I was reading the updates.....and there is an episode of A refusing to throw the rice over her head b/c it means she will be breaking the bonds with her maayka.....

NOW where did the writers get this from?

Girls are supposed to symbolize Laxami/wealth/prosperity...and b/c the girl is leaving for the first time....it is just a way of preventing the girl from taking all the luck with her....as she kinda makes sure she does not leave the house all empty...and after her they don't struggle/suffer (don't go hungry etc....or business losses).

When she throws it over her head, she is just making sure the prosperity doesn;'t leave them.....

At least that was what I was told!

Personally, I think it's a waste of rice. I don't care what it symbolizes, using "food" shouldn't be an option.
Then theres that whole milk thing, I mean seriously, people are starving, and people waste rice and milk.

Just my opinion.

The reason that they gave, even i thought was wrong, because by throwing rice you dont break any relationship with your parents, what you are saying is right and the proper reason. i think the creatives just needed an excuse to stretch the show at the time 😳

I dont know either...But when Aastha said that she wont throw the rice..Her aunt told her that when u throw the rice it kinda means that u are paying back for everything ur parents gave u until now (Cloths, Fodd and etc)

I dont think she said that this means that u are breaking every bond from ur family. 😊
