The wedding preparations for Veena's wedding are on full swing. There's a lot of singing & dancing at the Lal mansion where everybody seems to enjoy except Bharti. Rupesh gives Murli the news of the goods of Bharti Sweets being exported to USA so Murli takes his leave saying he'll be back soon. There is news of bomb blast in the city. Prakash along with his fake parents arrive with shagun. There's a curfew in the city due to the bomb blasts. The Lal family is worried as Murli is not at home. Rupesh & Murli have to go for an urgent delivery of sweets to a hotel for Ketan Bhai's party despite the curfew. At Lal mansion, Prakash & his fake parents are requested to stay back by Bansi Lal due to the curfew. Somehow Rupesh & Murli manage to cook up a story of going to the hospital in front of the police & get away being able to deliver the sweets successfully though late.
On the other hand, Prakash is trying to get close with Veena & raises the suspicion of Bharti. She tries to warn Veena but Veena warns her not to interfere in her life & points out at Bharti's relation with Murli as a failure. Bharti is hurt & later consoled by Kamala. Ketan bhai is impressed with Rupesh & Murli & signs the contract & hands them over the cheque of Rs. 50,000 in advance. The curfew is over by then.
Prakash & his fake parents leave with a promise to return after 2 days. Bharti phones Dhara & finds out that Murli & Rupesh had gone to deliver sweets despite the curfew. Bharti starts discussing with Rupesh on the phone & on seeing Murli puts down the phone & starts complaining about Murli's behavior. Murli finally loses his temper & shouts back. He shares the news of receiving the money. Bharti congratulates him. Mridang is angry that the wedding is taking place & Gaushala is doing nothing. Gaushala discusses her plan with Mridang in mute & both are happy.
Neelam arrives at the Lal mansion where the Haldi rasam is on full swing. There's a lot of dancing & singing. When Bharti tries to dance with Murli, he turns the other way. Neelam notices this & later on starts questioning Bharti. She suggests Bharti to take the step in getting closer to Murli. Meanwhile Prakash calls up & informs the Lal family that his parents are going back to the village & won't be there for the wedding. The Lal family decides to go & talk with his parents. Neelam tells Bharti to take this opportunity & hands over her a night dress. She hesitatingly agrees. Bansi Lal along with Kamala, Mridang & Gaushala go to meet Prakash & tells Murli to stay back home. Neelam tells Veena to come out with her & takes Dumroo along with them. Bharti decorates the room with candles, flowers & starts singing. Murli hears music playing & to find out from where it is coming, he heads towards the room & finds Bharti over there who's trying to get close with him. Murli gets highly disappointed with her behavior. Bharti apologizes & Murli tells her to forget everything.
On the other hand, Prakash & his fake parents start their drama on seeing the Lal family. The fake parents say they're going back to the village & won't attend the wedding if they don't get dowry & demand for 40 lakhs instead of 10 lakhs. The Lal family discuss about this at home. Bharti warns them what if the demand doesn't stop after marriage & says Prakash is not the right person for Veena. Prakash appears & says he's left his family & loves Veena & will marry her without dowry. Mridang who is not convinced starts beating Prakash but he manages to convince Mridang that he loves Veena & is not after their money. Gaushala is disappointed that Mridang has started trusting Prakash.
Bharti once again apologizes to Murli for her behavior of trying to get close to him. Murli says not to worry as he's forgotten about it & decides to sleep in Dumroo's room leaving Bharti upset. The next day, the wedding prepartations are full on swing. Bharti finds Gaushala in her room suffering from morning sickness where she reveals to Bharti that she's pregnant & tells the entire truth about how Prakash was brought in by Mridang & her to force Murli for the marriage. Bharti assures Gaushala that she'll stop the wedding. Rupesh tells Murli that they've got a deal & have to go to delhi. Murli leaves & says he'll come back for the wedding.
