Okay, I wrote to SBS. Not a creative email but here it is ...
Hello,
I was browsing the Internet and noticed that there is very little media coverage on Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo and its cast.
I found a couple of newsclips on YouTube by SBS but not much, and was wondering why this 'hatke' show isn't getting any help from the media?
I really think that given a fair coverage, the show could become one of the top 50 shows on Indian TV. My thought currently is that because Imagine TV is known mostly for its reality shows, a lot of sensible people are avoiding that channel thinking all their product is garbage. Imagine has cancelled so many shows of late and Baba Aiso Varr may meet the same fate, not because it is not a good show but because people are unaware of it and its talent, especially Juhi Aslam, Vikrant Massey, Darshan Gandas and Ishita Dhawan.
I know it is weird that I am writing to starnews to promote an imagine.tv show - but maybe, if starnews executive took interest then the show could move from imagine to starnews. I don't know how it works in India but here in North America, networks pick up shows from other networks all the time.
Raakesh Paswan took a huge risk in introducing Juhi Aslam. She could have bombed BIG TIME had she not, for someone who doesn't come from any acting background, been so naturally outstanding and beautiful. Do you not agree that when you watch her, she excels in acting more than the likes of Kareena Kapoor and Aishwariya Rai in their first year as actors?
