi kyun ki ye mera plan hai agar ye plan VIkram aur Neha ne banaya hota tho tum jaroor aati tum kabhi na nahin kehti

Priya tries to make him understand but Ram keeps on raving so she finally gives up and says: theek hai main chalthi hoon bus mujhe 2 min dijiye main abhi reayd ho kar aati hoon

Ram who was very angry says: tum apne aap ko samjthi kya ho... sab tumhare samne request karte rahe koi bhi baat kabhi bhi tumne ek baar mein mani hai Priya didn't want to argue more so she stays quite and goes to get ready

As Priya comes out Ram was ready, he gets a call

Ram: haan bol Vikram

Vikram: kya hua kahan ho tum log

Ram: bus abhi nikhla hi rahe hai

Vikram: jaldi karo yaar hume bahut bhukh lag rahi hai mana ki tum dono newly wedded couple ho par humara bhi khayal karo tum log romance baad mein kar lena

Ram: nahin aisi koi baat nahin hai bas abhi ghar se nikhal hi rahe hai

At Hotel

Ram and Priya reaches the hotel and finds Vikram and Neha waiting for them,

Ram: sorry yaar der ho gaya

Vikram: koi baat nahin hum tum logo ke romance ko disturb nahin karte par kal Ludhiana jaan hai tho thayari abhi bhi baki hai

Ram: tu kabhi bhi kuch bhi boltha hai chal dinner karte hai. He calls waiter to give their order

Priya says: mujhe kuch nahin chahiye

Neha sees that Priya was looking pale so she asks: Priya tum theek tho ho na

Priya: haan main theek hoon

Neha: kuch tho khalo

Priya: nahin main tho bus tum logo ko company den eke liye aayi hoon and she trying her best not to let anyone know about her health she was literally holding herself

After dinner they all plans to have icecream

Neha: Priya tume ne dinner tho nahin kiya par icecream tho khalo please

Vikram: haan Priya ice cream tho kha sakthi ho na

Priya: k as Neha and Vikram were insisting so much she don't want to create any other scene and she didn't want to hear any other thing from Ram as she remembered what all he told when she refused to come to dinner and thought it was better to have it

Kapoor Mansion:

Priya's condition worsened but as she was very angry with Ram so she didn't tell him anything Ram went to change first by the time he came back he saw that PRiya was asleep on couch without changing

Ram thinks: kaisi ladki hai change bhi nahin kiya... itni aalsi ladki maine kabhi bhi nahin dekha... bina change kare hi so gayi so he thought of waking her so that she can change but then stopped himself and thinks no varna hitler ke jaise phir se shuru ho jayegi talwar lekar and so goes to bed and was fast asleep

Next day

In morning Ram wakes up first and sees Priya still sleeping so goes to washroom. By the time he comes out she sees that she was still sleeping he thinks roz to 6 baje hi uth jati hai aaj kya ho gaya 8 baj gaye hai he thought about waking her up and move towards her but stops himself thinking that may be she is tired and also most of the times she is not able to have asound sleep bcoz his snoring so its better he let her sleep with this thought he intercoms and calls tea breakfast for him

He sits down on bed and thinks he might disturb her sleep so he moves down to the hall and had his tea breakfast there and was reading newspaper suddenly he starts feeling uneasy deep in his heart so he calls chhoti, Ishika and rishab to enquire abt their health when he knows that everyone is fine why is he feeling that something is fishy... someone who is close to him is not well...

After some time he thinks to himself Ram tuj kya hogaya hai tub hi Priya ki tahara sochne laga hai lagtha hai uss ka asar ho raha hai tuj par... Uske jaise tub hi pagal ho gaya hai... and so he again starts to concentrate on newspaper

After sometime he notices bansi kaka going towards his room so he stops him

Ram: bansi kaka kya hua aap kahan ja rahe hai

Bansi kaka: Priya mam ke paas jar aha hoon lunch menu pooch ne ke liya kyun ki daadi ne kaha tha ki Priya mam se poochu

Ram: intercom par pooch lijiye

Bansi kaka: maine kiya tha par mam utha hi nahin rahi hai isiliye maine socho upar ja kar pooch lo unhe

Ram was shocked thinks: Priya kabhi bhi itni der tak nahi sothi tho phir aaj... shayad washroom mein hogi and remembers she always forgets her saree on the couch so he stops bansi kaka

Ram: bansi kaka aap rehne dijiye main ja kar dekhta hoon. As he enters the room and was shocked to see Priya still sleeping he gets worried and thinks there must be something wrong otherwise she wouldn't sleep for so long he decides to wake her up then he remembered that yesterday Neha asked her if she was ok and mentioned that she was looking pale.