Bharti finds Prakash's phone & listens to the conversation of his fake father. She warns Prakash to reveal the truth himself or she'll expose him in front of everybody. Prakash says he'll destroy Bharti's life if she messes up with him. Bharti tells everything to Veena while Prakash defends himself saying that Bharti wants Veena to get married to Bhushan's son & that's why she's lying. Veena warns Bharti to stay out of this matter. Nobody else in the house has time to listen to Bharti. All her efforts of trying to contact Murli on the phone go in vain. Murli & Rupesh arrive the next day. As all are busy dancing, Bharti & Gaushala are tensed. The wedding is taking place; finally Bharti speaks up & requests to stop this wedding & tells the truth about Prakash. Nobody believes her. Prakash walks out gracefully when he comes to know that Bharti has also called the police. Everybody start blaming Bharti.
Veena tries to commit suicide & Bharti is blamed for all this. Bharti decides to leave the house as she's hurt that even Murli didn't trust her. Nobody stops her. Rupesh with Bhushan try to find out about Prakash & get to know his real parents are in village. Knowing Bharti has left her home Rupesh gets angry & demands an explanation from Murli & tries to tell him the truth. Murli reveals the truth of his relationship with Bharti. There is a heated discussion between Rupesh & Murli while Kamala intervenes & defends her son. Rupesh in a fit of rage tells the entire Lal family to leave the house within 12 hours as it is not their Lal mansion but his house.
The Lal family decides to go back to their old house but Murli finds out that Mridang has sold their old house using Bansi Lal's signature taken on the blank paper some time ago. There is a heated discussion between the men of the family. Bansi is shocked by Mridang's behavior & falls sick. The Lal family except Mridang & Gaushala, leaves the house to search for a place to live but are unable to find a place & spend the night outside in the cold. Bharti goes to the Lal mansion & finds Mridang & Gaushala there. On not finding the others, she goes out to search for them. She finds them. She tells them to come back home at least for the sake of Bansi Lal. They finally agree. Rupesh also comes there with Dhara claiming that he has a 50% share with Murli & will stay in the house.
Bharti's saree catches fire in the kitchen while she climbs up to get the sugar bottle placed at a height by Gaushala. Murli saves her & Bharti is taken to the hospital by Rupesh while all the others follow too & the police step in for the investigation. Rupesh backs off saying he won't interfere in the investigation. Murli is hurt with Rupesh's statement & the police drag the Lal family to the police station. It's the same inspector who was in shimla who recognizes Murli & starts interrogating the family & torturing them. On the other hand, Thakur sahib & Amit who is a midget are introduced in the serial. Amit's arm is broken so the doctors tell thakur that Amit won't be able to work in the circus. Thakur spots another midget Bharti & decides to make her work instead of Amit. Bharti is kidnapped; however she's saved by the police who had been informed by Amit. Dhara & Bharti thank Amit.
In the police station, Bansi's health starts declining while Murli begs to give his father water. A press reporter named Kamal Sharma is noticing all this & tells the inspector to send Bansi to the hospital otherwise he'll write down everything what happened in the newspaper. Fearing this, inspector releases Bansi with Murli along with some constables. Murli takes Bansi to the hospital where the doctors blame Murli for being careless & not bringing Bansi before. They reveal it was a severe asthma attack & his father could have died. Murli gets shocked & goes back to the police station & lies about everything that he & his family were cheated by Rupesh as they didn't know Bharti was a midget. With the support of the press reporter & Murli's con, the Lal family is released.
On reaching home, everybody gets the news that Rupesh has been taken to the police station for investigation. Murli gets a call from the police station & lies in front of Bharti that he could provide the photos which don't reveal Bharti's height leaving her shocked. Rupesh comes there & starts arguing with Murli. Murli accuses him of lying in front of the police despite him being the one who saved Bharti from the fire. There is a heated discussion between Rupesh & Murli while all this discussion is being recorded by the press reporter & is later shown on TV.
The telecast gets the attention of the dwarf community who break into the house to fight for Bharti's rights. Bharti tries to stop them & calls the police. The dwarf community paints the faces of the entire Lal family with black color & puts garland of shoes around Gaushala's neck. Finally the police arrive & take the situation under control. The Lal family is under shock with all this. Murli decides to destroy Rupesh & Bharti.
