29th June 2011 WU - JhumRoo's Sangeet

The episode begins with Gau and Bharti totally drenched in rain and Gau blasting away Bharti like there is no tomorrow. Bharti keeps following Gau and says that a piece of paper is not going to matter when I have given you my word and would never break that promise. Gau gets angry and asks her to "STOP" and stop making big promises. (Talk about being treated like a doormat, SHEESH!!). Bharti is in utter shock and looks at her like what the hell happened to this woman (Unknowing of the fact that Chimti has totally brainwashed Gau and she is under her spell). Gau keeps yelling at Bharti and adds that she never practices what she preaches and she along with her mother and the rest of the family never left a single opportunity to belittle her and put her down. She also says that Bharti and her mom have the riches and to show off her mother brings her expensive gifts and calls all the factory workers to give expensive gifts as well. (Let's step back here, whose house and whose factory is it by the way??) She further adds that Bharti's mom does all these things to portray their richness and show Gau and her mom how poor they are and how they can't afford any of the riches. Bharti denies and says that is not the case and her mom is not like that and Gau is misinterpreting everything. Gau asks baby boy or girl is decided by God and why do you take so much pride to show off that just because you are having a boy (Really, Gau!! who is making the drama here based on the gender of the baby?? It's you and your churlish mom you silly woman). Gau says that she is elder DIL only for name sake and Bharti is the one who gets love, respect, etc. from the family. Gau also adds that she changed her attitude so they have peace and harmony in the house but it is because of Bharti she is feeling the way she is feeling now. Bharti gets special treatment in the form of Kesar milk, gifts, etc because she has everyone wrapped around her fingers and they only care for her. Bharti says that no one has bad intentions and she would never do anything to selfishly hoard things just for her. Gau says that Bharti can deny all she wants but Gau is not that stupid to not understand that everything that is happening is because of Bharti's deeds and actions. Gau says that it was stupid of her to change believing that everything and everyone has changed and since that is not the case she is going to go back to her old ways and not be gullible and naive to get betrayed and mistreated. She takes an oath saying that she will fight for her rights, her family and most of all for the rights of her baby and curses Bharti that she and her baby will never be able to live peacefully. (Gau, you have no rights other than staying at the mercy of Bharti who by the way should put you in your place by kicking you out. Wait, did Murli not do that and you Bharti you brought these greedy money mongers back. I almost sound like Vrish when I say "Now you have to pay a price for what you did").

At Laal mansion, preparations are well under its way for Jhumroo's Sangeet ceremony. Dhumroo tells everyone that he is the most important person of today's ceremony and one of the guests comment that he is really eager to get the ceremony going as he is the first one to get dressed and looking forward for it. One of the ladies asks Kamla about her DILs and Kamla says that they should have been here already and asks the ladies to start the sangeet. May be the sound of music would make them come downstairs. Dhumroo sits amongst the ladies and Kamla chides him to go and get Mridang and Murli. Kamla asks Veena why those two have not come down yet. (Veena looked very very pretty today. Had to comment on that, since she is the next and last one in line to get married. May be she will find a varr in Dhumroo's Sangeet or wedding!!) In comes Gau walking through the doors soaking wet and Kamla is shocked to see her that way and asks her why is she not ready yet and soaking wet and also asks her what the problem is. Mridang comes over and asks Gau why did she go out when the weather is so bad without telling anyone. (I liked the way Mridang took charge and questioned Gau and I could also see his concern) Chimti comes in the middle and tells that Gau wanted to have fun in the rain and went out to get drenched like a little kid without listening to her and asks Kamla to advise her. Kamla tells her that she is not alone to do whatever she wishes and to NOT do things that are not good for the baby and asks her to go and get ready quickly. Chimti takes her upstairs to get her ready.

At the house, Murli, Mridang and Bansi stand at the entrance welcoming all the guests. Out in the road, Bharti is trying to digest things that have transpired between her and Gau. She is crying as she is walking towards the house with the recollection of all the harsh words that Gau has spoken and the curse that she gave to her and her baby. A car comes towards Bharti and stops in front of her as she faints not being able to withstand the horrible incident between her and Gau (OMG, Poor Bharti!! I felt really bad and horrible. My heart was in my mouth when I saw her drop to the floor). I guess people on the road took her to the hospital and the doctor examines her as she was getting her conscious back. Bharti wakes up and asks the doctor how did she get here and the doctor says that she was lucky to have narrowly escaped a major accident and not have any injuries.

At the house, Kamla asks Gau where is Bharti and wonders why is it taking so long for her to get ready and come downstairs. Gau gives her the evil looks.. (Gau looked good except for those mean looks). At the hospital, Bharti tries to get up and the doctor asks her to lie down and not worry about anything and it is normal to feel dizzy during pregnancy and on top of that she got drenched in the rain. The doctor also tells Bharti that she should inform her husband. At the house everyone is enjoying the Sangeet as we see Gau and Chimti walk down the stairs and Kamla is surprised to not see Bharti. Chimti goes over and grabs two glasses of juice from a guy who was serving drinks while Kamla looks at Gau and says that she looks beautiful and asks her why she looks dull when they are having such a happy ceremony. Kamla asks gau to cheer up for the sake of her sister and BIL. Kamla asks Gau to bring Bharti down and just when Gau was about to say something, in comes Chimti and tells her to go and get Bharti as she would handle everything downstairs.

At the hospital, the doctor looks at her reports and Bharti asks if everything is OK. The doctor says that she wants to talk to her husband and asks Bharti to call him. Bharti says that he can't come here and asks the doctor to tell what's going on. The doctor drops a bomb on Bharti by saying that at this point, it is not safe for her and baby and the best option that she can give is to abort the baby. Bharti is utterly shocked and is heart broken by the word "abortion". The doctor also adds that if she goes on with the pregnancy then only the baby will be able to survive and not her. Emotions flood through Bharti when she places a hand over her stomach and tries to digest the inconceivable fact that the doctor has just uttered. She looks at several baby pictures at the doctor's office and cries uncontrollably. (People take this route for several reasons but as far as I am concerned it is still like killing a living, breathing human being. Only difference is that it is called a foetus because it cannot function outside of the mother's womb. When the doctor uttered the word abortion, it pained my heart just as it did to Bharti. My heart goes out to her and to any one of them who are forced to take that route).

One thing for sure is that Bharti is going to do the exact same thing that Murli did earlier with her and not tell him about what the doctor told and he finds out in the end and they both argue over who to save. She will vote for the baby and he will vote for her. My other theory is that Murli finds out sooner by going to the doctor without her and asks the doctor what the problem is if and only if Bharti shows some tell-tale signs that she is having problems. Then Murli will want her to abort and she would sneak out of the house at night leaving a note not to search for her (haven't we see this is in countless number of serials) and comes back with the kid after 7 years.