Ram moves towards her: Priya... Priya... he called for 3-4 times but there was no response he thought about shaking her he moved his hand towards her shoulder but stopped and thought that what if she might not feel good about it so he shaked her leg but there was no response from her, he got restless so he shakes her cheeks and realizes that she was suffering from fever tries to wake her but again there was no response he hurriedly calls doctor and asks him to reach the kapoor mansion in 10 minutes

He lifts Priya and carries her to the bed covers her completely with blanket sits beside her and was looking at just then doctor arrives.

Doctor examines her gives her some injection and says: Mr.Kapoor maine injection diya hai unhe hoosh aa jaana chahiye

Ram: doctor Priya ko kya hua hai... ye kyun nahin uth rahi hai

Doctor: Mr.Kapoor temperature bahut high hai agar innhe 4-5 gante mein hosh nahin aaya tho humhe innhe hospital mein admit karna padega

Ram: kyun kya hua hai meri Priya ko thik tho hai na woh

Doctor: haan woh thik hai par agar woh iss medicine ko respond na kar tho... mujhe lagta hai shayad unhe brain fever ho saktha hai isliye unhe admit karna padega saying this doctor leaves

Ram comes near to Priya looks at her, caresses her forehead he cell rings

Manager: sir aap kahan hai aaj hum eek deal final karni hai

Ram: aaj main office nahin aa raha hoon

Manager: par sir ye bahut important deal hai agar aap nahin aaye tho yeh deal cancel ho saktha hai

Ram shouts at him: deal cancel hoti hai tho hogaye I'll not come and switches his cell bansi kaka who was standing at the door hears this conversation and is shocked

After sometime bansi kaka comes and sees that Ram was still sitting close to Priya caressing her hair with one hand and with the other he was holding her hand

Bansi kaka: sir aap lunch ke liye kya lenge

Ram: nahin kaka mujhe lunch nahin karna hearing this bansi kaka left from there

Ram kisses her hand and holds her hand close to his cheek, he checks her temp and says: yeh tho kam hi nahin ho raha hai then he remembers his mother used to put cold water straps on forehead so that the temp comes down so he asks bansi kaka to bring water and straps

Bansi kaka brings it and was also accompanied by a maid,

Maid: sir main kar doongi

Ram: main kar lunga

Maid: sir main kar dethi hoon

Ram stops her: nahin main khud karunga maine kaha hai na tumse aap dono jayiye

Bansi kaka: sir par

Ram: kaka please main kar lunga... Priya meri biwi hai so they left the room

Ram comes near to Priya keeps her head in his lap and starts putting straps on her forehead each time when he used to change the strap he used to kiss her forehead saying: Priya tum bilkul thik ho jaogi and he was in tears

4 hours has passed he was getting restless he checked her temp but it didn't come down be became tensed and decided to call doctor

Ram: doctor Priya ka fever abhi bhi kam nahin hua hai

Doctor: Mr.Kapoor ek aur hour dekhte hai

Ram: k cutting the call he sits beside her holding her hand and says: uth jao Priya please mere liye... Priya please uth jao I promise main tumhe thang nahin karunga tum par chillaunga bhi nahin tum jo kahogi wahi karunga please uth jao and kisses her forehead

After sometime Priya regains conscious but she was still drowsy, Ram was very happy, he calls doctor

Ram: doctor Priya ko hosh aa gaya hai

Doctor: good agar unhe hosh aa gaya hai tho woh thik hai aur kal thak tho woh bilkul thik ho jayegi par please aap unh eek dose ka medicine dijiye raat ko dinner ke baad and gives him instruction about what Priya should have

Ram: k thank you doctor

Suddenly he hears Priya was blabbering something so he comes close to her face so that he can listen to what she was saying and he hears her saying: Ram aisa nahin hai... aisa kyun lagta hai aapko ki main hamesha aap jo bolte hai uss ka ulta hi karthi hoon ya karungi

Listening to this his eyes were filled with tears he hugs her and says: I'm sorry Priya... I'm really very sorry

After sometime she gains her full consciousness and was shocked to find herseld on the bed and Ram was sitting beside her, she tried to get up and he helped her

Ram: ab tumhe kaisa lag raha hai tum thik ho na

Priya: hmmm... kitne baj gaye hai before he could answer she says: 7 baj gaye hai and tries to get up

Ram sees what see was going to do so he stops her: Priya kya hua

Priya: Mr.Kapoor he feels bad when he hears her calling him Mr.Kapoor and thinks abhi tho Ram keh rahi thi aur ab...