Murli & Dumroo arrive at a rice feeding ceremony where they have been called to play the bands while Rupesh along with his family are also invited there. There is a heated confrontation between Murli & Rupesh's friends at the ceremony while a group of eunuch also arrive there who later on pull Bharti in their crowd & force her to dance. Murli doesn't save Bharti this time but feels bad later. The group of eunuch leaves after getting the money. Later on knowing what happened, Bansi tries to show some concern for Bharti which is rejected by Rupesh.
Murli decides to apologize to Bharti but is stopped by Rupesh. Bharti is extremely hurt as Murli didn't save her this time. Amit is brought in & introduced to Rupesh by Bhushan where Rupesh decides to make Amit the assistant manager. Murli doesn't accept it & Bharti intervenes & asks for divorce. Everybody is shocked with the decision & tries to convince Murli & Bharti to change their minds but both stick to the decision. Both appeal for the divorce under mutual consent while Murli says he would name his 50% shares of business in the name of Bharti but he demands for the house in return. Rupesh agree. Later the court gives them a deadline of 6 months. Bharti with her parents leave the Lal mansion.
Bharti decides to start working in the factory along with Amit & help Rupesh. Murli unable to find a job decides to start his own business Lal Band Party & Tent House but has no money for it. Bansi tells Mridang to give money from the sale of their old house to Murli. Gaushala says she'll call someone from her maayaka to bring the money. Jhumka enters the serial who is Gaushala's sister. Murli spots Bharti with Amit on a scooter one day while discussing his money problems with his friends & looks disappointed. Gaushala wants Jhumka to trap Murli so that they can get the house in their names. Jhumka drinks the intoxicated milk that was placed by Gaushala for Murli & instead is trapped herself with Dumroo. Though Jhumka has been brought in for Murli she seems more impressed with Dumroo. Jhumka & Dumroo start getting attracted towards each other.
On the other hand, Bharti discovers Prakash being a friend of Amit & tells everything to Amit. Amit decides to help Bharti in trapping Prakash. Amit makes an attempt but fails to find out about Prakash's fake parents on Prakash's mobile. Gyan who is a friend of Murli takes him to his uncle's business partner named Ram Avtar. Murli notices Ram Avtar as a violent husband who starts beating his wife Sudha in front of them for dropping the glasses of lassi brought for them. Murli feels sorry for Sudha. Ram Avatar demands 2 lakhs in advance from Murli. Jhumka starts another attempt to trap Murli but Murli who was disturbed by the violence faced by Sudha pushes Jhumka away.
Later Murli tells his family he needs money for the business otherwise his dream of establishing his own business would fail. Kamala gives her ornaments to Murli. Bansi remembers some money in his bank account & hands his bank book over to Murli. Dumroo too gives him some money. Murli says this is not even half of the amount demanded by Ram Avatar. Veena suggests Murli to start the business out of what he has & later on from the profits he can get the rest of the money to pay it to Ram Avatar.
Murli goes to Ram Avatar's place & hears a woman crying. He sees Sudha applying medicine on her wounds on her back & on seeing Murli there, she runs out of the room. Murli gives the money to Ram Avatar. Ram Avatar stops Murli to have food with him. Sudha accidently pours hot daal on Murli's feet. Ram Avatar starts beating her. Murli, unable to see all this, leaves & stops at a general store to buy medicines for a headache. Bharti also arrives there to buy chocolate. Amit also arrives there. Bharti leaves without taking the change & Murli leaves without taking his medicine. The shopkeeper is puzzled. Amit assures Bharti that everything will be fine once Prakash's truth is out. On reaching home, Murli narrates the entire incident of Sudha in front of his family.
At night Murli gets a call from Sudha who warns him not to do business with her husband as he is not a decent guy. Murli discusses this with his family the next day & goes to get his money back. He cancels his deal with Ram Avatar who in return refuses to give him back his money. Murli tells this to his family & has no evidence of giving the money to Ram Avater so can't take help from the police. Bharti & Amit are still busy investigating about Prakash where once again they fail to find any kind of information about Prakash as Prakash has not been going to his office for a long time. Bharti is sad & Amit encourages Bharti that she is no less than any other girl of normal height. He tells her to move on in life & everything will be alright. Rupesh is pleased with Amit.
