Fivr jee 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 good to see you here. Hurry up and catch up so we can discuss this! 😆

@Shobha - hey! Great analysis. I too hope that Karthik is saved from the rishta with Nutz as I do quite like him, and I would rather not see her all too often.

Good to know you believe in soulmates - you're in good company I guess since I haven't found mine either! 😆😆

I also don't believe in perfection and there should be some differences so that we understand and accommodate other people's thoughts and perspective

Hi, thank you so much! Agree with your analysis - I suspect that Ram is behind the dulha but I am hoping it is not the case. Let's hope they will once again surprise us and not go down the beaten track.

in btw Hii to everyone here🤗

Hi Resham, thanks so much. Ah, you think Vineet might leave the shaadi ka mandap and Ram will step in? Possible, possible. Though I still hope that Priya herself rejects him in advance and RP find another way to come together.

@shreya - lol, Nuts has NO redeeming qualities that I can see at this stage. She is just...blah.

@ Vasu (if I may call you that 😳) - I think I'm as hooked on your synopses as I am on the show... your writing is so precise and thought-provoking 👏 Anyone reading it would probably find that it echoes their thoughts exactly because of how you present it. Even found interesting food for thought in a mundane episode like today's, wowzies! I would like to write more when I'm freer this weekend, but for now I want to point out just a couple of things. Of course you can call me Vasu 😳 as long as you keep up the praise 😆 seriously though - thank you so much for your kind words. I often feel like I am rambling to my own benefit but thankfully this forum has a lot of intelligent, sensible and like-minded members who seem to enjoy my posts, as I do theirs.

- In today's epi, I think you hit the bullseye when you said, w.r.t. Vineet, that "he said all the right things even before Priya could say them". That's what should look suspicious to anyone, luckily at least Priya picked up on it if not the rest of them. The dad, I have no hopes of him being perceptive of anything 🤔😆 But why not Karthik? I mean, what kind of guy objects to "jaake freshen up kar" in an attempt to flatter the girl - dude, she was just going to wash her face after a long day, and you go all Shakespeare on her It seemed awkward, the way sooo much was tumbling out of his mouth at one go. It's a different matter that the speed with which we do the same on IF might even exceed his 😆 Anyway, that was strange, and the way he acted in the one-on-one session, as if he knew everything there was to know about her. How much could possibly be revealed in a profile on a matrimonial site 😕 Even her mom and sister who created the profile don't know everything that about Priya that makes her who she is, then yeh banda kahaan se aaya, Mr. Antaryaami?! So, yeah. Those were some thoughts on today's epi. So true @bold. In fact, my sister made a similar comment when he said "no need to freshen up, she looks good as she is". My sis said, sure, but dude, don't you think she might want to freshen up for her personal hygiene?? She's just come in from work, is tired and hot and probably sweaty - could you possibly give her a couple of minutes to herself?! 😆 And you are bang on about the way he presented himself - he was revealing SO much of himself...practically stumbling over his words. It was like a word vomit that he couldn't control. I am a reserved person myself and I don't quite trust people who reveal themselves in such a short amount of time to practical strangers. And I really don't like it when people presume to tell me how I am feeling, so this was sort of a double whammy of suspicion for me.

- Speaking of her mom, I wanna refer back to your write-up from yesterday's Shipra special... I adored her scenes yesterday, especially the one with Priya in front of the mirror, and I was so relieved that her new shriek-free dialogue delivery carried over to today Even during the loud phone call that disrupted class, she didn't get shrill! Hope it stays that way throughout the show. Anyway, back to yesterday - loved the sweetness at the end, and love the protective yet sensible side of her we saw towards the beginning, with the marriage bureau guy. Someone mentioned her inconsistency as a character, the sort of schizo-ness of the switch between pyaari maa and wicked stepmom type. I just wanted to mention that we might interpret yesterday's Ashwin bit as the answer to that confusion, a way of building dimension into Shipra's character instead of what others guessed - introducing Ashwin as a potential Ekta-esque complication in the upcoming 'RaYa' marriage. Maybe (IMO, hopefully) we were only treated to him because the marriage bureau dude's reference to his and Priya's relationship as town gossip is the cause of Shipra's frustration? If she's been hearing bad talk about Priya even since the breakup and try as she may, is helpless in setting the record straight about her daughter's personality, that is reason enough to have developed in her the eccentricities and desperation we've seen in her over the past couple weeks. So true @bold. Even I noticed that despite her panic she was not as shrill and annoying as she has been in the past. I hope this is a permanent change and that she continues to be audible, even if she does get carried away! 😆 You are right about Ashwin being the probable cause of Shipra's schizo-ness. I guess now that she has taken out her bhadaas on Ashwin, maybe she has expelled some of that poison?

- I must second your annoyance with Niharika's slooowww speech 😆 It sounds really exaggerated and unclear. If, God forbid, this show goes the usual Kekta route and we get treated to showdowns between her and Priya, the poor lady will never be able to keep up to her DIL's super speedy sarcasm we witnessed in the staircase scene with Ram! By the time she finishes saying "Priya", the latter will have delivered a good 10 punchlines already. LMAO! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That's hilarious! And so true!