Priya: main abhi tak so rahi thi saare kaam wasi hi honge

Ram stops her and says: saare kam hojayenge tum itni bhi important nahin ho ki tumhare liye saare kam rukh jaye and think Priya ye rishta tumhare liye srif compromise hai par maine khud iss deewar ko hamre beech khada kiya hai hamesha so he continues to be rude to her and says: kahin bhi jaane ne ki jaroorat nahin hai just stay where you are and take rest she quietly accepts what he was saying as she saw that he was very determined it would not be good to mess with him now

After sometime Priya again tries to get up and observes that Ram was looking at her so she looks at him

Ram: kya hua aise kyun dekh rahi ho aur kaha ja rahi ho

Priya: woh wash room jana tha

Ram: k she gets up but was still very weak she was about to fall while going to the washroom but Ram holds her, supports her till washroom then she goes in

Ram waits outside for her after sometime he hears the sound of door opening he pretends as if he was searching for something in his wardrobe, she comes out and was struggling to walk he again supports her and makes her sit on the bed

After sometime bansi kaka comes with the dinner soup and khichci

Seeing the dinner Priya says: kaka mijhe parathe chahiye bansi kaka looks at Ram

As there was no answer she again says: kaka mere liye aloo ke parathe aur achaar le ayiye please bansi kaka still looks at Ram

Ram: kaka aap jayiye aapko late ho raha hoga na Priya looks at him as though trying to understand what was going on

Ram: aaj ye kha lo kyunki kaka ko ghar jaldi jaana hai she thinks Ram aap kyun jhooth bol rahe hai

Priya: mujhe aaj khichdi nahin khana

Ram: tum so rahi thi tho mujhe jo khana tha wahi maine tumhare liye bhi banana ke liye keh diya

Priya: par... mujhe ye nahin

Ram: par var kuch nahin chup chap ye khaloo Priya makes an ugly face towards Ram telling him silently she doesn't want to eat it but then again unwontedly eats it

After sometime Ram goes to the kitchen

Ram: kaka dudh ka dijiye and takes the glass

Bansi kaka: par beta tum ye...

Ram: kaka maine Priya se kaha ki aap ghar chale gaye hai isiliye woh khichdi khan eke liye maan gayi thi

Bansi kaka: maine ne aap ke liye chicken manchurian bhi banaya hai aap kha lijiye aap ko khichdi bilkul pasand nahin hai na

Ram: nahin kaka maine kha liya hai aura b mujhe bhukh nahin hai taking the glass of milk for Priya he leaves

Bansi kaka smiles and says: pyaar insaan ko kitna badal deta hai and looks towards sky and says: malkin(Ram's real mom) aaj Ram baba mein mujhe wahi humare pehle wale Golu dikhayi diye

Ram gives her milk and medicines; tum so jao

Priya: ye dudh...

Ram: bansi kaka microwave mein rakh kar bhool gaye the Priya thinks Ram aap ko tho jhooth bolna bhi nahin aata and triesto get up and move towards couch

Ram stops her and says: nahin aaj tum wahi bed par so jao main couch par so jaunga

Priya: par Mr.Kapoor aap couch par nahin so payenge

Ram: tumhe mere bare mein fikar karne ki jaroorat nahin hai

Priya: par... but Ram interrupts her

Ram: maine keh diya na bus..

She tries to go to sleep and says: Mr.Kapoor agar aap chahe tho aap bhi bed par so sakthe hai hearing this Ram looks at Priya they share a look then she closes her eyes and thinks: Ram main jaanti moon aap ko meri fikar hai isiliye aap pura time mere paas the... mujhe thande pani ki straps de rahe the... aur main yeh bhi jaanti hoon ki aapko khichdi bilkul pasand nahin hai doctor ne mere liye kahan tha main khalu isiliye aapne bhi khaya hai par aap ek baat nahin samhje maine aloo ke parathe isliye maange kyun ki woh aap ko pasand hai aisa hi sahi aap ko aapka mann pasand khana mile, mere liye aap ko khichdi na khana pade par aap ne woh bhi karne nahin diya... smiles and says thank you Ram in her heart she opens her eyes looks at Ram then goes to sleep

After sometime Ram comes and sits beside her looks at her was about to caress her forehead but stops himelf and says: Priya aaj mujhe samajh mein aa gaya ki tumhari mere life mein kya maayine hai... tum se durr tha par mere dil ne tumhare dard ko jaan ji liya main hi samaj nahin paya tum kitni important ho mere liye... now I have realized how much I need you and above all how much I love you... yes Priya... I love you... par main tumhe kabhi nahin bataunga kyun jis kisi se bhi maine pyaar kiya hai woh mujhse durr chala gaya hai aur main tumhe khona nahin chahtha aur main yeh bhi jaantha hoon ki tumhare liye ye relation abhi bhi compromise hi hai... aur main jaantha hoon ki main tumhara sapno ka rajkumar nahin hoon jis ka tumne hamesha se intezaar kiya hoga par main tumse pyaar katha hoon aur hamesha kartha rahunga.. I will love you for ever gives her a flying kiss... thinking about this he too goes to sleep (In the back groung song: teri meri meri teri prem kahani hai mushkil do lafoonzo mai yeh bayaan na ho paye is being played)
