Well, well, well. Isn't this a turn up for the books? Previously shrill, shrieky and unsympathetic Shipra actually speaking sense? (God, what is with the UNINTENDED S alliteration?! 😆😆).
In that first scene with Dubey-ji I was SURE that Shipra would turn around and take his criticisms of Priya (or rather, the criticisms of potential suitors) and use it against Priya but actually she was very vocal in defending her. She understood and, for the first time, acknowledged the value of education, and how it makes the person, rather than breaking them. Well done to whoever's responsible for this changed Shipra. With moments like this, I can better tolerate her other, rather more annoying qualities.
But, EXCUSE ME Mr Dubey - Reputation?!! How does being educated give you a "reputation"? Or having a man DUMP you because you are not rich enough? THAT'S a reputation? 🤢 Sad that this is actually the mindset of so many people in India - that a girl is to blame if the guy breaks off his relationship with her. She must have done something wrong to push him away *rolls eyes*.
That stairs scene with Ashwin and Shipra was a weirdly macabre throw-back to the earlier, lighter scene between Ram and Priya. I can't fathom this guy Ashwin at all - he seems to want to be overly helpful and craves their forgiveness like a drug; but he was the one who broke off the relationship, right? For money? Is he regretting it now? Or did he come under family pressure at the time? Whatever the case, he is not worth Priya's time but I do find his puppy-dog expressions perplexing under the circumstances.
For a moment, when Priya actually apologised to Ashwin, I rolled my eyes and braced myself for that whole mahaan Ekta heroine thing to re-surface; but gladly for me they kept that mahaan-ness to a minimum and rather showed that Priya simply doesn't feel anything towards him, love or anger. He is not a factor in her life anymore.
LOL, Ram jee - if every man who reads Shakespeare (or should I say, if every man who can QUOTE arguably THE MOST FAMOUS LINE IN SHAKESPEARE EVER!!) is a potential candidate for Priya, you might as well hit up the nearest English Lit college class 😆😆 that dude practically looks young enough to still be in college anyway; he could very well have been one of Priya's students!
Can't believe he is conducting a marriage interview in front of half his employees 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 And LMAO at everyone else trying to get promoted 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm sure this is against some kind of working laws somewhere in the world 🤣 is this how Ram runs his business?!!!
Side note: Why does Niharika taaalk sooo slooowwwlllyyy??? 😕 It's really annoying, along with her teenage-girl suits.
LOL Ishika's saas turns out to be the unwitting Cupid in RP's marriage 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh God, who is this new entry?! Typical EK fodder?! Did we really need this right now? A klepto, evil maama?! Interesting conception...but filler, filler, filler.
LMAO at Ram's name being in the list! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 dude, even your staff thinks its a good idea 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Amazing how Ram's thoughts about Karthik changing his mind echoed the situation in Priya's life - Ashwin changing his mind.
I really, really, really loved that Shipra-Priya scene. I know, I know, you're thinking "what the hell has happened to this girl? She's hated Shipra since the show began" 😆😆 Kya karoon yaaron? Finally Shipra showed that she was Priya's mother also, that she loved her and respected her, even if she doesn't understand her. The last scene with the rishta was also lovely and understated. Obviously there is some catch since we know the boy will not be Priya's husband, but I still liked that family camaraderie and love. Though Karthik's comment was unintentionally very funny: "Shipra's actions and Sudhir's prayers" LMAO. That's all the man is good for.
Precap was 😲😲😲😲 it has to be a dream otherwise this seems to be turning into a Shakespearean tragedy.
This was the first episode in a while that I did not love in its entirety - and that was because of the random new entry and filler nonsense. No body cares about Niharika and her kleptomaniac brother, and was it just me, or when the bro suggested "getting rid of the root of the problem", did it seem like he meant KILL Ram? Maybe I've watched too many BT shows 😆
Anyway, ep was saved (barely) by...of all people, SHIPRA. The world is a very strange place...😆😆😆😆😆