- The general convos you sparked off of today's epi's themes - the concept of soulmates, listening to your heart vs. listening to your mind, the appeal of imperfection - great discussion ideas, more on them later. In fact each one probably deserves a thread of its own. For now, I would just say - from a place of very little experience 😆 - that perfect as people may seem for each other, love is always going to be something of a work in progress. You can't know everything about a person, and people don't stay the same. They undergo experiences they've been through before and in reaction, new sides of them are either created or revealed (that's the phase of this show I'm most looking forward to, the one we saw in promos - the one through which two people keep learning their differences and continue to fall in love in spite of/because of
them - hopefully Ekta doesn't forget that that's enough to keep us glued, her usual saas bahu elements need not apply!). So no, I'm not too sure about soulmates or perfect matches, I'm more inclined to believe that a relationship can be made to work between anyone and anyone else - but the motivation to work at it will only exist if there's that spark you referred to in the precap. Not of a perfect match, but of a lively one - that in which they both literally spring to life in each other's presence, regardless of the things that make them different from one another. They've had, all in all, maybe 4 scenes together since the show has started, and we already see the magic - can't wait until they're living under the same roof and such scenes and sentiments will become a day to day occurrence! @bold - Exactly right! I think most people here have a similar thought process - that a soulmate can be MADE rather than just drop from the heavens perfectly formed. And life and love are works in progress and will always require ACTIVE involvement from both parties. That's why so many people get divorced so quickly - they feel that the marriage doesn't live up to the "happily ever after" fairytale they had envisaged, not realising that they have to nurture that themselves. I read a passage somewhere - can't really remember where - that really struck home with me. I'll probably be paraphrasing, but here goes:

People who fall in love often say there is a magic, an electricity in the air. The first few days of an affair are like a heady cloud of happiness, a drug. They marry and expect that this will last forever, but soon find that the magic runs out, the supply is gone, the cloud evaporates. What they don't realise is that the beginning of a relationship is that magical because they are both making it magical. They work to impress the other person, to surprise them, to like and be liked. They think that doing this in the beginning of the relationship will create a store of this magic and will last them forever, so after a while they stop making this magic. They stop investing in each other. Then, the magic runs out and they blame each other. They say "we fell out of love", when they should be realising that they stopped trying to stay in love.

talking generally, my own story is like that ...i did have proposals from some guys who were almost near perfect and would just agree to what I say, the "nice" ones...And then i met my hubby...he was fierce, would not keep "singing" my praises, would fight with me, I am cool headed and he is or rather was hot headed, but somewhere we clicked and I fell in love...he had enough good qualities that a normal good person shud have, but at the same time we had some differences which made our relationship more interesting...There is a spark, there is always more romance when you make up after a fight:p...so i agree with you, that somewhere an "ideal" guy makes a boring life partner...atleast thats wht in my case but ofcourse there might be people who prefer the ideal ones...its just about who you click with and with whom you come alive

Hai 😍 that sounds awesome. Like my ideal relationship 😆. I don't have a long list of what I want from a guy - I just want him to be different from me. I already live with me, I have no interest in cloning myself in that way 😆

First things first, ever since I've heard The Mamaji call Niharika as 'Sweety', 'Switty Switty Switty tera paisa jayeda' I cant stop humming the tune with a l'le modification though. Hahaha, that's hilarious! I have to go hear this song now...I've only heard the Nakkadwaley song 😆

Vineet is Edwardish (Twilight fans dont pounce on me please 😆). He seems too perfect, to the extent of being sickening. One major reason ppl coonect with Harry Potter more is cause JKR has included imperfections in his character. The goods and the flaws, both maketh a man. Rambling much, am I? 😆 LMAO - dunno about Edward; but agree with you on flaws maketh the man. Saccharine sweetness is not endearing in men or women.

I know you said you are paraphrasing, but love love love this paragraph of yours...especially the last line. Wow!!! You are a really talented writer. I even googled the last line to see if it was out of a book, but got no results.

Hello this is my first post in this forum.. Was in dilemma weather to post or not.. Bu can't refrain myself from doing so aftr going thru your post.. Huge of RiYa jodi watched it from starting and want to be an eternal part of this forum and I hope that you guys will accept me with open arms.. Though I already have some frnds here like Mru, Fuzzy, Fivr, Zuby, Maz , Naureat, and may be there are some whom I have still not noticed on this forum.. Ok coming to the post..

@Vasu.. Iliked your post very very much.. But there seems to be something wrong with my system.. Everytime I try to hit the like button it gets hanged.. I hope this post gets pasted on this page.. *Finger's crossed* I really like the way you said that women find something attractive about the unsafe guy and always drawn towards him rather than the goody two shoes.. and the comparison of Vineet to Vanilla nd Ram to the Choco Icecream swirl with pecan and brandy was just too mouth watering and tempting... You made me hungry too.. *Curses on you* LOL.. Anyway coming to the point.. Well I would definitely would not prefer Vineet.. I mean such perfection gets kind of nostalgic and gives you head ache.. i mean where is the fun in life if you can't even argue with your life partner or make him agree to your decisions sometimes and sometimes agree to his.. This is life na where where we care and share and sometimes let go things which are dear to us for the sake of the person who is more dearer to us then the thing.. I have started blabbering now. hope I'm making some sense..

Aw, thanks. Yes, the last line especially is a paraphrase which is why you can't find it online 😆 I honestly can't remember where I read it...must have been a few months ago...but the gist of it stuck in my head, even though I lost the words.

LOL, even I was hungry after writing that 😆

But yes, I agree with you that half the fun in a relationship comes from arguing and making him do what YOU want...and sometimes giving in to what he wants. Life is more exciting and unpredictable that way...
